What is your primary use case for Veritas Backup Exec?

Our primary use case for the product is managing backups for our centralized data center and distributed storage systems.

Our company is a construction company. We use the Veritas solution for our own company's work. We schedule full server backups daily, biweekly, and monthly for our data from different locations. We have some projects, and we schedule backups to our head office. So far, the solution has worked perfectly.

We use the backup solution.

I use the solution for a complete backup of the infrastructure on tape. I have one tape drive which is connected to our server. We have a limited use case.

It's very easy to administer so the IT team doesn't need a dedicated backup administrator. An IT admin can manage the backups. It's easy to deploy and doesn't require a lot of resources on the client machine. So the customer doesn't need to purchase high-performance servers or enterprise-level solutions. This reduces costs for the client in terms of hardware and IT management resources. It also integrates with virtual machines and environments, allowing customers to back up their databases and applications.

We use the product for data backup purposes.

I am using Veritas Backup Exec for backups of Oracle, VMs, and Nutanix.

The solution is integrated with the Exchange, so it's an online backup.

We have two use case types. We do onsite and offsite. Onsite, we need some conversion and backups. Offsite, for example, similar to Symantec, it is based on the volume, and we sell this solution to clients.

We have about 500 devices, so we want to make sure they are backed up online and protected from attack. Another use case is to back up a client's SharePoint platform. It's SharePoint 2019 SQL. We use Backup Exec to back up that application and the server and restore after a disaster.

We deploy Veritas Backup Exec for customers where they have a production site with between 10 terabytes and up to 50 terabytes of data where they then backup the data to their local storage and then replicate it to their site or to the cloud.

We use Backup Exec to back up our virtual machines.

We primarily use Veritas Backup Exec for backup.

The solution is good for small and medium-sized businesses. It's easy to manage and deploy. It works in many environment, such as Microsoft Windows. It is friendly and can be easily deployed to all servers.

We use this solution to backup MS SQL databases, backup NAS servers, backup virtual machines, and directly backup clients ( on windows servers).

Our company uses the solution to provide virtual and physical backups for our clients. Most of our clients are small businesses and our team of five engineers capably manages their projects.

Veritas Backup Exec is used to backup data. We backup databases, FLAC files, and Exchange databases.

It is for backup and business continuity. You have a technology in there that allows you to start virtual machines on the backup set of data, which is really cool stuff. It also allows you to have an image of your environment. You can drop an image onto a virtual machine and just spin that environment up. It supports cloud and on-prem deployments. If you have the infrastructure in the cloud, you can deploy it there. If you want an on-prem solution, that also works. The cloud provider is usually Amazon, but it doesn't really matter.

We use this solution for data backup on premises, for data servers and file servers.

The solution is primarily used for the usual database backups, virtual machine backups, and file backups.

We have 200 users working with this solution. Our primary use case of Veritas Backup is to backup, at a fine level, our Windows-based, small SMB level clients.

Veritas Backup Exec is used for backups and disaster recovery.

The solution was primarily meant to be used for securing data.

We have been deploying this solution for our customers. They use it for the backup of their physical and virtual servers. We are using its latest version. We recently renewed it for a customer.

I do not know which version we are currently using, as I am a sales manager and, consequently, cannot expand too much on the solution's technical aspects.

We use Veritas Backup Exec mainly to backup virtual machines (about 120), and also Exchange mailboxes (about 1500).

Veritas is used for standalone servers. such as physical servers We also use it for backups.

It's great for the kind of customer who doesn't have a dedicated database environment. They only use it for file folders or a NAS system backup, or a few files or folder-level backups for the system.

We use the solution for the backup capabilities of our whole system, including our applications. We don't use it as a VM backup, however. We're able to handle daily backups of everything and we tend to back up quite regularly.

We use Veritas for incremental backups for all the servers. It is an automated process. Lately, we have taken advantage of the full backup facilities provided by the product.
