Provides great visibility, saves us time, and integrates well
The dashboard provides great visibility into our risk profile. We receive a daily email report that outlines our risk score and identifies the machines with the highest risk. This information is based on usage patterns, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance issues. This helps us prioritize which machines require patching or further investigation. Drilling down further, we can analyze how our users are utilizing their workstations, including the websites they visit. While we don't track specific website URLs, we can categorize website types and identify any potentially risky or inappropriate usage patterns. This allows us to proactively address any potential security concerns. For instance, we identified a user who was using ChatGPT for work-related tasks. This flagged our system, and we were able to discuss the user's usage of ChatGPT to gain a better understanding of how our users are working and identify any areas that require additional attention.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Its customer service team responds quickly."
"I prefer BitSight due to its patch management capabilities. The score is a valuable feature. I have contacted the customer support through e-mail and their response rate is fast. I rate the solution a nine out of ten."
"Offers open ports from an external point of view."
"The solution is user-friendly."
"The product helps us identify the vulnerabilities of internet-facing applications."
"When we purchased Vision One, what set it apart was that it wasn't a traditional signature-based antivirus. It's a process-aware solution that provides real-time protection. That was a big differentiator three years ago, but now it's a given that every AV provider should be doing that. It combines signature-based telemetry with behavioral awareness and a detection-based solution, making it a good solution for us."
"I like that it is a comprehensive security solution with a lot of features. You can say XDR is an end-to-end security solution with endpoint security. It includes all your servers, networks, and other devices. The endpoint security solution does not cover this. Plus, machine learning and features like that are the main things in XDR solutions."
"For our day-to-day use cases, the correlation and attribution of different alerts are valuable. It is sort of an SIEM, but it is intelligent enough to run the queries and intentionally detect and prioritize attacks for you. At the end of the day, it is different data that you see. It correlates data for you and makes it meaningful. You can see that someone got an email and clicked a link. That link downloaded, for example, malware into the memory of the machine. From there, you can see that they started moving laterally to your environment. I quite like it because it gives visibility, so Workbench is what we use every day"
"The setup is fairly simple."
"The centralized visibility is good."
"VisionOne offers a clear window into the security posture of our endpoints."
"What I like the most about Trend Micro XDR is that the detection and response domain extends to the network. It goes beyond the endpoint and includes data about the network which lets you pinpoint patient zero as well as the root cause of the attack."
"I'm satisfied with the level of coverage. The policies have been very useful and detailed."

Cons

"There may be room for improvement in the methodology for identifying findings, as occasional errors occur on the technical side."
"At the moment, when the vulnerability score decreases, it remains the same for quite a while, even though issues are resolved in 24 hours."
"The solution’s benchmarking should be improved."
"Its factor analysis feature could be better."
"Data enrichment is the major issue."
"There should be a bit more dynamism when it comes to their playbooks in terms of the action triggers. That is the only thing that I would want to see a bit more."
"The solution only supports Windows and Mac. It would be helpful if it could support other OS, such as Linux."
"The integration with third-party tools and with on-premises Active Directory needs improvement."
"I would like to have the capability to export the information we receive from the XDR into Microsoft Excel."
"The solution lacks compatibility with other products. It needs to integrate better with other surrounding solutions."
"Also, XDR should improve its coverage of the latest IOCs. Their suspicious object management works, but the coverage should be improved. It will take one or two months to get those things covered. XDR will detect on a behavioral basis, but these databases will not get updated daily like some other solutions. If you're dealing with new ransomware or malware, it may take around a month before it's covered by Trend Micro."
"We've received some mild complaints that the documentation is sometimes not up to date."
"The support documentation could be more comprehensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The solution's price is average."
"The product has a reasonable price."
"It's relatively well-priced."
"Trend Micro XDR is reasonably priced for its value, comparable to other products like VMware Carbon Black."
"We have an annual subscription and I believe there is no option for monthly billing at the moment."
"The pricing for Trend Vision One is reasonable."
"The cost is considered fairly priced."
"Trend Micro recently switched from a license-based pricing model to a credit system, which caused some initial frustration during my renewal."
"The pricing of the solution is okay. There is a need for me to look into the new pricing plan introduced by the solution recently."
"It is definitely not cheap. I do believe you get what you pay for to some degree. It is cost-effective."
