TIBCO BusinessWorks is a very expensive solution. Four years ago, we purchased four products with a two-course for 20 million dollars. This is a perpetual license.
TIBCO licensing is yearly and very costly for a company like ours. There are no extra costs involved. We have an issue at the moment with upgrading. We wanted an upgrade and to do a clean install on another environment and get rid of the old environment afterward. But to do that, there's an overlap between the two systems, so TIBCO wants us to buy extra licensing to change environments, which is unfair to me.

Our organization has a three-year enterprise license agreement with TIBCO. The license is really costly. I give the cost of the solution a four out of ten.

The solution is too expensive. It's one of the most expensive solutions out there, particularly because there are so many open-source competitors on the market. I don't know the exact numbers, however.

I think BusinessWorks is more expensive compared to other products. We have the ELA, so at least we have some sort of bargain or discount with that. But for a start-up, it's very expensive compared to other ESBs. This solution is more suited for large enterprises. For someone who's just starting up without enough CapEx or OpEx, it's going to be a bit expensive.
Its price policy has changed quite a lot in the last two years. It was extremely expensive previously. Nowadays, you can buy a license for BusinessWorks for €2000. Looking at what you get in return in terms of support, TIBCO community, and stability, it is fairly reasonable. It is not too expensive.

It is a bit expensive for medium-sized companies. If you are migrating from the current version to the container-supported version, it is quite expensive. The existing licensing will not work because the product platform itself is different.
TIBCO BusinessWorks allows to connect applications, whether on-premises or in the cloud, providing proven reliability and scalability, out-of-the-box. With a drag-and-drop graphical development environment, TIBCO BusinessWorks eliminates the pain and cost of point-to-point application integration, connecting and unifying business processes across applications, data sources, and APIs, with access to real-time data across all your platforms.

The license is expensive and I would rate it one out of ten.
The product is not cheap. However, the pricing is reasonable.

I would rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten.
The payments made for service are the only addition to the standard licensing fees that we pay for the solution.
BusinessWorks is competitively priced. It's a good deal.
The license is based on the subscription model. The cost depends on the components required.

The licensing is very rigid - it's perpetual licensing, which doesn't really support good scalability.

Our license is paid annually.

My understanding is that the licensing is very costly.
There are no additional costs to the standard licensing.
So far there have not been any other costs besides the standard licensing fees.
Users are only charged a yearly maintenance cost. I'm not sure of the exact amount, but I know it's quite expensive as a solution.
