Zabbix helps manage application performance by providing easy-to-manage job reports and configuring alerts for network issues. It reduces turnaround time for issue resolution by 70%-80%. Managers and support teams receive updates on interface status, leading to quicker escalation and resolution. Zabbix also generates reports and dashboards showing link availability and downtime records, facilitating customer reporting and making processes more efficient. The alerting and notification system in Zabbix is highly effective. It ensures that we are notified only when necessary, reducing unnecessary monitoring. Email alerts enable us to quickly respond to issues, even when away from the dashboard. This subscription system has significantly improved our response time to link failures. Before using Zabbix, ensure that your database setup is appropriate for your environment, especially for larger setups. Consider hosting your database separately for security and performance reasons. Utilize templates provided by Zabbix to simplify the setup process, as they can streamline infrastructure configuration. Overall, I would rate Zabbix as a nine out of ten. It is a great tool.
Overall, I would rate it an eight out of ten because I have experience with other good freeware options. It's a great product, especially considering it's freeware. If you don't want to invest in a commercial solution, I definitely recommend Zabbix.

Zabbix is a really good tool because it is an open-source tool. In the future, we might consider using products like NETSCOUT, capable of root cause analysis, which works at the pocket level and can give us some insights into our overall infrastructure. Overall, I rate Zabbix an eight out of ten.
This solution was used by 200 people in our company. I would rate this solution an eight, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.

I rate Zabbix eight out of 10. It's a good solution for everyone's needs. Maybe same users that we have, few users for the moment because we don't have a very big important network. I think that Centreon is better, but maybe easier than the subjects to use. This is maybe the best solution for small entities.

The solution is popular in any IT sector because it allows for any number of customizations. Since we are using the freeware version, we do not know of other key features or how to use them. It is not necessarily the solution, but maybe instead our lack of knowledge. Based on our use, the solution is rated a seven out of ten.

Zabbix is a powerful, stable and broad-reaching efficient software solution for monitoring infrastructure. It is relatively simple to use, but don't underestimate the need for skills to maintain its implementation and adapt to the constant changes IT environments demand.
The team is very technically orientated, so the documentation reflects that. Skills gaps, product knowledge grows if your staff invest some of their time to adhere to the Zabbix community. Answers to queries flow generously and quickly and after 15+ years out there, chances are there will be an answer already documented. That's been the case for us on some tough nuts to crack.
Companies such as ours, Nobius, can host it for you in AWS, Azure, GCP and others if you don't want or need to gain those skills or recruit but just want to consume the results it provides.
Its list of integrations, the number of templates covering generic and vendor-specific equipment and applications is very satisfying and constantly growing.Â
Nobius has been involved in IoT-based device monitoring for heating and ventilation, pumps, fans, access control and camera surveillance equipment. Its monitoring capabilities take it way beyond the more classical IT Infrastructure monitoring solution. In any case, the complexity of managing the health of service to the business means ALL resources and subscribed services that can impact the business should fall under the monitoring umbrella, and Zabbix can handle that easily.
We remember cases where a pair of fans having issues in a datacentre (that were NOT monitored) broke causing DB issues and bringing down internal services that served all businesses across the world. Tracing the issue took time as did restarting everything. Similarly when service subscriptions suddenly stop people from teleworking, correlating the Quality of service with all in-house IT resources and external service subscriptions is desirable to ascertain root cause but also to orchestrate mitigation and contingency to return the business to service as soon as possible. It might sound like an expensive solution, but Zabbix at the core removes a LOT of the cost of addressing such use cases.
The Zabbix team is well managed and does excellent work to inform its customers and partner and the industry on its capabilities, its issues, and its roadmap.
Its breadth of applicability is vast. It can be used for the smallest installation right through to many offices and sites worldwide and its H.A. robustness is improving all the time.
As for any IT Monitoring solution, the efficiency and reliability of data collection is all-important. We've been impressed by the strength yet small footprint of the agents, and of the way distributed monitoring performs using the proxies. With these, delegated intelligence frees the main server from a lot of the donkey work in large installations.
Judging on the numerous implementation testimonials by satisfied parties at their user conference, the diversity of techniques for data ingestion is largely sufficient At Nobius we have not heard of customers posting complaints about support, which is good.
Like any solution, it isn't perfect: Network packet or traffic analysis, Application performance/End User/Digital experience monitoring, Business service management, SLA contract management, analytics are limited or missing. So too are automated maps and other graphical improvements but these are often quickly solved using other well-integrated solutions such as Grafana. The team listens and is open to improvements and the current and regularly update roadmap includes a lot of these topics and more besides, and partnerships also extend to cover some of the above effectively too.
The capacity to reduce and remove costs is stunning. Which other solution can manage hundreds of thousands of objects possibly even millions at no cost to you but your time and limited set of resources to run it.
It is so rare to find such a stable, powerful software package like this free for use by anyone. We strongly recommend using it as long as your requirements are defined and its coverage can align with them. The minute you need AIOps (do you?), APM, application/ transaction tracing and de-bugging, service trees, CMDB, data analytics, and other features you might wander away to look at other software vendors' products. But in that case the cost of ownership will grow fast. There IS a trade-off between using free software and then having to integrate it with other products to satisfy your requirements. You'll need to factor in the cost to maintain that integration if it isn't out of the box.
I would not hesitate, Zabbix will perform the IT data collection and monitoring to cover all or most of your needs and at no ownership cost to you. It will generate very few issues provided you do invest in a certain degree of skills to reach aligned coverage, either in house or subcontracted.
DON'T forego Zabbix support though, it is your guarantee of its evolution, reliability and future.

I'd rate the solution a nine out of ten. The good thing is that it is easy to test. This is one of my favorite benefits and why I like open-source software. You can test it very well without signing contracts with enterprise vendors, for example. New users should put it on their laptop and try it out. It doesn't need much resources and you can discover your home network or your lab if you have something.
I really do not like this solution, almost all of its features are awful. I would rate it nine out of ten for on-premises environments but five out of ten for cloud platforms or BAS.

I'm a customer and an end-user. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. I'm not sure if I would recommend the solution. I really don't like it as it generates a lot of false information. That said, it is a good monitoring solution, for what it's worth.
H5 Network is a Zabbix integration partner providing NetFlow and NPM visibility for Zabbix.Â
Zabbix can be deployed and can start monitoring your IT assets in a few minutes. It comes with hundreds of templates providing visibility on most networking technologies on the market and scales up to tens of thousands of devices. The API we use for integration is one of the best-documented and stable we have ever seen and is also used to integrate many other solutions such as Grafana for enhanced Dataviz.
If a company wants to implement the solution, I suggest they go with the latest version. It is a stable version. Preferably they should use it with the database, and not the AWS database, as it doesn't give you time scaling. You have to install your own Postgre and you can apply the time scaling feature in that. That way, you can add your data competition to Zabbix. You have to do a lot of tuning on cache and view sizing. If your clients are on a remote site, you usually use proxies. Therefore, data will be sent to proxies, and then from proxies, it will be sent to the server. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten.

At this point, it is too early for me to recommend Zabbix one way or the other, as we have just scratched the surface of its capabilities. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
Because Zabbix is an open source solution, a lot of customization is required. In turn, a lot of information has to be provided by the client about exactly what they want, which parameters they want to monitor, and what the thresholds are. Proprietary solutions would already have those thresholds in place. Once this process is done, it's really very good for your organization. But it does take a lot of work.

I would absolutely recommend Zabbix to others. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Zabbix a rating of eight. Once I have more experience with it, maybe I'll give it a higher rating.
My advice is that the person who is responsible for implementing Zabbix in their environment should be familiar with Linux because then the process is more simple, efficient, and takes less time. I would rate Zabbix an eight out of ten.
We are a certified implementation partner for Zabbix. In our operations, we are the only certified implementation partners for Zabbix and just two months ago, we got certified for the Middle-East operations as well. When it comes to this region, we are the only certified implementation partners for Zabbix in the entire Middle-East. We are working with the latest version and it getting upgraded right now. We have two environments basically. We have a production as well as a development (or staging) environment. Presently, our upgrades are going onto the staging environment. We have a go ahead on the staging environment after that. We will start on the production as we have around 50 to 70 customers who are already on the Zabbix. Directly upgrading it on the production is a challenge for us. We don't want to get into a situation where the entire thing goes down. We plan to roll the updated version around February. Presently we have it on a hybrid module. With a primary running on the cloud and a secondary running on our data center, which is on-premise. This way, if the primary site goes down, we have a secondary site to support the customers. I'd recommend organizations try the solution, however, if they have issues, they should not just throw it out. The tool is capable. You just need implementation partners. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
This is a product I can recommend to others. Overall, I think that this is a great tool, although I need to spend more time with it to see exactly what the different features are, and how I can use it to implement my network better. There are a few glitches that need to be fixed, such as making the plugins easier to install. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.
I believe it's crucial to plan the implementation. Just because the software is free, you shouldn't just install it and let it run. Plan your implementation carefully and you'll get more out of it than you ever thought possible I would rate this solution a nine out of 10.
I would recommend Zabbix to people who want to monitor a simple network. I have found that the literature on the website is not very easy for some people. They want to be in those to read more about Zabbix about how to install it and the normal problems are. I would rate it a nine out of ten.

Speak to a Zabbix expert before you get started because there are so many options in terms of architecture for deployment that you really need to understand relating to how Zabbix can give you those options and why they're useful. Options might include encryption or distributed architecture, so delegating monitoring responsibilities close to the objects that have been managed using proxies is a good idea. There are choices to be made so if you don't know the product and you are speaking to someone who does, then listen, because they can advise you properly to get the best benefit out of the software. Zabbix is a free package, you're not paying for any licensed software; the expense of Zabbix over time is related to how it's deployed and used. If you don't deploy it right, then you'll spend more time fixing your mistakes than actually using the software. On a scale from one to ten, I would give Zabbix a rating of eight. I am not giving them a higher rating because they don't have analytics. They're getting there. They're becoming more and more proactive. They just added something which was very important called 'application performance monitoring'. From an enterprise perspective, they still lack the analytics capabilities, but that's not necessarily an issue unless you're looking to choose one tool that does everything.
I am also using this solution to help me with writing my master examination. I need to write something about this solution. I would recommend this product to anyone who is interested in using it. I would rate Zabbix an eight out of ten.

We're just a customer. We don't have a business relationship with Zabbix. I'd recommend the solution. It's easy to use and it's been quite useful. New users do have to be pretty comfortable with Linux, however, otherwise, they may have a hard time adapting to the system. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten overall.
I would recommend this solution to anyone interested in enterprise-level monitoring and integration. The only improvement I would suggest revolves around its AI and ML capabilities. Those are the only problems, at this point in time, that I see with this solution. If these issues are addressed and included in a future release, then this will be an end-to-end, fabulous product for monitoring and automation. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Zabbix a rating of nine, simply because the world is rapidly progressing toward an AI and ML environment. Whenever you check out a new product, from Moonsoft for example, most of the marketplace jargon revolves around AI. So, when we talk about AI, the customers are ready to just blindly buy the product without understanding if it is real AI and ML, truly capable of completing the task at hand. That's why we started using bots to automate steps; to show the customers that even Zabbix, as a solution, can be used for automation using bots. It's a tedious process, but it's a great method of comparison.

My advice for anybody who is implementing Zabbix is to seek the help of somebody who has actually done it before. Otherwise, it's not worth their time. Also, find somebody who can provide you with the templates that you need, or who's got familiarity with building them. It is a good solution if you have the time to build the templates and figure it all out. This requires knowledge of SNMP, as well as all of the devices. Then, you have to put it into XML and create a template that Zabbix can use. It is not a straightforward solution. The reason that I stopped using Zabbix and bought LogicMonitor is not that it didn't work well. Rather, I needed a solution that was complete, where I didn't have to do the development. I would rate this solution a four out of ten.

I'm not really a user. I deploy the solution. Overall, I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten.
Overall, this is a great tool and I recommend it. I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.
Overall, Zabbix is a great product. I have been using it for a year now, and I am very happy with it.
I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
We have only just started using this solution a couple of months ago, but we plan to continue using it in the future. I can recommend this product to others who are interested in using it. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
I would rate this solution a nine out of 10.
This is not a product that I recommend. Instead, I recommend using SolarWindows or ManageEngine for monitoring because there are more features on Zabbix with limited usability. Reports are also limited. Basically, you get more features in SolarWinds or ManageEngine. I would rate this solution a five out of ten.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give Zabbix a rating of nine, strictly because we would like to see better integration with mobile TeleCloud.
Overall, I think that Zabbix is an awesome tool and I would use it again, rather than another one. For us, Nagios was a disaster and Zabbix was the savior. We didn't require any functionality that it didn't already have. My only complaint is that the dashboard needs to be improved. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.
We're just a Zabbix user. We don't have a special relationship with the company. I would rate the solution three out of ten. I would rate it higher if there was better scalability potential and the performance was of a much higher quality.
If performance and scalability is important, use postgres with timescaleDB as database backend. This wins hands down compared to mysql.
I would rate this product a 7 out of 10. This is because it needs better flapping control and better infrastructure monitoring. Other products provide this already. I don't think I have much to say that isn't answered elsewhere. The product's benefit is that it is easy to get up and running.
When you learn how to work with it, you will love it. It is a complete network management system that will meet all your needs.
I would rate this solution as a 10 out of 10. It is the best product. I really love Zabbix because it has a lot of functions and works well. My advice is to use Zabbix. When selecting a vendor, the number of customers is very important along with the price.
Zabbix coupled with Grafana (there's a plugin for Zabbix, very easy to setup), is a great monitoring stack. Leveraging "Let's Encrypt for SSL" is also a must!
