A serverless solution with easy integration features
We use AWS Lambda because it provides a solution for our needs without requiring us to manage our infrastructure. With the tool, we only pay for the resources we use. Additionally, it is straightforward to implement and integrates with other services like API Gateway. The tool's serverless nature has had the most significant impact on our workflow. I find it particularly attractive because it eliminates the need for managing servers. In my previous experience, managing upgrades and updates was quite challenging. The solution's integration process with other AWS services was relatively easy. We primarily use AWS services such as EventBridge for scheduling processes and log management.

Used to manage Kubernetes infrastructure, but it doesn't have support from OCI
Spot Ocean is deployed on the cloud in our organization. I would recommend the solution to other users. You need to have an experience with Kubernetes, or else this product is of no use. It is not difficult to learn to use Spot Ocean. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

Pros

"The initial setup is pretty easy."
"Lambda being serverless is a great feature that is appropriate for our use cases."
"I have used AWS Lambda for simple messaging for SQS, creating a cron job, and delay messaging."
"It makes configurations more convenient as changes can be made through the environmental variables without altering the main code."
"The installation and configuration of the solution is straightforward."
"AWS Lambda is entirely stable."
"It's also suitable for companies of any size. For example, we're a large enterprise, and we've used Lambda without any problems in the last 10 months."
"Thanks to this solution, we do not need to worry about hardware or resource utilization. It saves us time."
"The solution helps us to manage and scale automatically whenever there is a limit to the increase in the application workflow."
"The solution offers both block access and file access, making it a nice solution for customers."

Cons

"The metrics and reporting for this solution could be improved."
"One area of improvement is to include support for more programming languages. AWS Lambda does not support a lot of programming languages. You have to write the Lambda functions in a certain programming language. We are using C++. My developer knows a couple of other languages. Python is his favorite language, but Python is not supported in AWS Lambda."
"My opinion is that the integration could be improved in this solution. We have had some difficulties integrating the EC2 module, but we found a solution for that by ourselves."
"We've had to revamp the way that it works due to that 15-minute timeout limitation."
"The deployment process is a bit complex, so it could be simplified to make it easier for beginners to deploy."
"AWS Lambda can improve its file system-based sharing capabilities and restrictions."
"We can write anything as code, but the solution will not give proper error information."
"The overall performance of this solution could be improved. We would also like to have better integration with other AWS features."
"The solution doesn't have support from OCI, and it should start working to onboard OCI."
"There are no particular areas for improvement I can identify."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"AWS Lambda is not expensive for micro testing but is expensive if used for long deployment or long services."
"For licensing, we pay a yearly subscription."
"The price of the solution is reasonable and it is a pay-per-use model. It is very good for cost optimization."
"AWS Lambda cost is pretty decent."
"The solution is part of the AWS subscription model that is paid annually."
"The price of the solution is reasonable."
"It costs maybe less than $10 per month in my use case."
"The fees are volume-based."
