In terms of improvement, Perimeter 81 could enhance its reporting and analytics capabilities to provide more detailed insights into network activity. Additionally, expanding integration options with a broader range of third-party tools would be beneficial for seamless compatibility with various existing systems. As for additional features in the next release, it would be great to see advanced threat detection and response capabilities integrated into the platform. This would further enhance security by proactively identifying and mitigating potential threats. Additionally, improved mobile device management features and more comprehensive user behavior analytics would be valuable additions to meet evolving cybersecurity needs.
While Perimeter 81 has proven to be an invaluable asset, there's always room for improvement. A focus on catering to non-tech users even further would be beneficial. Offering in-app explanations detailing what each feature does, its benefits and potential use cases can help users better understand and utilize the tool to its full potential. Moreover, integrating interactive tutorials or walkthroughs for new features in future releases could provide users with hands-on guidance, further simplifying their experience.
There are a few areas where the solution could be improved. For instance, we sometimes encounter connectivity issues, which can be problematic. Recently, I experienced a connectivity issue while trying to move to Azure. Connectivity issues can be quite frustrating. Moreover, in the past, they may have charged differently for their services, which could have impacted the current performance or connectivity. However, I am not entirely sure about the specifics of their previous service offerings. But overall, connectivity issues are a common occurrence when using VPNs.
The solution's speed of upload and download is an area where it lacks. If Perimeter 81 enhances the speed of upload and download, then it could be an improvement.
A Google Chrome extension would be handy instead of logging into the app. That way, it's pre-signed in and ready to go while browsing. While the app connects as we log in, it would be helpful to be able to stay signed in and have an automatic connection while browsing. The connection may be faster and stronger that way as well. A VPN Extention through the web browser would be a great asset to web users and companies. With a one-time login, we can have access and not worry about reconnecting to the VPN. I'm looking forward to seeing this feature.
One of our challenges is ensuring the security of our cloud-based operations. We place a high priority on security and take measures to protect our data. We avoid using public cloud services and instead rely on data centers to collect data for both small and large branches. In the next release, I would like to see more improvement in security capabilities.

One of the more negative experiences using Perimeter 81 is the fact that I am logged off after a pre-determined amount of time which cuts off access to some of my company's resources. It's probably a configuration thing on our end, yet frustrating nonetheless. If there was a way to have quicker access to the Perimeter login page, that would probably be of great assistance when re-logging into the VPN. For instance, if the pop-up for Perimeter 81 allowed me to log in from there, that would probably streamline the process.

The platform still lacks relevant dashboards and the ability to customize them based on our needs. We would love to also see real-time usage and traffic data as well as be able to build reports. Adding better QoS and traffic shaping to the product will be a nice add-on as it'll allow our admins to prioritize some traffic over others and identify users that are heavy traffic users in the platform. We need the ability to connect the agent prior to computer login. The ability to allow a silent connection (i.e. the agent is completely invisible to the user) could be cool for bigger organizations.
Overall the product is very efficient. However, personally, there is something that I dislike. I have found that the log-in/out process takes quite some time. I usually click on the app, and it asks me to login in through the web, and then after I log in it takes me back to the app. It seems to me that I should be able to log out without having to leave the app. I do like that it connects automatically/logs in as soon as I sign on. I am not sure why login in is easier than logout.
I am very satisfied with the product right now. I don't know if it is technically feasible, however, if the Desktop App could be used as a Web App or a Chrome Extension it would be very nice. It would help a lot if I could click a link with the right-click and select from a range of options like: "Open a with VPN: Network main" and that tab would open with VPN activated only on that. And then I could refresh the tab with the VPN on or off. When I access a URL, the Extension could have an option like: "Reload current tab with VPN".
I am struggling to find improvements in particular that would benefit users. What would be useful would be a notification/warning that a session is due to timeout after exceeding the default connection limit. This can help me prepare for imminent disconnection due to my existing organizational connection limit. However, that being said, it could be a setting somewhere but I thought I'd add this as a point anyway. In terms of constructive feedback, I can't find any other improvements or suggestions from an end-user point of view.
I don't think that this service can be improved. Speed and privacy could always be improved, however, the current product doesn't lack these criteria. I also think that the overall UI could be improved and updated to bring a simpler feel to the application, but again, the software doesn't truly lack in this category. Aside from this, the service is really pleasant to use and I've never once had the thought of uninstalling the application. While it would be great to have the ability to move the location of the VPN, I don't think that this is required to increase the overall performance.
I don't know all the other ways I could be using the product, so I'd love to learn more about all of the features. Maybe a monthly spotlight of features or having a banner that explains more ways certain features could be used would be helpful. I wouldn't want anything too exhaustive or frequent - just something that could share some high-level features that may be helpful for at-home workers or even security tips. I'm not super-versed in that kind of thing, so I would find that valuable. I would love a little tutorial that's quick.
If I were to be nitpicky, I would ask that Perimeter 81 offer the option for us to change the color of the graphical user interface, like maybe pink or green or so on.
There is not much to improve. Currently, I am not able to define a different country or location, which can result in negative experiences as the tool is being recognized by websites and this can make it difficult to access them or force me to disable the program temporarily. This could also be solved, however, this issue might be related to the way in which we have set up our current implementation of this service. This does not have to be a global shortcoming when using this service.
I would suggest adding more networking and security features that allow more customization within their platform. So far, I am very happy with their simple network management platform. However, I feel such features as SD-WAN, Firewalls, and more real-time alerts would take this solution to the next level. By adding these networking and security features, it will allow me to customize my company's network security to the level I am seeking.

In the future, maybe P81 can improve the network traffic balancing and redundancy.
