My main use cases for Oracle Access Manager involve using it as an authentication server integrated with Oracle Internet Directory as LDAP, which contains the user store for authentication. We have implemented single sign-on through Oracle Access Manager by using session cookies, which significantly contributes to the user experience and access control for our customers.
We are using Oracle Access Manager and ForgeRock in different projects. We are using both. It is basically used to implement Single Sign-On or Multi-Factor Authentication to prevent access from different types of users such as organization users and contractual users. Based on their segregations, we determine how many levels of authentication need to be implemented through MFA, or if we implement SSO for both users. It has adaptive capabilities. You can use behavioral controls to restrict users from certain periods or regions. This falls under behavioral controls, but Adaptive Behavior uses different terminologies in Access Management. It changes from product to product, but the functionality remains the same.
I have primarily worked with Oracle Access Manager ( /products/oracle-access-manager-reviews ) and OCI ( /products/netapp-oncommand-insight-reviews ) IAM ( /products/anaqua-iam-reviews ). Most of my projects involve supporting these products, as there are very few projects focused on Identity Management ( /categories/identity-management-im ). We mainly provide support, rather than new implementations or upgrades. I have been involved in client upgrades, migrations, and ongoing projects.
Our primary use case involves managing internal applications and providing end-to-end support based on Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication. We handle authentication and authorization by allowing access users to log in with credentials and authenticate against our systems. We support a wide range of internal applications with a focus on secure access.

We primarily use the solution for accessing other applications, meaning it gives a single sign-on and multifactor authentication. That is the main use case. I use it with Oracle Identity Governance. I use it if I need to request permissions for certain business applications.

We are Integrators. We implement and integrate this product for our clients, as well as provide support to our client who is using this solution. Mainly, we are using it to provide access to two different systems that the client has. It determines the access levels of people. It tells you who needs how much access and then managing it through that.

The reason why we started using the product was that it was used by one of our customers. The customer called us to help protect access to their online banking website. Oracle Access Manager handles the login process for them so that the bank's customers can get access to their online bank accounts.

We have multiple applications that require logins. If when a user is signing on for the first time, they can go to the Oracle Asset Manager's main page where they will need to provide a user ID and password. Then, the corresponding user ID and password would be there and the user's page will be sent a token. If they need to log into other applications, the registry token will be used and the user won't need to log in at that time. So by doing that, we are providing a secure and simple user experience.

The product is our solution for SSO (Secure Sign On). The solution allows users to sign in to one application, for example, Windows, and they will have access to other applications that require login without having to log in each time.
