Automating dashboards has saved time and now supports prompt-driven task workflows
My main use case for Digital.ai Agility is learning to create a dashboard and prompt engineering. I am trying to automate my tasks by automating the dashboard The best feature Digital.ai Agility offers me so far is that I write a prompt and receive the result for that. I see the time saving with…

Drilling into change lifecycles has given me clear end to end traceability for every item
Reporting is my main area of concern. Additionally, the migration activity and portability are important areas for improvement. If I needed to move from Jira to Rally Software, having built-in portability or migration utilities would be beneficial. At the time of my use, there was not an inbuilt capability to migrate applications from other third-party solutions to Rally Software. Currently, I am not using Rally Software.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"VersionOne delivers a total ALM solution for whether you are operating a single team, like Scrum and Kanban for IT operations, or implementing an agile enterprise approach, like SAFe."
"The solution is excellent for collaboration; from the agility point of view, they have very good sprint functionality, allowing you to set up sprints effectively."
"Agility is highly flexible. It can do much more than what our client is doing with it. They use it in a defined way. Some at that company have a much broader knowledge of agile and SAFe, but they're given applications and a mandated way to work. We had to work within their parameters and provide an accurate transition so the data would be mapped and pushed through."
"You can use Digital.ai Agility for automating your tasks and creating your dashboard."
"With some of the other tools, you have to buy 20 different plugins to get to the same capability that comes with the basic Agility capability."
"It allows my clients to have one central tool to manage their agile projects."
"I prefer Agility out of the three applications we work with because it has the most flexibility and can work at a higher level."
"Digital.ai Agility helped our organization define the Enterprise Value Streams, and in the tool you can derive all user stories, features, and epics from the top-level portfolio items and value streams so any work that is done must contribute to the value streams, otherwise it should be questioned why that effort is being executed."
"We have many teams that work on different modules and every team can follow what the other team is doing at the moment, so as to take a decision about taking the user story into the sprint or wait, till the dependent team finishes its work."
"The most valuable features of Rally Software are the executive dashboards, ease of use, and many other features. They have encapsulated everything that a GI can do, such as monitoring, maintaining, and then releasing. It's continuous integration and development."
"There is a ton of flexibility, I can use it for anything I can think of within the development lifecycle, it is user friendly, and it really helps us with tracking progress so we can see where we’re heading."
"The dashboard and planning board are the most valuable features, as they help me track the progress of my user stories."
"Reporting is much easier and faster than Micro Focus ALM, with CA AC built on web services... Also, the data is more granular when it comes to tasks, iterations, sprints, and releases."
"The main value that we get out of Agile Central is the transparency it allows us to provide, both from the team level all the way through the executive level within the company and the work that we are doing."
"Ease of use - I don't even know when a new release is coming and I don't need to because it's so easy to use what's new."
"By using the CA Agile Central tool organization-wide, it gives us a clear picture of how many user stories we can pick and the capacity of the entire team, and we have really improved deliverables and reduced our sprint length from around eight weeks to five weeks for clients."

Cons

"Improve how to create and track releases. Currently, I have to create child projects."
"The machine learning features are a new capability but could be improved. This is being worked by Digital.ai currently. Multicolor simulation, specifically, could be improved."
"The response from Digital.ai Agility is a little bit slow and could be faster."
"In my work as a contractor, it's always frustrating when a client has multiple software applications that don't talk to each other and they all perform the same function. That presents a huge challenge between their IT groups."
"It was not supporting some plugins. We wanted to migrate data that we were already using."
"The user interface can be improved by adding Save, Edit, Add, Cancel, and Return buttons to the popup windows that are displayed when you click on a child item."
"There is room for improvement in getting the analytics portion of the solution more integrated with the rest of it."
"I would like to see more Kanban support. As it stands, it doesn't seem to have the features or the layouts that the teams really need to be able to execute their tasks. It almost tries to force you into more of a Scrum style."
"One area for improvement might be the rigidity in role and access configurations, which require many process changes to fit the tool."
"There are a couple of accelerators in the market that allow teams to manage meetings and notes, particularly stand-up call notes."
"It is an expensive tool. Bring in a good negotiator."
"The ability to customize reports needs improving by providing users with features for selecting what they want to see on the reports, how they want to lay out the reports, and create a schedule for a report to be generated automatically and sent by email."
"Being a Kanban team inside of SAFe, some of the fields that you have to fill out are a little awkward, because then you can't use the views the way you want to."
"The UI can be slow to respond at times and difficult to navigate initially."
"I think the interface could be a little bit more visual and less wordy."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Comparing the pricing to other products, I think this solution is in the middle."
"You get what you pay for. Don't let your development teams dictate what the portfolio management team should use as the main tool."
"I understand it's a little more expensive. That is why many people prefer Jira."
"I don't know the exact pricing, but I think the tool is priced high. They provide quality workmanship, good software, regular upgrades, and they're always attentive and listen to users. Everything comes with a price. I think it's an expensive solution compared to Jira or other competitors, but it's a complete package."
"The license costs are fairly high as compared to some of the other solutions out there."
"Frankly, pricing is expensive and needs to be carefully planned for when budgeting."
"From a price point, it's a cost effective solution for our needs."
"We are always looking for a discount, if the solution was less expensive it would be a benefit."
"It is expensive and may not be worthwhile for a small company."
"Rally Software costs $50 a month, and for a base account, that price is acceptable."
