If a colleague at another company uses Auvik SaaS Management but doesn't use the assessment product, I would ask if they have anything else for SaaS management. If they already have network monitoring with Auvik, it would also make sense to use their SaaS Management. However, I'd like to know their reasoning if they use another product for different reasons. Overall, I would give it an eight out of ten. For new users, I advise establishing contact with support and your account representative before doing a full rollout of the devices. This way, you can address any issues that may come up.
I rate Auvik Auvik SaaS Management a 10 out of 10. It's one of our favorite tools. Users need to know that it operates as a browser extension and looks at all the software used on an end-user's computer. If they have a good relationship with their customer, that shouldn't be a problem.
I rate Auvik SaaS Management a nine out of ten. Go with Auvik SaaS Management. Once it is deployed to all the clients, make sure you have a package together. Obviously, you're paying more for this solution, so your clients should be aware of the expanded features you're offering. Once you get it onboarded, meet with all the clients to ensure they categorize the software correctly the first time. That's probably the only time you need to spend real time on the software. After that, it's just reading about the changes in the environment. It's an easy sell for anybody trying to provide cybersecurity features.
I rate Auvik SaaS Management eight out of 10. It's a great product. My advice to future users is to follow the documentation because it's great. I recommend doing a trial to test it out. We did a demo to see how it worked, which helped us evaluate and select the tool.
We don't really dig into the logging side of the solution. They keep a mountain of data that is at our fingertips if we want it. They're really good at collecting it. We don't leverage at the level of parsing through it, but from a collection standpoint, given all of the logging that it does, it's pretty robust. When evaluating a SaaS management solution, look at what you're trying to accomplish going into it, and then look at the solution that aligns with those end goals. To just throw out a goal like, "I'm looking for SaaS management," might be a great start, but what are you trying to do with that? Find what application is going to meet those requirements. I know that's a simple definition for any type of software acquisition, but especially in the service-provider realm, everyone says they need to do SaaS management. Whether you're looking at Auvik SaaS Management or one or two of their service-provider-focused competitors, they all do it a little bit differently. Depending on what your end goals are, one is going to fit better than the others.

I rate Auvik Auvik SaaS Management eight out of 10. My advice is to understand this tool's purpose when evaluating it. From talking to coworkers or other people in the tech industry, I feel shadow IT monitoring has a bad reputation as a monitoring tool for seeing what people are doing. There is a productivity aspect because you can see how much time is spent, but the overall goal is to check your SaaS applications to determine where your data is and where you're vulnerable. It's more of a security solution. I would advise looking at it from that angle and not something else.
