Regarding pricing, it's a middle-priced solution. We typically use Sophos SafeGuard with the Sophos firewall, which includes VPN connections. The cost depends on the number of users, with some customers requiring hundreds of connections and others needing around a thousand.
I use the paid version of the product. There is a need to make annual payments towards the licensing charges attached to the product. The product is not expensive. I feel that the product's price is normal, meaning it is neither too high nor too low. There is no need to pay any additional costs apart from the normal charges attached to the product.
You only need to acquire an appliance once, so you won't be acquiring a new appliance every year. It is okay if you need to spend money once unless you face some issues due to Sophos' plans to phase out the product from the market. I rate the product price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price, and ten is a high price. The product is neither expensive nor cheap, meaning the tool falls under a mid-range when it comes to price. Once you have the appliance, it has to be licensed. The price of the licenses is based on what you want. Every feature has a license, but now, if you want only one feature, you can pick up such a feature as it is now possible to customize the license based on what you want.

We used it for three years. It costs about 1000 ZAR. Maintenance was part of it, so we don't have extra cost. On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the solution's pricing a three.
Pricing for Sophos SafeGuard should be transparent. It's normal for licenses to come with costs, but they shouldn't surprise you. For example, if you want to get support for Sophos SafeGuard, you don't get pricing information about support costs, and in the end, you'll get charged more. You pay an additional amount for Sophos support. Cost-wise, my company could have gotten a more pleasant experience from Sophos. It's a seven out of ten, pricing-wise.
The pricing for Sophos SafeGuard is in the middle. It's not the most expensive, but it's not the lowest. In terms of size, the solution typically fits small to medium-scale customers. Pricing for Sophos SafeGuard could be improved because it could reach a thousand dollars depending on the product, edition, and software key purchased. Sometimes, the price increases, and sometimes, Sophos SafeGuard is free for the first year. It depends on Sophos' strategies to compete with other solutions, such as Forcepoint.

It would be great if the price of the solution was lower than the current price. If we are to sell this particular solution to smaller businesses and not just enterprise businesses, it needs to be lower.
The licenses are renewed every three years. The licenses are dependant on the number of users and computers you have to protect. This is a complete product that is offering full-feature bundles. On occasion, if a customer is looking for better performance with their email protection, I offer a separate appliance for email protection. These features can be extracted from the firewall and used as a separate dedicated appliance to address the issues surrounding email protection. This is for on-premises versions only and is available to everyone. This is an extra feature which would be an additional cost. It's a good solution for the SMB market but not enterprise.
Licensing for this solution is on a yearly basis. They tell you from day one how much it costs and what features you get. One of the great things about Sophos is if we have any added features that they send out, it will be included in the pricing. The price will not increase.

The licensing costs depend on the series. For example, XG 85 can be around $200. If you go to ACC or to a four or five-year enterprise solution, you will find these devices can cost $10,000. It depends on the series.
Protect your confidential information and comply with regulatory mandates safely and securely with SafeGuard Enterprise, Utimaco's comprehensive modular information protection platform. SafeGuard Enterprise offers full transparency to end-users and is easy to administer from a single central console.

The pricing is good and now they offer three-year and five-year plans. After that, if one likes the service, they can choose the lifetime service.

We pay around $10 a year for each endpoint, including support. There are no additional fees.
Licensing is reasonably priced, particularly when you compare it to a solution like Semantic which is more expensive. Sophos is an affordable product.
We need to pay for this solution currently, however, if we switch to Bitlocker, it would be free as it's a part of Microsoft's OS.

The price could be lower. I think it's one of the disadvantages of the solution.

We have a yearly license with Sophos which is around $1000-$1200 or so per annum. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee.
