Our organization ran comparison tests to determine whether TIBCO BusinessWorks or Mule Anypoint platform integration and connectivity software was the better fit for us. We decided to go with Mule Anypoint Platform. This solution’s graphic interface was designed with users in mind. The GI is very easy to follow visually. Everything is laid out in such a way that users can easily read and understand the statistics and feedback that the system collects. Instead of having to search for the data that the program collects, it is available in one place. This will save both time and resources. A single user will be able to find and interpret the data without needing a deep technical background. An organization that uses Mule Anypoint Platform will find that their monitoring capabilities have greatly improved.
TIBCO BusinessWorks’s graphical interface lacks the simplicity of Mule Anypoint Platform. As opposed to the single interface screen that Mule Anypoint Platform offers, TIBCO BusinessWorks takes a more old-school approach. While it does gather data, it does not gather it in a single location. Time will then have to be spent looking for the particular pieces of data that are needed. This requirement will slow down a business's monitoring capabilities and prevent them from working at maximum efficiency.
Mule Anypoint Platform also offers users two different options as far as the configuration of their system environments. It has what those who are looking to create their own technical environments seek. Mule Anypoint Platform environments can be easily customized. This makes it capable of a high level of flexibility. However, there may be those who want to save time and have no interest in having to create environments from scratch. Mule Anypoint Platform addresses this as well. There are built-in environments that can be deployed without requiring users to create anything new. All that users need to do is to start running the program.
TIBCO BusinessWorks offers users the ability to build their own technical environments. Users can create custom palettes to meet whatever needs their business might have. However, should an organization want to save time by employing ready-to-use, built-in palettes, they are out of luck. There is a level of configuration required before you can use the program.
Conclusion:
While TIBCO BusinessWorks is a fairly competent product, we found Mule Anypoint Platform to be superior. Mule Anypoint Platform’s graphical interface and dual environmental options make it the more robust program.
