Can be well-integrated with the existing systems in a company and is very intuitive to use
I once faced a problem with the tool, but I remember that I managed to work without a VPN, and then the problem with the product was sorted out somehow. An option to connect not only with the username and password but also through SMS in an easy manner is something that needs to be added to the tool. When I changed the way I connect to the tool to the SMS option, I did it because I bought a new phone, and it had a problem connecting with the tool, after which I had to go to the settings to change it, so I felt it was not very intuitive. In other platforms, the user will have two options to connect, one of which is with a username and password, and the other one is with an SMS.

Integrated security features ensure seamless protection and inspire long-term trust
The reason why I went for Sophos SafeGuard is that it's got every function that I would need for an antivirus or system protection, and another thing that Sophos has done that makes it even more important for me is the synchronized security. There is a policy on my firewall that restricts any system that synchronizes with the endpoint working on all my servers and workstations, and if any system is found to be infected, because it synchronizes with the firewall, the rules drop the packet and alert the IT administrator. Until that system is checked and cleaned, there is no internet access for that system, which alone is a game changer for me. Those developers at Sophos are very innovative, and I don't think they need to improve anything because they are thousands of steps ahead. Before I can think of any feature that should be added, it's already there, and all I get is just a notification that this feature is available, to give it a try and let them know if it is something I want to add. You must understand that every feature comes with a price, not for free. The more features I add, the additions are based on the need; if it's not needed, I am not going to add them.

Pros

"The encryption ensures each of our drives is not invasive and that the user does not have a bad experience even while the drive is being encrypted."
"Above all, the possibility of keeping our data safe by placing a unique digital signature for each device we will encrypt, informing us of any unauthorized changes, is one of the most valuable features."
"We haven't had anything related to threats pass through our system in the last five years."
"It keeps the devices well monitored."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The product's initial setup phase is totally fine."
"It's easily scalable and adaptable to the needs of the business."
"The solution provides complete security for one's workstation."
"The features that I have found most valuable are encryption tools that encrypt the hard disk and the USB sticks."
"The solution can block a virus attack and prevent it from moving across the system."
"It's easy to use; you have to pay extra for additional features, but the basic product is fantastic and will be a good solution for you, depending on your requirements."
"Security-wise, it's one of the best."
"The most valuable features of the solution are the fact that they are able to encrypt the hard disk and to encrypt USB sticks."
"For general data protection and GDPR requirements, which are relevant because we work with European companies, SafeGuard helps us stay compliant."
"We have a process and policies, including that all data should be secure, and SafeGuard has helped us to protect that integrity to confidentiality."
"The most valuable feature is the cloud-based supervision that is offered by Sophos Central."

Cons

"While the solution works as it should, it is overly expensive."
"I would like to bring centralized management to mobile devices."
"The solution is overpriced."
"The tool should be able to recover data from a stolen device."
"You do need to be careful that you don't mess too much with the endpoint, or you might have issues with the work stations."
"The response time for technical support could be faster."
"I rate the support from Check Point Full Disk Encryption Software Blade a six out of ten."
"In the future, I would like to see is the ability to decrypt equipment."
"Sometimes we have issues that take a long time to solve."
"Sophos SafeGuard is a German product. Sophos isn't really active in Europe."
"The Office 360 integration could be improved."
"An area for improvement in Sophos SafeGuard is the pricing. Pricing should be better when adding a new account or scaling the product."
"Technical support could be a bit better."
"From version eight, Windows 8 onwards, SafeGuard doesn't work 100% of the time, so we have to use BitLocker for the encrypting and only the key management is done by SafeGuard."
"The security does not have 100% authentication."
"Sophos could improve transparency around licensing and renewal costs. Unexpected costs have arisen during license renewals, impacting our budget planning."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As it costs $125 per workstation per year, something which is above the price of what the competition is charging, the solution is definitely too expensive."
"The licensing costs depend on the series. For example, XG 85 can be around $200. If you go to ACC or to a four or five-year enterprise solution, you will find these devices can cost $10,000. It depends on the series."
"The licenses are dependant on the number of users and computers you have to protect."
"Regarding pricing, it's a middle-priced solution. We typically use Sophos SafeGuard with the Sophos firewall, which includes VPN connections. The cost depends on the number of users, with some customers requiring hundreds of connections and others needing around a thousand."
"We used it for three years. It costs about 1000 ZAR. Maintenance was part of it, so we don't have extra cost. On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the solution's pricing a three."
"I rate Sophos SafeGuard's pricing a five out of ten."
"It's a software license with a one-time purchase. There are no issues with purchasing, and the vendor is flexible with licensing."
"We have a yearly license with Sophos which is around $1000-$1200 or so per annum. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"I rate the pricing two or three on a scale of one to ten, where one is expensive, and ten is cheap."
