Price-wise, I would not consider Sangfor NGAF to be a cheap product. It is an expensive firewall solution, though not as expensive as something like Palo Alto, which is costly. However, the higher price point is justifiable given the feature set the tool provides that other firewalls may not offer in a single dedicated appliance.
Sangfor falls into the mid-range for pricing, between more affordable options and pricier alternatives like Fortinet. The pricing is slightly higher than the support costs but remains reasonable, with yearly licensing.

The pricing is reasonable. At the time of our decision to acquire the equipment, we were working with a constrained budget and it turned out to be the most suitable choice to meet our specific requirements

Sangfor has recently increased their prices, which is not a good thing. Six months back, the price was very competitive when it came to other principals, but they have increased the price now which is a bit disappointing.

I would rate the pricing model a five out of ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap. We purchased one year of technical support and returned to factory support. So those were additional.

The solution has a total cost of ownership that is 32% to 50% less than Sophos, Fortinet, and SonicWall. Licenses are also less expensive than Sophos. The solution is not out-of-the box because a license is mandatory. You cannot operate the device by itself. This makes no sense because you should be able to use the default features or operate it without a license. Even if the device is capable, you still need a license. The four categories of licenses are features, hardware, software updates or technical support, and advanced features. The vendor insists it is mandatory to buy the minimum features license. This license mandate is very strange. The solution might raise its prices because Fortinet is increasing between 5% to 20% depending on the product and the solution competes with Fortinet. If the leader in the industry increases prices, other vendors will likely follow. The pricing right now is an eight out of ten because it is good.

If you know you have around 200+ computer users on your network, then the Sangfor NGAF 5200-F-I model would be the minimum recommended model for that amount of users. This model includes modules for packet filtering, deep packet inspection, malware scanning, DSCP filtration, and many other features. The 5200-F-I model costs around $5,000 once-off, and then around $1,000 per year for the license renewal for both the hardware and software. The $5,000 payment includes deployment, all the modules, the initial license costs till the next year, and deployment support calls. It covers basically everything to get started, and I would rate the pricing as 5/5 stars in terms of competitiveness.

The license of Sangfor NGAF can be purchased at different interval lengths, such as annually or three years. They offer a range of packages to choose from, such as combo or hybrid packages. We are using the complete solution package which includes IM, NGF and SSL VPN, and WAF. We have purchased the support for three years.
On a scale of one to ten, with one being the cheapest, I rate the price a six out of ten. There are no hidden or additional costs other than what we were provided. Therefore, we are happy with our initial decisions.
Sangfor NGAF price is reasonable and there is an annual license. However, the maintenance cost can be a bit high. Fortinet solutions sell at a very cheap price upfront, but after that maintenance fees, which they keep increasing it can become expensive. I hope Sangfor does not follow that model.

There is some difference in terms of pricing compared to Palo Alto. Sangfor NGAF is around 30% to 35% more cost-effective than other products.
If one is very cheap and ten is very expensive, I rate the tool's price as three out of ten. I am not quite sure about the tool's pricing point.
In my opinion, the price of the tool is good in the Pakistani market. We can easily get discounts if needed. The tool's prices are not firm or strict.

I rate Sangfor NGAF eight out of 10 for affordability. We have an advanced security license that we renew every three years.
We have an annual subscription, which is not expensive. In fact, compared to Fortinet, Sangfor is much more cost-effective.

The price is very cheap. It cannot be matched.
The pricing is good. It's an affordable option for smaller companies.
Sangfor is cheaper than competing vendors.
The pricing should be lowered.
It costs about 8 to 10 thousand dollars per year for 500 users, standard licensing fees included.
