I would rate the pricing as a seven out of ten. It is on par with other enterprise solutions like Aruba or Arista. The pricing can be an obstacle for some businesses.

The price could be reduced a bit. The SKUs or part numbers come with a one-year support option and a five-year support option. Depending on the budget, the client can choose the one-year option. With one year of full support, clients receive immediate assistance if anything breaks. They can renew this support every year.
There are some constraints with the commercial leaders who are leading in India. It depends because, in some cases, Ruckus doesn't offer a price benefit to customers using their product. Customers have already purchased the product, and they're using it, but sometimes the pricing varies. It can be sold at one price at one time and then at a higher price at another time. This inconsistency can lead to confusion. There should be a price parity, and it should be consistent. This is something Ruckus lacks, especially in the Indian market. It's a global product, but in India, this control over pricing is not as strong. Sometimes they sell it for Rs.20,000, and other times, they sell it for Rs.30,000. Then, suddenly, they ask for Rs.70,000. There should be a tiered pricing structure based on the quantity. We understand that if you buy more, the price should be lower, and if you buy less, it may be higher.

I rate the product's price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive. Ruckus Wireless WAN price is quite high, but if you want a very good product, then it will be pricey.
There is licensing involved. For on-premises, it's a one-time purchase, albeit relatively expensive. You only need to pay for license management. There are no additional costs.
The product comes with a yearly subscription. In general, it is a packaged solution with analytics, support, and a cloud license. The pricing is acceptable for licensing the cloud for a bundle.
Pricing is quite high. Support is not that good as well. Pricing should reduce. It's around 35,000 rupees. In US dollars, that would be about 500 to 600 dollars. That's per device. So for each device, the cost would be around 500 to 600 dollars.

Compared with Cisco Wireless WAN, the pricing for Ruckus Wireless WAN is two out of five. Ruckus Wireless WAN is twice the price of Cisco Wireless WAN.

The licensing has different versions. Licenses are perpetual, you have to only buy one. However, they have support costs that are charged yearly for three years or five years. You have to buy the support for the license. If you compare it to a similar kind of solution, the pricing is very competitive.
The solution is very competitively priced. We've always been able to get better pricing for our customers on Ruckus compared to Aerohive from Extreme Networks. We also work with Cisco Meraki, and the pricing is similar, especially the running costs, but the support costs are a bit lower. I think it's interesting that analytics portfolio reporting is included with Extreme, but we have to pay extra for it with Ruckus. I would say the pricing has always been good, but there is one thing I need to mention. Earlier this year, Ruckus announced that anything that had not been delivered by the middle of May, even if it was ordered last year, would have the prices raised backwards. We had huge switch deliveries, still outstanding, where Ruckus had told us at the end of last year, "Order now so you can secure the price and we can deliver in six months." They didn't deliver in six months, but they raised the price. That was not very popular. We had to go back to customers and say, "Sorry, this is the situation." We were able to solve it all, but it wasn't very popular. I think it was a major mistake by them because when everyone else was raising prices last year, they didn't, so they gambled on the wrong side and thought they could stand out, but then realized they couldn't. If we're talking about the pricing itself and not the politics around it, I would rate the price as a four out of five.
We pay maybe a couple thousand pounds a year for support across our sites. Then, on average, an implementation at one of our high schools will be a one-time payment of about 25,000 to 30,000 pounds for a standard high school. There is a change in the licensing model a little bit now, because we have to pay annually for the cloud licenses, so I think it'll be about 5,000 pounds a year moving forwards.
The price of Ruckus Wireless WAN is in the middle price range compared to competitors. You will find Cisco is the most expensive, the second is HPE and Aruba, and the third is Ruckus Wireless WAN. You then have all the follower solutions. The price of the solution can vary substantially. If you have the simplest access point, such as the model R350, or if you have a very advanced installation based in crowded areas with model R850, the pricing is very different.
We pay a licensing fee on a yearly basis. It's for the support, what we’re paying for. It’s moderately priced. I’d rate it 2.5 out of five in terms of affordability. There are no additional costs involved.

In terms of the license of Ruckus Wireless WAN being cheap or expensive, it would differ based on your country. As I'm living in Turkey, it's expensive, so far. There is a big challenge about the chip crisis or the silicon crisis lately, and all vendors are fighting, so not enough equipment could be sold and the vendors must earn money, so it's very fair for vendors to push software and licensing to keep working and earning, so it's hard to answer a question on how cheap or expensive the license is for the solution.

Licensing for Ruckus Wireless WAN when you compare it to other vendors, it's on par and not expensive. For me, all licensing is expensive by default, but you do get lifelong licenses, and what's cool about it is the license for Ruckus Wireless WAN, especially on the LAN controller, is not linked to an access point. It's just a quantity access point deployment, so you can rip out old APs, and put new ones in and they'll work on the wireless LAN because the license is not linked to a specific access point which is much easier to work with.
The pricing, when compared to Ubiquiti, isn't competitive enough. If you want to have a Government or Public sector client they will ask why they should pay 200 euros if they can get something for 40 euros.
The solution is a little pricey, so customers sometimes select other products because of the price. They have other cheaper models, but compared to other cheaper solutions it is not the best.

It is less expensive than Aruba and Cisco.
You have to pay for the controller with Ruckus, whereas with Ubiquiti, it comes for free.
The cost of licensing varies. It is determined by the discounts offered.

There is a license required for this solution. Here in India, Ruckus is chosen often because it is priced low.
Ruckus has a wide family of Wi-Fi equipment. It is important to understand the needs and what is the correct model of equipment that covers them.
It's expensive but you get more coverage.

I don't know about the price because I'm a technical person. I'm not in sales so I don't know how it's priced.
This is a wonderful product for the price.
This solution offers a yearly subscription. The price is not high and other solutions are much higher than Ruckus.
