It is expensive. If you opted for the MSP model, you will get premium support because you're already a premium customer to them. If you're not opted for the MSP model and are on a standard model, then it is a little costly. It depends upon the number of licenses you're procuring. Based on that, you might get a discount.

One of the main downsides to the solution is its cost. We pay a yearly licensing fee for the product. AppDynamics and Dynatrace have almost the same pricing. Compared to ManageEngine, AppDynamics is relatively higher in cost. For cloud-based solutions, users only pay for licenses if they opt for a subscription. However, for on-premises solutions, they must buy support separately.
AppDynamics Database Monitoring requires a license for database monitoring and other features, while Dynatrace provides monitoring and other features out of the box without additional costs. Sometimes this makes it more challenging to pitch AppDynamics Database Monitoring to customers, especially because you need to buy a separate license. As an implementer, I have yet to learn about the pricing for AppDynamics Database Monitoring. Pricing is taken care of by the sales team.
It could be a bit lower, but looking at the scalability, functionality, and other things, you can understand why AppDynamics is so expensive as compared to some of the cheaper products that don't have that full single pane of glass they've got. Dynatrace has got three different elements that you need to log into just to get a full view, which is not so good, and because of that, it is a bit cheaper.

The setup cost, pricing and licensing is different for every customer depending on how big they are and how many servers they are putting the product on. So I can not give a direct answer to that question. Really cost is based on the implementation.

Licensing for the solution is very complex. A different type of agent means a different type of license and subscription. Different languages, database types, and agents make a Dynamics license complex. They do offer great discounts when bundling other AppDynamics licenses. For example, if a customer needs some license for a database agent, they can also take a license for end-user monitoring. I think AppDynamics has good options for budgets.
More than half of application performance bottlenecks originate in the database, but most application teams have little or no visibility into database performance. With AppDynamics' database performance management product, you get 100% visibility into application performance, from the browser to the database.

The price is not cheap, however, considering the benefits and the price ratio, I would rate it nine out of ten.

The tool is expensive. If one is expensive and ten is low price, I rate the product price as seven out of ten.
We buy the platform's yearly subscription. I rate its pricing a six out of ten.
The price is okay.

The pricing is average. I give the price a five out of ten. The license is paid on an annual basis.

We have a license-based solution. That means you need a license for each server you monitor.
The license for AppDynamics is procured by our customers.
The licensing scheme is very complex. They need to make it easier.

There is an annual cost for the use of this solution.
I'm not in charge of licensing. I don't know what the costs associated with it would be.

The pricing is very good. You get good value, especially if you compare it to DynaTrace.

In terms of pricing, I feel that when you compare the benefits that we get to the price that we paid, it is reasonable.
Pricing isn't bad, in comparison to Dynatrace, which is much more expensive.
