Can be well-integrated with the existing systems in a company and is very intuitive to use
I once faced a problem with the tool, but I remember that I managed to work without a VPN, and then the problem with the product was sorted out somehow. An option to connect not only with the username and password but also through SMS in an easy manner is something that needs to be added to the tool. When I changed the way I connect to the tool to the SMS option, I did it because I bought a new phone, and it had a problem connecting with the tool, after which I had to go to the settings to change it, so I felt it was not very intuitive. In other platforms, the user will have two options to connect, one of which is with a username and password, and the other one is with an SMS.

Easy installation and maintenance have improved data security with two-way encryption
I don't see any area for improvement in Sophos SafeGuard. Sophos SafeGuard doesn't have on-premises solutions; it's completely available on the cloud only. It's on a public cloud; they don't have any other deployment models, just their own lease. We are not properly aware if they are using AWS or Microsoft Azure since Sophos employs their own cloud solution, which I think is Amazon. AI is not integrated into Sophos SafeGuard; AI is available in EDR and XDR. AI is not required for this product; it is only focused on key management which they already manage well in other products. The overall rating for the product is a ten out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The product's initial setup phase is totally fine."
"We use the solution for endpoint encryption and it handles everything, with security, a firewall within the workstation, and DLP within the solution and on the workstation, making use of 360-degree security on one's workstation."
"Above all, the possibility of keeping our data safe by placing a unique digital signature for each device we will encrypt, informing us of any unauthorized changes, is one of the most valuable features."
"Encryption prevents data loss which can cost the organization a lot of resources."
"We haven't had anything related to threats pass through our system in the last five years."
"Its ability to provide a security layer of encryption that allows us to prevent unauthorized access to computers."
"This software has helped individuals in the organization avoid data loss."
"The solution is pretty reliable."
"The most valuable feature is the cloud-based supervision that is offered by Sophos Central."
"The advantage of Sophos SafeGuard stems from the fact that it is more secure than other products in the market."
"The setup process is straightforward and takes around 20 minutes to an hour to complete."
"The features that I have found most valuable are encryption tools that encrypt the hard disk and the USB sticks."
"I like that Sophos SafeGuard provides excellent technical support."
"The solution offers very good performance and the user interface is simple, which makes it very easy to use."
"The solution can block a virus attack and prevent it from moving across the system."
"We use it to manage BitLocker and find it very easy to set up."

Cons

"Regarding the general topic of support, many have annoyances with it."
"The solution is overpriced."
"There are a few cases of security breaches when the networking system fails and can lead to malware attacks. The next release should focus more on data virtualization and support for all computing devices."
"You do need to be careful that you don't mess too much with the endpoint, or you might have issues with the work stations."
"Sometimes the performance rates are not consistent."
"The cost of maintaining the system is high for personal use."
"The encryption is fast; however, when it comes to generating decryption of the OS disks, it is sometimes very slow, generating a loss of time."
"While the solution works as it should, it is overly expensive."
"The cost is rather expensive. It's a pain point for many clients."
"It just needs a little bit more on the reporting side. Its reporting can be improved a little bit in terms of being able to know that things are in the right status."
"The solution lacks connectivity to Azure AD so it can connect to the regular internal Windows AD server but there's no direct connection to Azure AD."
"It just needs a little bit more on the reporting side. Its reporting can be improved a little bit in terms of being able to know that things are in the right status. I should be able to pull a report to make sure that everything is all right. It could also have cloud integration. At the time I was using it, it wasn't a cloud product."
"The focus should be on making things automated ."
"There are times that this solution takes up too much memory that needs to be resolved. If it is not fixed it will definitely create issues in the future."
"The solution is not using other features like booting encryption, because it causes very heavy processing of the workstation."
"The encryption could be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"As it costs $125 per workstation per year, something which is above the price of what the competition is charging, the solution is definitely too expensive."
"Pricing for Sophos SafeGuard could be improved because it could reach a thousand dollars depending on the product, edition, and software key purchased."
"Licensing for this solution is on a yearly basis."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"Pricing for Sophos SafeGuard should be transparent. If you want to get support for Sophos SafeGuard, you don't get pricing information about support costs, and in the end, you'll get charged more."
"The platform is reasonably priced considering its functionality and adaptability. It is subscription-based."
"It's a software license with a one-time purchase. There are no issues with purchasing, and the vendor is flexible with licensing."
"We have a yearly license with Sophos which is around $1000-$1200 or so per annum. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee."
"The licenses are dependant on the number of users and computers you have to protect."
