My primary use case for this solution was managing endpoint security within our organization. I initially deployed it on-premises but later transitioned to the cloud to enhance scalability and accessibility.
We use ZoneAlarm for the end user's mobile devices. We try to implement the solution across the enterprise because several mobile users are looking to work from many devices.
We wanted a solution that would allow us to detect viruses, malware, spyware, or phishing to keep our data safe. We needed something that had the ability to detect, analyze, and validate each of these types of attacks while generating network access control to restrict access to certain parts of the network based on the type of attack. We also had internal policies and regulations that we had to comply with and we wanted to have traffic monitoring that could both detect any suspicious activity and give us general visibility of what was happening within our grid.
The organization needed to establish a high level of protection based on first-generation and last-generation technologies according to the demand of the different providers. We came to the conclusion that we need protection that complies with solutions and standards that allow us to establish security based on products that are easy, quick to install, and simple to configure, thus being one of the solutions that we have been looking for in the market.
At the store level, we needed to provide a robust security solution for small businesses, where users could be confident that their equipment is under the best security on the market. We needed a solution that was easy to implement and not invasive, in addition to being able to generate anti-malware and ransomware protection. For a long time, our country has been a target which is why it is important that the equipment has protection and security which is not provided by a simple antivirus.
Six months ago it was decided to include a new tool in the security part of it since some users bring their own device or sometimes work from their personal device. For this reason, we started using Zonealarm for two months, however, some functionalities did not work. We decided to acquire Extreme Security since it comes with all the features and it caught our attention since we could extend its use to more employees with different operating systems. During these six months, it has provided us with excellent security solutions and thus controlling the security of each device that enters the company.

In our company, we seek to control the security of the mobile devices of the users who connect to the company on occasions with said devices, for which, thanks to our partner, they told us about the possibility of using zone alarm to protect ourselves against malware, viruses, and web filtering to avoid attacks, all in order to avoid vulnerabilities at the edge of our perimeter. Some users also use company mobiles and it was important to protect them, which is why we chose to use this technology and it has really been of great use and great value.
We are using ZoneAlarm Antivirus + Firewall for our employees who have BYOD devices. It is implemented at our one small branch office, where we do not want to purchase it because this is a temporary location. This is a free version that lets us protect our users with CheckPoint security. ZoneAlarm provides us with very good security and we are using both of the modules. This includes antivirus as well as firewall features, and it is very easy and stable for us. We are doing regular scanning of our employees' BYOD devices and it's updated regularly.
We use ZoneAlarm Antivirus with Firewall software for protecting the Bring-Your-Own-Devices that our employees take to the offices, and for a limited number of teams only since it is not an approved corporative standard software yet. In total, there are about 150 laptops of different kinds with several generations of the Windows operating systems running ZoneAlarm. Currently, we use the Free version of Zone Alarm and not the Extreme Security edition. As for the free solution, ZoneAlarm provides good security capabilities. We use both Firewall and Antivirus, with regular scans and updates scheduled.
ZoneAlarm protects you by preventing hackers from remotely accessing and controlling your device, and lets you know which apps have excessive permissions so you can decide whether they threaten your privacy.
The focus of ZoneAlarm is to protect devices like PCs, mobiles, and tablets against malware, phishing, and zero-day threats. It’s a good DoS solution.
