Have improved recovery preparedness and see potential growth with better technical support
Acronis provides ease of use with all tools and solutions operating through a single console and agent. This reduces the workload on endpoints during backups and other cybersecurity operations. Backup is crucial as it allows data recovery. Email security helps protect against malicious emails. The failover process is preconfigured, offering a simplistic switch over for servers.

A stable and economical solution that provides quick disaster recovery
The most valuable feature of Quorum OnQ is quick recovery. We call it a single-click recovery. If any server goes down, crashes, or experiences downtime, we can bring up the DR (Disaster Recovery) server in just two minutes. We also have a "Single Pane of Glass," wherein we work with only a single window. You don't have to use multiple windows to perform basic tasks like failover or failback.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The backup and recovery options work flawlessly."
"Using the backup as an image helps our organization to have a clean machine in disaster recovery."
"Performance-wise, it works efficiently for backup and recovery compared to other tools."
"Acronis provides ease of use with all tools and solutions operating through a single console and agent."
"Acronis Disaster Recovery has good scalability."
"DR and failover are good features of the tool."
"One key feature is it encrypts your data at rest which is really good."
"The most valuable features of the product for me are its backup and recovery functionalities."
"Being able to spin up a machine in a sandbox is amazing because it allows us to test things that we otherwise would not be able to do."
"It is a very scalable solution."
"The change in the way that Quorum processes data has made a tremendous improvement in backup and replication times. While the familiar interface remains, the underpinnings have been finely tuned and the speed is incredible. My large Exchange Server went from 5- to 6-hour backups down to 22 minutes."
"The biggest feature is being able to do a file recovery to the original server. That is extremely useful and has saved us a few times when we've had ransomware. In some of those cases, people's computers were locked down by viruses which spread to things they had access to, including server shares. But we were easily able to just restore to four hours prior, instead of a day or two or more ago."
"It's easy to implement, easy to spin up, easily configurable, to drop-in appliances and network. There wasn't a lot of time needed to spin it up."
"One of the most valuable features was the usability, since many of the features were very straightforward. The backup and restoration process was also very fast. Although we weren't able to fully test the scenarios, one of the features was that we could have it restored on a remote site. However, since we were on-prem, we weren't able to test the remote site restoration."
"It is a stable solution."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is its ease of use."

Cons

"The documentation can be improved, this would have helped."
"Acronis Disaster Recovery is an expensive solution compared to other products."
"We need the server configuration capacity to be enlarged with the solution's help, as it does not currently include capabilities for storage expansion during recovery."
"Acronis could improve by incorporating an application or network load balancer. They could also enhance endpoint security by integrating EDR within the security framework."
"For the backup to compete in the enterprise market, there must be improvements."
"There is room for improvement in incorporating intelligence around disaster recovery. For instance, if a server is completely offline and destroyed, the system should offer an intelligent response, providing options to start recovery without requiring manual intervention from engineers."
"The solution covers specific versions of Windows and Linux, and it would be good if other Linux versions or some special appliances could work in the Acronis Disaster Recovery environment."
"They could provide pricing models considering the requirements of various countries and organizations."
"They have radio buttons that allow multiselection, which is not intuitive."
"The one thing they could do is some tweaking on the web solution that's supposed to monitor everything from one page, rather than having to bring each server up on its own webpage. It doesn't always accurately show what the system's state is at the time, and we have to restart that process now and then."
"The user interface needs to be improved."
"Quorum OnQ's user interface is not very attractive and should be made more attractive."
"I would like to see iSCSI support added so that NAS storage servers could be protected. We heavily utilize NAS storage and the risk there is minimal backup options. Currently, we are backing up NAS to NAS which is costly and slow. Being able to integrate NAS server backup would be the last item on my Quorum bucket list."
"Quorum OnQ can be improved by providing support for other operating systems like Ubuntu."
"I don't love the scheduler, as I think that interface could use an overhaul."
"It feels to me like it's going to be a little bit more work than I originally anticipated when upgrading the appliance. I haven't done that yet so I can't speak from true experience, but I went through the project plan and it feels to me like there's quite a number of pieces and components and things that have to be done. Quorum is going to manage the rollout, but in starting the initial conversation there were a lot of unanswered questions"

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Acronis Disaster Recovery is a cheap solution."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing two or three out of ten."
"The tool's pricing is reasonable."
"The tool is a little bit expensive. When it comes to pricing, there is a range for the VMs and endpoints. It depends. A set of backups on a DR probably costs around 10 to 20 USD per endpoint."
"The product has an affordable price."
"This pricing is quite reasonable."
"The price of the solution is inexpensive."
"The solution’s pricing is average."
"We have never questioned whether it is worth it because it so obviously is a great value."
"The pricing is about $1,400 a month. It's a little bit on the higher side. But it's one of those situations where time is valuable for me. So if it costs a little bit more money for me to have a solution that just works and requires less of my day-to-day management, I'm willing to pay a little bit more."
"Quorum OnQ can be described as a medium-priced product...There are no ingress and egress charges in the product."
"When we quote the price of Quorum to customers, they find it expensive."
"The initial expenditure for us was a little under $40,000 for the recent renewal. For the first three years after that, other than electricity, there's no cost. After that, their support contract has to be renewed annually. We spent close to $6,000, between the two offices, for support."
"The cost is higher than other software and services, but it is an absolute must-have."
"I am not sure how much it costs, but I know it's expensive."
"When we first got the Quorum the licensing was different."
