The primary function of it is to back it up off-site so that if you ever have any kind of data corruption, data loss, that you can easily recover that data.
They have done some drastic improvements just in the last year that have really met a lot of our needs. Being able to sync between computers was a big one; the ability to administer it through a web portal, that was a big thing; and it's all in Connected MX now. At the moment, I don't have anything that I would ask the product manager to add to it, because he's done a really good job of getting it to where it's at right now. Nonetheless, one thing they could do better on is knowledge and education about it. Nobody knows about it, and I feel that everybody needs it, they just don't know it.

Protects user data and offers data control and has an easy deployment
The most valuable feature is encryption control. If you have a laptop, it guarantees that the data is not missing or lost. It’s easy to deploy and has a central console where you can see whether the laptops are encrypted, updated, and protected. It protects devices, including USB and other external devices, and guarantees data loss protection. Additionally, with device control, you can ensure that no ransomware is introduced into the network. For me, this is of very high value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The integration features are the most valuable. The integration is specific to each solution. It works well with SQL and Oracle databases and so on."
"The intrusion detection system."
"The solution can be easily connected and it is very secure."
"Sophos SafeGuard is very easy to implement, and the connection for remote users is beneficial."
"For general data protection and GDPR requirements, which are relevant because we work with European companies, SafeGuard helps us stay compliant."
"It's the best solution on the market."
"It is seamless and easy to install. We haven't encountered any recent issues."
"The platform has significantly enhanced our data security posture by ensuring that sensitive information remains encrypted and protected from unauthorized access."
"What I love most about Sophos SafeGuard is its user-friendly interface. My company has another software with a complex user interface versus Sophos SafeGuard, which is extremely easy to use."

Cons

"On the exchange server, you do not have the best options for adjusting your mailbox. This feature is not included. Also, disaster recovery backups can be improved. Some other solutions, such as HP Data Protector, have more features."
"There's no centralized management. This is a drawback."
"It's a good product, but some are not happy with the boot BCN, and the point-to-point VPN requires the best protection."
"I would like to see a support-cloud, where Sophos creates a single package that contains all of its products."
"In the next release, I would like to see more automation with the endpoint logging, but it's a special feature that is quite complicated to explain."
"Sophos should conduct some seminars to teach people how to use it and also to inform the users about what they should do in case of problems."
"I cannot think of any improvements right now."
"The product is not cheap."
"What would make Sophos SafeGuard better than competitors is if its management console also includes firewall management. In the future, I want Sophos SafeGuard to be more scalable."
