Easy to deploy with an impressive networking feature
The volumes for persistent storage could be more user friendly right out of the box. I would like an option to just use it as local storage or some kind of NSF or CIF. Or to mount the volume straight to a Google Drive or through a particular cloud storage. It's not that these things are impossible, but you have to do some extra work or configurations.

Easy to install with good support, but the deployment of applications could be simplified
If a customer is focused on application modernization or CI/CD, there are some weaknesses. The modernization in Ezmeral could be improved. There are some issues with the integration of Kubernetes. I hope they can improve it and do much better than they do now. I would like to see the deployment of applications simplified.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The tool helps us in code versioning. I think it's pretty much easy to use and very straightforward. Even if someone is new to the tool, they can easily start using it with a little guidance or theoretical knowledge. Go through the tool and start using it without much struggle."
"I have seen end-to-end performance with Docker. It's a great tool, and it's the most popular container service in the market."
"The most valuable feature of Docker is its integration with other solutions, such as KVM and AlmaLinux."
"It is a very stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The solution helps save costs."
"I think that with Docker, it is easy to deploy it on different platforms."
"The most valuable feature is that it gives you the same environment as on a developer machine as well as a production machine relevant to specifications."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the Dockerfile, which makes the life of developers easy. Developers get a real understanding of container creation."
"If customers focus on primary apps or if they are using them for data science, this is a good solution."

Cons

"The security layer is very vulnerable, although they are working to improve the system hardening and email hardening."
"They should provide proper documentation to understand the solution's cgroup process."
"There is always room for improvement. I often refer to forums such as StackOverflow to learn from other developers' experiences and the challenges they have faced while using Docker."
"As for improving Docker, I would like to see enhancements in its user interface and documentation to make it even more user-friendly and accessible. I believe Docker will expand its scope and reduce limitations to support more applications, both online and offline. For instance, in scenarios like deployments on ships or during upgrades, Docker can continue to offer software services and container-based intelligence."
"The Kubernetes blocks need improvement since Docker has many holes in it."
"The volumes for persistent storage could be more user friendly right out of the box."
"The vendor should release a monitoring tool or include monitoring capabilities in Docker"
