Price-wise, the tool is a little bit costly. If you are going for the short term, like one year or two years, the tool is very cost-effective. The only problem with Oracle is that the implementation cost is too high compared to the other products. The tool's licensing cost is almost the same as your other tools, but the implementation cost is high because implementing a full-fledged product for the client takes more than five to six months. For other products, the implementation can be done in one month or two months.
Oracle Identity Governance is an expensive solution. On a scale of one to ten, where one signifies a high price and ten signifies a low price, I would give this solution a rating of one.

The price of the implementation of Oracle Identity Governance is more of a concern than the cost of the solution. The effort that you have to do to put the solution in place is higher than the license cost.

We have purchased a perpetual license with Oracle and only pay yearly maintenance fees, support and updates. The solution is very expensive for the benefits received from the product, however, the pricing we received from other vendors does not make it worthwhile to switch to another solution. I would rate it a two out of five for pricing.

It could certainly be less expensive. There are a lot of components. Normal licensing is a real nightmare. Oracle should make things easier for the customer to understand.

The hardware and the operating system obviously cost money. With Oracle, you have the product itself and then you have the management product which might be expensive sometimes as well. As a customer, it's not okay that the salespeople sell you a product that they don't tell you all the ins and outs about and you are expected to manage it. You discover all of these things afterward if you don't ask the right questions.
Get the right product which you can customize as per your business needs. IAM is a journey and you cannot switch products after 2-3 years; hence consider strong roadmap of the product.
After purchasing the solution we only needed to pay for the implementation phase to build the connectors etc. and the annual standard licensing fee for support.

The cost of support and upgrading to the next release are both expensive. We have an annual maintenance contract.
