I feel Mule Anypoint Platform's price is more than fair. First, you can get a good glimpse of the solution and its capabilities for a whole month, as the company provides you with a free trial. You can determine if you really need this product and whether it serves its purpose for your organization. That alone, in my experience, is worth any sum, since quality is always a priority for us. However, if you decide to pay, you will be given a personalized offer. This means that my company may pay less or more than yours - it all depends on what you decide to pay for, as the product offers payment per service. This is the fairest pricing model for me, as I do not have to pay for anything I’m not actually using.
With Mule Anypoint Platform, you pay for the features and technical support that you require. There are three different plans:
Gold - core features
Advanced - advanced features
Titanium - all features
The three plans come with different levels of support as well. In my case, this serves me well and I like paying just for what I’m using. However, it may be not as fairly priced for beginners who want more support but can afford fewer features. At least you can pay for add-ons, so that is good. My advice would be for experts to pay for this product, as it makes sense and will be used, and for beginners to maybe try a solution with licensing for the whole product, as they need time to get to know it and a free trial may not be enough for them.
