Hello,
I'm working at a consulting company and I need to select an ERP product for a client.
I want to go with SAP HANA but the client is interested to get a comparison between SAP HANA and Oracle EBS before making any decision. Can anyone share the differences between them?
Thank you!
Hi
Please answer the questions below. Then I can have a better look at your question.
What are your
- Organization size (eg. 10,000 employees and users, or 10M$ USD Revenue Per Year)?
- Organization process that the client needs(eg. full purchasing process without HR Process)?
- Organization industry (eg. project-oriented (E, EPC, ...), Manufacturer, Sales)?
- Organization needs and priorities (eg. good UI/UX over best functionality)?
- Organization maturity level(eg. best practice process over "as-is" process)?
In general, both systems are ERP Tier1 and Best Practice and have advantages and disadvantages, but commonly
-SAP is used in very large industries, almost manufacturing industries and mature industries (customized level in SAP is low).
-Oracle EBS can be used in large and medium industries, organizations with a financial-based process (I mean the financial process is important over other processes), and organizations with non-standard needs (a customized level in EBS is High).
You must write an RFP for this comparision, e.g. you must check:
-The Enterprise budget for ERP
-The Enterprise license needs
-The Enterprise infrastructure and roadmap (I4.0, Cloud, Private Datacenter, ...),
-The Enterprise IT and supporting Team
and so on.
So, please do not select any system without checking these in detail. If you like, I can help you.
Best Regards
