SAP HANA Cloud can be quite costly compared to other solutions. The high licensing costs make it an expensive option, particularly for smaller customers. However, they offer solutions for mid-sized industries and subscription-based licenses to manage costs better.
Considering my company's environment, we have opted for a subscription-based licensing model, making monthly payments for our virtual machine and yearly payments towards the product's licensing costs. The product is a little bit on the expensive side. I rate the product's price a five out of ten.
SAP may not be the most cost-effective option, but it does offer a comprehensive set of tools and features. When you have the right information, structure, and dashboard in place, it can provide excellent value. Additionally, competition with Oracle might be a factor to consider.

It's very, very expensive. When comparing it to other hyperscalers, the pricing for SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud is significantly higher. It's not cost-effective.

The solution's cost is reasonable. It depends on the scope of the project. Apart from the standard licenses, there are additional costs for hiring external resources to manage it when a project requires specific skill sets. I rate its pricing a seven.
The product itself is relatively expensive. It is an apt solution for large companies with global operations that have over 10,000 employees. In comparison, it is far too expensive for a small company with 50-100 or even lesser employees. It's the most feature-rich, which is also one reason it is the most expensive.
The pricing is reasonable when compared to other vendors like Oracle who offer technology enterprise resource software. Our sales team knows the rates, how to apply discounts, and how to onboard customers.
The price is high compared to other databases, which is why HANA is still not widely used. Some enterprises prefer Sybase, Oracle, or other traditional databases because HANA is a little pricey. Cost is one factor SAP needs to work on to make it more competitive with other databases. Otherwise, they'll never be able to develop a mass customer base.

The licensing of the solution is on a yearly basis. The normal price of the solution is quite high, but I received a special discount by making a purchase near the end of the year.

The licensing fees for this product depend on what you pick. If you choose the minimum, it will probably cost around $1,500 USD per month if you take a contract for a year or two, it will go down If you buy in bulk, there will be a larger discount.

It's a bit expensive compared to lead other platforms because the support is directly from SAP. The solution offers yearly contracts as well as three and five-year contracts that are a little bit less expensive. Technical support is included in the pricing. There are, however, integrations and third-party tools that need to be taken into the cloud and the solution charges extra for those.

There are licensing fees, but no ancillary costs on top of that. Users won't have to pay extra, for example, for support. They have contracts for three and five years. They do, however, charge extra for integrations.

SAP installs the system so you don't need to go and get your license, install and patching and all those things. It is very good from that perspective. You have to think of the responsibility role and the responsibility matrix and see if you want to negotiate for those additionally. It will be included in your contract. It is also better to negotiate some services initially then you don't need to think about setup and things like that.
