In Kubernetes, when traffic goes out of a pod, it has to have its own IP address. Every service that's going out requires another IP. But with OpenShift, you don't have to deal with any of those IPs because they use NAT.
Azure Red Hat OpenShift simplifies network management by eliminating individual IP handling with NAT, supports auto-scaling, and integrates seamlessly with AKS and EKS. The collaboration of Red Hat support and Azure management minimizes infrastructure complexity, prioritizing business processes. Stability and migration tools heighten Kubernetes integration. High costs and core licensing need improvement. Enhanced automation and expanded framework compatibility, such as with Rust, are essential enhancements. Improved support is also recommended.
