Sangfor NGAF has not shared how it has impacted our customer security operations with my company's sales team. If they do share such information, it is usually with the sales team while I am on the presales team. I am only a consultant, so the product doesn't share such details directly with me. The tool helped our customers with threat mitigation strategies because it has AI functionalities that are helpful. Suppose an enterprise customer wants a firewall as the first thing inside the company because of its cost-effectiveness. In that case, I think Sangfor NGAF can be a good option as it comes with the features and abilities of the firewall. I think it is quite a great option for enterprise users. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.
The solution improves network performance as it is a security product. HCI solutions are used in the Pakistani market, and it is a virtualization solution. We are presenting two solutions for the Pakistani market. One is a security tool like a firewall, and the second is HCI, a storage solution for virtualization. My company sells Sangfor tools to more than 100 clients. The tool's performance is good. The tool's application control feature is a built-in option. The tool's intrusion prevention system is a feature that can be described as a built-in functionality. I recommend the tool to others because it is a good, economical, scalable, user-friendly, and super secure product. The tool's updates are fine. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

The solution is easy to maintain. One person is enough for it. It is easy to integrate with other solutions like Active Directory and Windows server. Sangfor has a very low cost. So, every company or organisation can easily afford this product. Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.
As there are some problems with the product partner, my company has not been able to fit in the web-filtering functionality of the product to meet our needs. So far, the performance and reliability of the product have supported our company's critical network traffic. I don't recommend the product to others who plan to use it, considering that the tool has problems in areas like support and deployment. I rate the product a four out of ten.

I hope that its distributor possesses a high level of product knowledge, and the same applies to Sangfor itself as the principal company. This would enable customers to have a more seamless and enriching experience with the product, eliminating any barriers or disconnect between our team, the customers, and the software. Overall, I would rate it seven out of ten.

Sangfor is a security company, and whenever we pitch their complete solution to security, the customer normally takes it case by case. First, they normally get the firewalls, then the rest of the solution's offerings to get 360-degree security for their organization. Sangfor is always coming up with something new to add value to their products. In their Internet access gateway, they are introducing a new feature called data leak prevention and stuff like that. When it comes to security, people are very touchy, especially customers. They want good security parameters when it comes to security. If any principal comes up with new technologies and offerings within the same bundle, customers see that it adds value. My clients wanted to have an appliance or a virtual firewall on-premises. The rest of the collaboration comes with Neural-X, which needs the Internet so that customers can get information about new threats and malicious viruses so that it can get updated on the fly. Regarding the sizing, we keep providing the growth factor for the customer. For example, if the customer has 1,000 users, we oversize it, considering a growth factor of 10% to 15% per year. If the customer grows, they won't have to rip and replace their appliances. They have the provision to have peace of mind for three to five years. The Pakistani market is tricky, where people are very conscious of prices. You need to add value by having good pricing and technical capabilities. Rating Sangfor NGAF technically and financially, I rate it a nine out of ten. Rating it financially, it was a ten out of ten six months back. But not now.

If it fulfills the basic features, it is cheaper than and better than, cost-effective than the other two brands, Fortinet and Sophos. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I would not recommend use of the solution at all. There has not been one single improvement or feature update in the last year. The solution is very bad at R&D. The solution also keeps changing names and product positioning. It used to be called Butler, then Cloud Platforms. There is not a single Sangfor employee right now outside of China who can give an explanation of their products. They don't know how the products even work. For example, they can't explain who can book the NGAF with Neural-X, with Engine Zero, or with a Platform-X or Butler cyber command. I rate the solution a four out of ten.
Whether or not this solution is good for you depends on your network. If you have sufficient technical support, then you can go for an open-source solution. Without that and if you have the funds, then this is a good solution. If not, then most of what firewalls do these days can be handled by an open-source solution. This is a new solution in our country where the price tag really matters. They have targeted the public sector and I'm seeing more and more people moving towards Sangfor because it's cheaper than other products, and the support is quite good. I rate the solution seven out of 10.

My advice to others is they should try the solution. I have experienced other solutions, such as Fortinet and I feel much better using this solution overall. I rate Sangfor NGAF a nine out of ten.
I rate this product an eight out of ten because we don't know what we may need from this solution in the future. We are satisfied and hope to upgrade to a new version soon. However, right now, our current version is working fine. In terms of advice, we would recommend Sangfor NGAF. But, a company should first prepare an analysis, compare different products, and then decide what they want.
We have six people managing IT operations. We have not had any issues in the first six months of using this solution. If you want to deploy a firewall in your infrastructure, Fortinet, Sangfor and Sophos are the best solutions to protect traffic. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
This product is very user-friendly, and its Layer 7 security is very much improved. It can be customized to a very deep level. I would give this solution a score of eight out of ten.
I would recommend this solution to others. I have clients that are switching from Fortinet to Sangfor NGAF because the price of Fortinet's service is increasing. Sangfor NGAF has good integration with their endpoints which makes it a very attractive offering. Sangfor is arranging much-needed training for resellers. There needs to be better marketing awareness not for the reseller, but for the consumer here in Malaysia. Sangfor needs to do some advertisements to attract more market awareness. Relying on resellers can be difficult when the market is very large. However, resellers do focus on their product, they also try to engage, and hire more. I rate Sangfor NGAF an eight out of ten.
I am a customer and use Sangfor NGAF 5600 in my premises. There are more than 2,000 users making use of the solution in my company. The solution is quite safe and good. Furthermore, it is very good for different environments. I rate Sangfor NGAF as a nine-point-five out of ten.
We are Sangfor Gold partners. I'd recommend this solution for the SMB market, as it is cost-effective and reliable. If a company is enterprise-sized, something like Sophos may be more suitable. I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

It's important to note that the performance of the solution depends on the initial pre-working and sizing. The sizing is handled by the company and they know their product, so they normally size it very well. They also put in provision for future growth so there's never an issue of performance. There's no such thing as 100% so I would rate this solution a nine out of 10.
Sangfor NGAF is a good product. People should try it, especially those who are not using the software. These firewalls are great and everything is becoming properly defined, even the network, the computer, the firewalls, storage, and everything is just waiting to be properly defined. It's a unique combination and people should try it. In the future, I would like to see it being controlled by an automatic, virtual orchestrator to control the firewall and all the data. One a scale of one to ten, I rate this solution a nine.
