It's a vital tool for us when diagnosing performance issues, and recommending upgrades or downsizing, especially regarding CPU, memory, or storage latencies across our infrastructure.
I primarily utilize VMware Aria Operations for Logs for analyzing the performance metrics of my infrastructure, especially focusing on performance enhancements. Recently, I've integrated some Cisco hardware with VMware API Operations to extract and analyze relevant metrics. My main goal is to optimize the performance of my infrastructure.
The solution is used for troubleshooting in our application. Since we have a lot of components like email components and third-party components, the solution helps in managing the logs, and it helps in correlating the logs between products and in finding the problem in our infrastructure. We also use the solution if we want to debug something or if something is not working as expected, and it verifies everything. Also if there is any question about the infrastructure not resuming.
We use Log Insight when a log has been rotated in another product and we can't find it or when we need to locate incidents in the log. It has a log history going back to about six months ago. This is customizable, even on the environment side. Log Insight is used by 10 people on the operations team.

I primarily use the solution for a basic login switch. It's a centralized login server for us. When we have some incident or some log that we want to query, instead of querying directly to its server we analyze the logs and create our own specific queries.

The primary use case for this solution is virtualization. Instead of getting additional hardware devices, we can add different compartments of storage in one hardware device. You don't have to get extra hardware devices, you just need one hardware device with different compartments, so you can save different tasks on different compartments in a secure server. That is the purpose of VMware on our server, and what works for multiple storage systems in a hardware device. That is what this solution is meant to do.
