The licensing policy of Cisco Wireless WAN is not satisfactory, similar to other vendors. Hardware prices have decreased. That said, licensing costs seem to compensate.

One challenge is that with Cisco Wireless WAN, we are talking about term-based licenses. If we compare it to Meraki solutions, also from Cisco, customers are hesitant to purchase separate licenses every year. They are obligated to renew term-based licenses. It would be better if the license cost was included in the device price. Since this is a recurring cost, some customers are not interested in devices that require yearly license updates. They prefer a plug-and-play solution where they pay for three years upfront and then only need to purchase warranty, not subscription licenses. This is especially challenging for customers with lower budgets.
It is quite an expensive solution, but I am positive it is the right choice for our institute. We have an EA for Meraki, so we pay for access once a year as part of our licensing arrangement.

We feel that Cisco is quite expensive, so we're looking for a reasonable alternative. We are considering Aruba and some other brands that are less expensive. Cisco works fine, but the issue is the annual licensing and support costs.
The licensing costs are a bit on the high side. I’d rate the solution a 3.5 out of five in terms of how expensive it is, with five being the most expensive. The licensing of Cisco is pretty high, especially in comparison to other options, such as Aruba.

I don't know the exact cost as I'm only on the technical side, but I do know this solution is very expensive. With one being the most expensive and five being affordable, I would give Cisco a two out of five. We have to pay for upgrades and for customer service.
Cisco's pricing is quite costly and should be cheaper for both licensing and hardware. A license for one access point costs around $500 for three years. There are also separate charges for smart networking and support.

The price of Cisco Wireless WAN could improve upon pricing, it is expensive. We purchased the hardware through a vendor that Cisco used and we received approximately 75 percent off. We are on a three-year license with Cisco Wireless WAN.
The pricing is good. It is neither on the high nor low side. I consider it to be moderate. While other vendors provide the same, I find this model to be reasonably priced.
