We're not looking for anything new. For what we do, it meets all our needs. We have to use DB2 when we need more relational constructs, expanded inquiry and reporting; so it's not perfect in that regards. We use it really for our transaction processing, not as much for reporting. For transaction processing, it's doing the job we need. To go into more in-depth, high-volume reporting, we offload a lot of the data to DB2.

"I think the look and feel and the accessibility to the databases, the scale of environment support."
"The dashboards are great for gathering analytic information and seeing where the problems are."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Do not hold back on asking questions about the maintenance and continued support of the product."
"I rate Oracle Enterprise Manager’s pricing a five out of ten."
"Initially, our deal was for three years, and we extended it to five years. Oracle solutions are very costly."
"As far as I know, you do not pay for Oracle Enterprise Manager separately. You can use Enterprise Manager for free if you already have an Oracle license for your database."
"The license is good but can be improved."
"The solution is free."
"Evaluate your requirements carefully. Elaborate DR and HA setup of OEM can become expensive."
"Based upon 3 days of implementation by a single person, plus licensing costs would be approximately $60,000, including the virtualized hosts."
"Oracle Enterprise Manager is a free-of-cost solution. Oracle Enterprise Manager can be expensive only if you go for its licensing part."
