Automates processes efficiently with cost-effective scaling and robust customer support
Web scraping is quite good since it offers a lot of possibilities. Another important feature for me is its compatibility with MBI, the Power that is ISEQUADO Centers. I appreciate the ability to scale and increase the number of bots or studios without additional expense. Automate's non-reliance on additional orchestrators makes it quite cost-effective.

It has a lot of functionality, whatever we use, but a few things could be improved
Extracting tables from certain documents could be improved. The next product release should include a utility that provides HyperScience JSON output. It would be related to any application, like other platforms and include Power Apps. We need to impact their REST API, but we would need a connection bridge application. And the second feature would be HyperScience providing different outputs. At present, HyperScience only provides JSON output. If a business needs a different output, we must create the utility ourselves and provide that data to XML or something similar. But if HyperScience could do that, we would no longer need third-party apps.

Good for email routing and management features but additional costs for plug-ins
Power Automate has fewer features and more limitations in general. It's not as mature a product as some of the others, like UiPath or Automate Anywhere. One of the main issues I've found is that Power Automate struggles with accessing Excel or other Office documents on servers. Even though it's a Microsoft product, we often have to log in through remote systems, and syncing can be problematic due to the way we use servers. At the very least, they should provide access to Office 365 directly, without requiring additional logins on servers. Most people utilizing Power Automate are already working within the Office 365 environment. Any proof of concepts (POCs) using Power Automate would naturally be built on top of Office 365.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like the interface; it makes managing automation easy. We can set different schedules and templates for each task."
"We have tried other RPA solutions like UiPath or Automation Anywhere. They are fantastic products but complex, and it's hard to understand everything. It would be best if you had a skilled developer or several. Automate is easy to implement, administer, and use. It's appropriate for us because our cases are simple and easy to automate. We don't need complicated tools with many features; We prefer to get a significant ROI quickly."
"Fortra's Automate performs the job effectively and has the capability to alert us of any issues."
"The product effectively handles all the tasks we require."
"I find the ease of use from a programming perspective very valuable."
"It gives us a central place to schedule tasks and run them distributed."
"It's very easy to use. That's a big selling point for it. It has got a drag-and-drop interface, so you can quickly deploy bots."
"The ability to connect to websites and pull data is the solution's most valuable feature."
"We have seen pretty good accuracy."
"It provides the best accuracy for handwritten forms, which is a struggle in the industry. You can take processes with a lot of manual work and streamline them through this tool."
"Has algorithms that can detect a document template even if the image has a lot of distortions."
"Valuable features include tools like IQ Bot and the ability to extract handwritten documents with 93-95 per cent accuracy."
"What I liked more about HyperScience was the quality of the OCR it is a lot better compared to Google."
"I like that compared to other tools, HyperScience works best with handwritten documents."
"One of the most valuable features of HyperScience is the user-training module. Whenever the extraction takes place, based on the way we have trained HyperScience, it would give us some success status or a certain confidence level. If the solution has processed something that it determined was not extracted correctly it will queue those items for manual review."
"The sequencer programming mode's ease of use is its most valuable aspect. The ease of calling out the functions in a sequence, basically from the functional side, is great."
"WinAutomation is very handy to use, and it has the power to interact with multiple systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or .NET systems."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to integrate across multiple systems."
"Triggering and scheduling were pretty good. There was no real commitment with WinAutomation because the licensing was very fair and you could trigger bots very easily."
"For people who already use Office 365, Power Automate is very easy to integrate and use."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Power Automate is the ability to automate tedious tasks."
"I have found the scheduling and email notifications features to very good compared to other RPA tools I have used."
"With the desktop version, we can automate many things. The ability to do a lot of things is one of the most valuable features."

Cons

"I would prefer not having to log in to update a ticket; being able to respond via email would be beneficial."
"The OCR for Hebrew text needs to be improved."
"Some companies have asked for voice integration. This is likely part of the roadmap."
"I would like the updates to be easier to deploy. Integration with Amazon S3 is somewhat lacking."
"I find that most important features are strong, however, there is a lack of good development for artificial intelligence, such as machine learning."
"The workflow for variables could be better. The input and output of task-level variables could be made a little clearer in terms of passing those around from one task to another upon success, etc. Things like that could be a little easier potentially."
"There is a lack of good development for artificial intelligence, such as machine learning."
"The technical support could be better. We suffer from language barriers, as we are in Argentina."
"HyperScience could improve the unstructured data extraction feature."
"They could work on the price and make it a bit more reasonable."
"No solution is perfect and there are several different scenarios that could be improved in HyperScience. One area is where there are multiple tables in the same form I have seen HyperScience struggle. There is some issue with supporting the extraction from multiple tables involved on the same form. If this could improve, it would be a big benefit."
"The solution lacks support for a greater range of languages."
"HyperScience has less capability while working on unstructured forms. Unstructured forms are those where there is no standard structure and the information can be anywhere on the form. They need to develop this capability."
"Extracting tables from certain documents could be improved."
"The product's usability could be better. The first pain point is that we're getting the output in a different format, and we were expecting a different timetable. The second point is that if you want better results, HyperScience says you have to configure a minimal PDF or a maximum of 400 PDFs. If you want results with 400 PDFs for what's written by these doctors, then you also configure the maximum of 400 templates for that. So, it's essentially a lack of support from HyperScience. In the next release, it would be better if failure scenarios were reduced. It would also help if they offered different formats, inputs or injections, and added different scenarios."
"I would recommend removing the AI Builder feature from the automatic document processing functionality. The tool can serve even better with free automatic document processing features, it shouldn’t only be available in the trial version."
"When comparing with Automation Anywhere, there are a couple of things that this product doesn't have. One of the major things is the key management system. It would be great if they improve this. Its documentation can also be improved."
"The OCR part or scanning of documents is missing."
"The solution could offer more specific training. There should be more examples of what the functions can do and more instructions and explanations to the process."
"The thing which needs the most improvement is really the documentation. It should have better details of the processes."
"Their OCR capabilities are not as evolved as the other tools."
"They can provide a deeper level of feedback about running processes. When I compare it to Blue Prism, the control room has slightly less information about the running processes and possible errors. I'm not a pro, so I am not entirely sure if this is a core feature of the product or if it is because of the way our partners have developed it or set it up."
"It should be faster and more user-friendly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The cost is a bit high for a small business like ours, but we manage with Fortra's Automate."
"While solutions like UiPath and Blue Prism cost around $11,000-$12,000 for each license, this product costs around $7,000 and you can keep it forever."
"Compared to other products, the pricing model for this solution is much more convenient, flexible, and adaptable to the Portuguese reality."
"I like the way this solution is priced because you can buy a license, or you can buy the software outright."
"It has gone up in price. The price of Fortra's Automate has increased since we first started using it. It does a lot but also costs a lot. It was a lot more affordable before Fortra owned the software."
"From a distributor's side, one of the biggest selling points is its price point. Without going into any numbers, compared to UiPath, Automation Anywhere, and Blue Prism, we're significantly cheaper. The main difference is that other competitors usually charge you per process. However, in Automate's case, it's priced per bot. So, a bot can run multiple processes at the same time, but you are only priced for a single bot."
"From a distributor's perspective, one of the biggest selling points of Automate is its price point."
"I'm only involved in running the product and maintaining the systems, so I can't speak to the cost."
"I think HyperScience is cheaper when compared to other tools. They also have a lifetime licensing option."
"I don't have any idea about the licensing costs, but I know that there was a per-page charge. They had different models of pricing. One of them was based on the minimum number of pages, and we had a fixed price. So, the price model depends on the volume that is coming through HyperScience."
"Licensing is on an annual basis."
"Due to the pricing model, the solution is more convenient than any other tools."
"Currently, we are using the free license for testing. After everything is done, we'll buy the license."
"At the moment, from our experience with the two, Power Automate is a lot more expensive solution than Automation Anywhere, but it is also a far more reliable solution. With the price increases and with the current pandemic situation going on worldwide, a lot of the prices have fluctuated, but the packages and the all-encompassing features you get with the Microsoft package far outweigh the benefits from the Automation Anywhere side. Each package on the Automation Anywhere side is cheaper, but we need to continuously purchase subsequent packages to continue with our automation to the extent that we require. So, the Power Automate solution is a bit more pricey, but it does offer us a far better range of capabilities."
"There is a per-user licensing model for individual users."
"I would rate the pricing an eight out of ten, with ten being expensive because there are charges for additional plug-ins."
"The licensing model is flexible in that you can pay per automation or per user. My client receives a discount because of the large number of users and pays approximately $15 for each one."
"Its license is a part of our enterprise agreement. It is a three-year contract, but we pay yearly. So, it is a yearly license. There are no additional costs."
