I think that there's a little bit of room for improvement in the way that accounts payable approval workflows are set up, however, the purchasing module overcomes any AP approval shortcomings. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the solution on almost every level. When it comes to additional features, I know that they're working on AP automation and a lot of different AI-type options, which is nice. As of right now, the solution provides everything I need.
Their training is the biggest room for improvement, and their documentation can get very confusing. It's not as clear-cut or easy to follow as it could be.
I would appreciate seeing more features included. The software needs to be adaptable depending on the region you're in. For instance, it works well for UK and US customers in terms of bank fee accuracy, but I'm pleased to see efforts to cater to the African market and improve integration with local bank transactions. The area where I would like to see significant improvement is in stock management. It would be great if it could expand its features to serve a wider range of businesses. Currently, it primarily caters to service-oriented industries, like finance and content firms, where it functions well.
It would be good if the training were perfect for all controllers, to teach them the basic tools and how to use everything in Sage Intacct. I also think they could create a very good module for automatic budgeting. The solution is very good for accounts, but I don't think it is as strong regarding enterprise performance management tools. In the future, they should try to either build it on their own or buy a company that can become a module for Sage Intacct.
We're not a good source for what's missing in any particular ERP product, as we are focused on selection and implementation consulting. If there were a weakness in a particular software offering involving a key business requirement, we'd shift our recommendations to another option. For our clients, where Intacct fits, it fits well. We've not seen significant issues. Every client we have is very satisfied with the product. We have had some pharma manufacturers use Intacct at a very early stage and move to other ERP packages to maintain manufacturing controls and documentation needed for FDA regulated entities, however, we were not involved in the initial selection of Intacct with those clients. That said, we can say it serves very well in early-stage IPO startup companies - just not in a manufacturing powerhouse.

The mobile integration was still lacking on that front. Now, most of those components have been integrated, so that's one thing that has already been implemented that I've seen that made a big difference. Furthermore, there are not too many specific things that I can think of that I would require changes for us, because we're also in talks for certain additional features and integrating human performance elements into the systems that we use. Everything seems to be running smoothly at the moment. There's nothing specific that I feel needs to be addressed.

The inventory module is quite tricky to use. I faced some issues with it.
