We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Gives me the ability to identify user browsers, user geographical location.""It makes our lives easier as we drill down to problems.""We spend less time investing in problems. We can spend more time on developing new projects.""The autodiscovery of service intercommunication has saved countless man hours and is dynamically updated when new services are added.""One thing it helped with: We should never get traffic from outside the U.S. and we were getting traffic from Europe, and that was a problem. We found out what caused it. Dynatrace helped us find that information out. We wouldn't have found it otherwise.""I would give Dynatrace's technical support a 100% rating. I feel like whenever I call or send an email that I get the right person automatically. For the most difficult answers, the most I have to wait is about three days and the answers have been relevant.""We are not blind anymore with our digital services performance; no more fire fighting.""Support was very quick to help us identify a problem and fix it immediately"

"The job subsystem, monitoring subsystem, alerting, grouping of targets, and reporting features are valuable to us.""I rate Oracle Enterprise Manager eight out of 10 for stability.""The most valuable feature is high availability.""The single-pane and single interface in the centralized system is the most valuable feature.""Oracle Enterprise Manager has eased the responsibilities among our DBAs. We can now assign individual tasks to separate DBAs.""Oracle Enterprise Manager is a scalable solution.""We use Oracle Enterprise Manager as a tool to monitor Oracle products.""It is the best database management system."

Cons
"When it comes to monitoring, we did the integration with VMware vCenter, and we were able to see some good stuff. The VMware vCenter integration was really great, but what we really missed was the integration with the network management stuff such as Cisco ACI. We wanted to see integration in that area, but it was not provided by Dynatrace. So, the main feature for us is integration with things like Cisco ACI. If they can bring that one in, with vCenter in there, it would be a total solution. It would be absolutely incomparable to anything else in the market.""I think scalability is what we're struggling with. I would say it's okay, but there's a little bit of room for improvement.""It is necessary to improve the integration with the product, Oracle Siebel.""The usability is worse than it used to be.""It needs .NET core support to the level of Java.""I'd really like to see more dashboarding abilities. The ability to do workflows within dashboards, being able to start at a high level and click into it with custom dashboards. I think most of the time, we are creating our own custom dashboards, and I'd just like to see more ability with that.""Monitoring asynchronous code requires manual instrumentation (most of the time).""The one area that we get value out of now, where we would love to see additional features, is the Session Replay. The ability to see how one individual uses a particular feature is great. But what we'd really like to be able to see is how a large group of people uses a particular feature. I believe Dynatrace has some things on its roadmap to add to Session Replay that would allow us those kinds of insights as well."

More Dynatrace Cons →

"The deployment is not straightforward.""In my opinion, rather than a younger DBA, think the user interface could be improved.""Technical support could be more responsive.""Better mobile access would be useful.""In my experience, the monitoring could be improved.""I feel more dashboards can be added, especially those useful to higher levels of IT management.""The tool's pricing is costly.""Improving the integration speed would be beneficial, as the current Java-based system can sometimes result in slow responses."

    Reviews from Real Users

Dynatrace is the only solution that provides answers to organizations based on deep insight into each user, transaction, and organization's environment.

Barry P., a managing performance engineer at Medica Health Plans, writes, "With Dynatrace, we have synthetic checks and real-user monitoring of all of our websites, places where members and providers can interact with us over the web. We monitor the response times of those with Dynatrace, and it's all integrated into one place."

A consultant at a tech service company notes, "A feature that's one of the highlights of Dynatrace is the AI. The second most valuable feature is OneAgent. Between infrastructures, applications, operating systems, you can deploy with just a single agent and can practically install and forget about it."

    Reviews from Real Users

Oracle Enterprise Manager stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Several major ones are its central management and monitoring and its reporting capabilities

Robin C., head of Oracle Exadata Centre of Excellence at Tata Consultancy Services, writes, "The database performance monitoring features are very useful and allow us to quickly zero in on DB-related issues. Exadata storage server and Infiniband switches can be viewed from the GUI in OEM which cannot be done in other tools. The ability to deploy metric extensions makes this tool extensible for our custom monitoring also."

PeerSpot users note the effectiveness of these features. A database manager at a tech services company notes, “The solution's most valuable aspect is the fact that it is embedded with the Oracle database and Oracle's engineering system, its extra data, and analytics.  They have plug-ins that are very helpful. Due to the infrastructure's size, the introduction they offer is very, very useful. It helps with an overall understanding of the product. They have a very nice graphical user interface. The monitoring is good. We can capture the SQL tune from us. With Oracle Enterprise Managers, we can see the rich performance tuning.”
