My relationship with CloudIQ is because I was selling Dell products. I needed to understand it to explain to customers why they need to use that. CloudIQ provides one single pane of glass to have an overall dashboard of the entire platform and infrastructure. It's an application that you can see on your smartphone or even on a website. You need access to the entire infrastructure for monitoring your system, and CloudIQ helps understand the health of your environment, about capacities, and potential future needs, like capacity planning.
Dell EMC's storage came with a proprietary solution. I deployed it in-house with Dell CloudIQ and integrated it with the EMC ESRS. Through that, we indirectly reached the cloud solution of IQ. We use this solution to integrate virtual infrastructure, and there are many use cases in the vCenter servers, hypervisors, analytics storage, storage utilization, and reclaimable storage. We primarily use Dell CloudIQ for monitoring and analytical problem identifications.
