I have experience working with SentinelOne XDR, EDR, and XDR. Trellix DLP also offers EDR, XDR, and DLP solutions. The platform can be on the cloud, but the end users typically have their own devices installed with DLP on-premises. On a scale from one to ten, I rate Trellix DLP a seven.
For the machine learning features in Trellix DLP, it has a live chat where we can ask the AI about any issues on the central management console, and the AI can reply to us. In comparison to Trellix DLP on-prem, Trellix DLP Cloud has some limitations, particularly in LDAP and Active Directory integration. Customers prefer the Cloud for time efficiency because going on-prem requires them to create their own server database, while in the Cloud, they can purchase a license and directly use the Cloud tenant. Customers are primarily using Amazon as their Cloud provider. Trellix DLP is a very good solution, easy to manage and handle, and newcomers find it user-friendly with an easy-to-use console and dashboard. I'm happy with this ability to integrate, and we're getting positive feedback from our customers. Trellix DLP helps fulfill the changing data protection needs of customers by offering predefined classifications, which reduces the time for creating multiple use cases, as it has already defined rules and channels that we can customize and edit. Trellix DLP's advanced reporting and analytical tools help our customers gain insights into data usage and potential vulnerabilities, and if I find anything while managing the console as a security administrator, I can ask Trellix support to analyze further incidents, which they assist with. I rate Trellix DLP 9 out of 10.
I have no knowledge about what improvements could be made in Trellix DLP. There is nothing connected with AI at this time. I rate this product as ten points.
We are exclusively using Trellix DLP in our environment. Regarding integration capabilities, cloud integration with the on-premises solution should be implemented. Some cloud API features are not available in the on-premises solution, though they might be present in MVISION. Currently, there are no AI features or integrations in Trellix DLP. Regarding pricing, I am not aware of the costs as a different team handles that aspect. On a scale of 1-10, this solution receives a rating of 10.

I rate Trellix DLP a five out of ten overall. This is because while it has a strong management feature with ePO, it needs improvement in user impact, quick incident reporting, and network discovery performance.
My advice is to avoid using Mac OS as most security features do not work well with it. Have standardized operating systems and consistent security baselines. I rate Trellix DLP eight out of ten due to its comprehensive features and centralized management capabilities.
They should conduct more simulations. We have not been able to explore the dashboard fully, so it is important to familiarize ourselves with where DLP features are located and what steps to follow. Exposure and practice with the product and dashboard are necessary for effective learning. It helped them in terms of security, especially for their data. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
The tool's features I like the most in terms of data protection revolve around web uploads. Trellix DLP is a good product that fulfills all the requirements of our company. The product's sub-division parts are good and it has also got quite a lot of things inside the store for users. I rate the tool an eight out of ten.
There are three engineers to look after the solution's maintenance. If they have Linux, Mac, or Dell, they can't use it. It's very difficult for them to use this solution. Our organization uses other solutions instead of Trellix DLP because of compatible issues. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.
I recommend Trellix DLP Endpoint for all companies, but the on-premises installation of the server can be challenging. The technicality of installing servers on-premises is complex. Installing the solution externally is a concern for the customer's security. Nonetheless, I have installed the server for businesses of all sizes, from 100 to 1,500 employees. It is a very flexible system. However, if we are trying to provide a cloud-based solution, Trellix DLP Endpoint can also be installed on-premises for businesses with 10 to 50 employees. Overall, I rate it an eight out of ten.
