I am satisfied with vCenter Configuration Manager. Right now, we are not facing any issues with the tool. If we are facing any issues with the tool, we have raised a ticket with VMware's team. I am not familiar with the tool's AI capabilities. There are so many more options in the market. If any company mostly works on open-source products, I won't recommend the tool to such people. I rate the tool a seven to eight out of ten.

In our organization, we have operation managers who use the vCenter Configuration Manager for reporting purposes. I would overall rate vCenter Configuration Manager a seven out of ten. I will definitely recommend the solution to others.
I would use vCenter Configuration Manager for patch management across our company's virtual infrastructure by creating virtual machines for my workloads, VM servers, Linux, and to deal with other such related areas. A project or scenario where the solution improved the compliance part was related to the fact that it was meant for Oracle DB, and now our company uses it for SAP-based implementations. The most valuable aspect of the tool for maintaining the system security posture in our company stems from the fact that the virtualization offered by the product is very flexible. For any other products, the virtualization offered by vCenter Configuration Manager is flexible. I think it is a very good solution. With the tool, I haven't faced any issues or had to do any troubleshooting until now. The automation and configuration management tasks by the solution have impacted our company's team's productivity since automation is a very important issue for our organization. My company uses Dell VxRail, which is a very huge solution for us. My company uses VMware vSphere vMotion and some other features from VMware. Suppose the product is down or my company has to deal with some troubleshooting. In that case, we can transfer all our VMs to other nodes without thinking, especially since it can be done through automation and not by any human intervention. The scalability feature of the product is very good in supporting our company's growing IT environment since I haven't faced issues with the product, especially since I always get help from technical support, who responds right away to any problems attached to the solution. Once a ticket is opened with the technical support team, you get a response in six or seven minutes. If a tech support person is unable to handle an issue, then they try to find an experienced and professional IT person in-house to help the customer. I recommend the product to others who plan to use it since it is a good solution. There are many benefits to the use of the product since my company uses it in several environments. I rate the tool a ten out of ten.
The product provides very good visibility. With vCenter Configuration Manager, you can manage any kind of all these features of VMware vSAN, VMware vSphere Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and VMware vSphere HA along with hyper-converged systems. The product is also helpful in the VMware vSphere live migration area. Speaking about the product's ability to manage virtual environments, I feel that the migration from a physical to a virtual environment is a bit difficult. Virtual to virtual, live migrations, storage migrations, and the use of the snapshot in VMware vSphere replication are all great features of the tool. The product can be easily integrated with Windows Hyper-V. The product's automation capabilities benefit our company's daily operations since it supports Windows PowerShell Commands along with many other commands, including ESXCLI Commands. The product's patch management area is very simple to use. VMware vCenter Server 6.5, 7.0, and 8.0 are okay for patch management. I recommend the product to those who plan to use it. Nowadays, Hyper-V is implemented in most organizations since VMware is considered to be too old. I consider vCenter Configuration Manager to be one of the best options in the market. I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

We have used multiple tools. Once we receive requirements, a system image is generated from the most recent data using various tools. If it's a database server, appropriate properties are configured. Therefore, it encompasses all the necessary components for the database product. If the application is web-based, it might involve some Java-related components. For simpler applications, servers or their components are installed accordingly. We leverage multiple tools to automate our tasks. This diversity is beneficial, especially during compliance audits, as sometimes we require audit reports from vendors. The system supports those reports. There are no non-compliance issues. The solution is expensive, but it's a good and reliable one. I recommend the solution. Overall, I rate the solution a 9 out of 10.
Speaking about how the tool streamlines our company's integration compliance and patch management processes, I would say that my company uses the manual way to update patches. My company doesn't use vCenter Configuration Manager automation tasks to increase our team's efficiency. The toll is purely used for virtualization purposes, to run our company's servers, and as a source of appliance for the VM backup. I wouldn't recommend the solution to others since we live in a time period when everyone is moving from on-premises tools to cloud-based solutions. As a fully compliant tool, vCenter Configuration Manager has helped with compliance audits or remediation. If there is any patching my company needs to deal with, we always follow VMware's guidelines. My company has not integrated vCenter Configuration Manager with other VMware solutions. Nowadays, every organization has been moving to the cloud, which is either Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. I am not sure about VMware solutions for other people, but in our company's environment, once we migrate everything to the cloud, certain VMware products won't be needed anymore. I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.
I would recommend vCenter Configuration Manager to other users. While updating, users must check the drivers from the VMware compatibility matrix. Overall, I rate vCenter Configuration Manager a nine out of ten.
The basic maintenance processes related to vCenter Configuration Manager are taken care of by one of the in-house teams in our company. Getting some of the features of the solution up and running, at times, can become very cumbersome. Though the initial deployment is easy, when it comes to the process to get the solution's functionalities and features working, it can be tricky. In short, you need to have some fine knowledge of the solution to deploy some of its features, but there are a couple of places or blogs where you can get some information. I recommend the solution to those who plan to use it. It is a good product that remains stable. I rate the overall tool an eight out of ten.
Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. I would definitely recommend using this solution. It's crucial to ensure where the solution needs to be deployed and the number of virtual machines that require supervision. Comparing it with other market solutions is also essential to ensure it's the right fit.

I do not recall the exact version number we are using. I would rate the solution at a perfect ten out of ten. I've been very happy with its capabilities. I would recommend the solution to others. It's quite good.
For the data center, for a VM user or workflow, it's excellent software. If you want to use Nutanix or the SimpliVity it is good as well. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
We do work for government entities. We are not really a reseller. We just say, "This is what you need to build. This is what we advise you to build in." Eventually, whichever government organization we are working for is going to decide what they're going to take according to which country it is. I'm the Solutions Architect. For what is currently being used in our organization, I would rate it an eight out of ten. We're mostly happy with its capabilities.
I rate vCenter a ten out of ten and recommend it to anyone who is looking into implementing it. However, if you have less than 10 servers, you don't need to go for the vCenter, you can just use the Hyper-V. It depends on the company staff. Everything is going to the cloud, so I think this version 6.5 will be the last on-premises version.

On a scale from one to ten (where one is the worst and ten is the best), I would rate vCenter Configuration Manager as maybe an eight to nine-out-of-ten. To make it even better and to score a ten-of-ten, the ease-of-use and the flexibility of configuration could be improved. If it was easier to use and easier to implement and to set up, it will be closer to a ten.

We're a customer. We don't have a special relationship with the company. I would recommend System Center. We are going through a technological era where everything is done using technology, and security measures are important. With this solution, security is already in place. With this solution, a lot of the items are automated, including a lot of administrative work. You can minimize so many things, including security vulnerabilities, simply by using the solution. It's great. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten. They lose a few marks due to their general complexity, which takes a lot of time. Users need to take into consideration bandwidth and network usage when they set things up. While the solution does try to minimize resources, it takes a lot of time to get things where you need them to be. It's not straightforward. You'll need to go through many processes before you get there.

I would rate this solution quite highly but it loses a couple of points because of the complexity so I'll give it a seven out of 10.

I think before using this kind of software, most companies should train their administrators to ensure that the deployment is perfect. Also, maintenance would be easier if you train your engineers before using this kind of software. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate vCenter Configuration Manager a six. This is because compared to the other solutions such as Microsoft's StoreSafe or Studio Team System solutions or Ubuntu it is not as good. This software is specific for VMware products whereas the other software is more flexible.

In some cases, we require more from the solution than what is offered. We usually map these things into the Configuration Management tool so that they are taken care of or made available faster. I think this should be a part of the program so that those things could be reflected faster. On a scale from one to 10, I will rate the program between 8.5 to 9.5 because in India some of the medium-sized business enterprises are not having a flexible IT budget for a configuration management tool. They prefer that the system integrator should buy it from his own pocket.
You should definitely go for this solution. Without this type of tooling, you're not aware of how your environment is functioning. You don't know if you are over-committed, or if you need to downsize. You get more inside information, and that's always useful.
vCenter Configuration Manager is a powerful configuration management tool that is designed to enable organizations to ensure that any environment that they use to conduct business is configured in the most effective possible way. It can automate configurations consistently across virtual, physical, and cloud environments. Additionally, it enables users to place critical functions into the hands of the solution thereby avoiding the possibility that human error will reduce a business’s...
