I would like to see Odoo provide specific solutions dedicated to mid-sized and large enterprises. Having multiple versions tailored to certain sectors would greatly benefit us. Also, there is a lack of resources for specialized Odoo professionals.
They could thoroughly study the market dynamics of different regions and connecting areas. Although businesses recognize the value of ERPs and are willing to invest, the challenge lies in bridging the understanding gap between technology and business analytics. Odoo could address this particular area.
It's too early to make a definitive statement about Odoo as we are currently in the implementation stages. Once the implementation is complete and the system is up and running, we'll be able to provide feedback on its effectiveness and suitability for our needs. The implementation is very straightforward, and the system is easy to operate, similar to working with a spreadsheet. If there's one thing that could significantly enhance the system, it would be incorporating more AI capabilities.

There is room for improvement in Odoo, especially in enhancing its reporting capabilities. More robust and versatile reporting options would make the system even more efficient and user-friendly.

Odoo’s asset management, supply chain, and advanced manufacturing should be improved. We need to customize the budgeting every time. Many companies need budgeting modules, and Odoo doesn't provide a powerful budgeting module. So we ended up creating the asset management, the budgeting, and the other adjustment for supply chains and advanced manufacturing. A new budgeting feature is necessary because it can span across different industries. On the other hand, the most valuable thing Odoo can do is pay more attention to its partnership and everything that follows, considering the tough competition. Unlike the other system we also use, we must compete with other Odoo vendors. There is one system principal we've been partnering with aside from Odoo that is very keen on maintaining good relationships with their implementation partners and locking clients into one particular partner. If the other partner has the solution, collaboration occurs rather than competition. I think Odoo should head towards that direction.

There is room for improvement in Odoo's technical support. Other than that, there's always room for improvement because the developers are always complaining about something, as is the user community. I personally don't have anything that I can think of, but there's a lot of feedback in the community. They're very vocal. They have an annual conference in Belgium where developers give feedback directly to Odoo. That's a cool thing about Odoo. Unlike other solutions like Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, NetSuite, etc., Odoo has a developer community that is actually using it and is closely tied to the company. There's a strong feedback loop between the developers using it in companies and Odoo corporate, which wants to improve the features. So it has a faster iteration compared to competitors like NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
So some of the things we are struggling with are privacy and dividing rules, data access between people, the hierarchy of people, and things like that. Moreover, the performance can be slightly improved for the customization interface.
The solution lacks local API support. Also, it lacks some database integration platforms. In short, it lacks an API integration platform. Also, we have a very strong Bitnami platform, and we need integration with Odoo. In the future, I would like Oddo to consider an omnichannel API integration with Bitnami's local platform.
It has been difficult to adapt to continuous changes, you have to understand what is new and what is changing in less than twelve months. You can take advantage of the new features, but you have to research them to be able to implement them. I will recommend keeping a version for two or three years, releasing minor changes, and then launching a new version with all the features. The release duration should be a little bit longer. The development teams should adapt quickly to these continuous changes.
Odoo cannot be scaled beyond the scope. If you want to go deeply, you have to be confident enough to do some development on it, and it will take much more time to deliver the project. The authorization management needs to be improved.
The human resources portion could be improved. They could add more features and details regarding the business details and some extra modules for business features. This will enhance or add more users.
Odoo is a suite of open source business apps that cover all your company needs: CRM, eCommerce, accounting, inventory, point of sale, project management, etc. Odoo's unique value proposition is to be at the same time very easy to use and fully integrated.

The sales model is not the best, and it lacks certain features.
For the drawbacks, we would need specialized people to work on Odoo. It's not only about customization, we need specialized people to make changes.
The tool needs to improve its scalability.

The reporting and the interface could definitely be better. Also, improved integration with other systems would be a huge benefit.

The import of terms and conditions needs more handwork.
Odoo could improve its newsletters and social media campaign features, which currently feel a bit weak. The JSon RPC API seems a bit outdated.
