Very good performance and load testing capabilities
Our company uses the solution for performance and automation testing.  The solution is very helpful for media and visual studio. We have a legacy application related to healthcare products in the hospital management industry. We create a lot of smart objects using Microsoft Objects. For usability…

Can be used by non-developers, and saves us time, but the manual testing needs improvement
UiPath’s Test Suite manual testing doesn’t work for our organization based on how the QA Analysts do their manual testing and the artifacts that are needed for deployment. The QA Manager needs to track which tests have been completed, the success rate, and other relevant information. The ability to have manual tests show up in multiple projects is a requirement that is not easily done in Test Suite. We have submitted the following enhancements request to UiPath and are waiting for them to address these issues before migrating our manual testing to the UiPath Test Suite platform. * Ability to import manual test cases from an Excel Spreadsheet. * Ability to create release folders and have manual tests under the folders (sub-folders are also needed). * Ability to copy tests between projects (manual and automated). * Ability to execute manual test cases in any order and skip tests if needed. * Ability to assign and see who has been assigned to test cases – need to know who created the test case and who executed the test case as they could be different people. * Ability for the QA manager to see which test cases have been run and which haven’t as well as which ones were successful, and which weren’t. * Ability for the QA manager to track defect cycles for a particular release. * Improving Search functionality – must enter the exact test case name in current search functionality. * Ability to extract key data for artifacts for Release Management or Audit* Test Set or Individual Cases, * Include Test Results (passed / failed), * Include how many iterations a test case went through until it passed.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The way it identifies elements is good."
"Before using Telerik Test Studio, I was a manual tester, so it was my first automation tool, yet I felt very comfortable using it. I've used the record and play feature, and Telerik Test Studio was easy to use. The tool was easy to understand, even for a first-time user like me."
"Has a very smooth process for launching and closing the application after execution."
"The most valuable aspects of the solution are the font, size, and interface."
"The performance and load testing are very good."
"The document understanding is good."
"The detailed logging is invaluable."
"What I like most about UiPath Test Suite is that it's straightforward, and any user who knows how to use the UiPath Studio can learn how to create a test script in as fast as thirty minutes. There's nothing new you must learn to use UiPath Test Suite because it only has three sections: Given, Then, and When."
"Being able to use regular expressions, activities, and attributes is valuable."
"UiPath Test Suite is user-friendly and operates as a low-code platform."
"We are finding bugs and defects much faster."
"We also don't develop test robots like typing codes; we program them with drag-and-drop features."
"We could use it for Oracle and SAP and it did help significantly."

Cons

"I observed that the Excel and Word validation was quite challenging, which is an area for improvement in the tool. I also experienced minor difficulties with Telerik Test Studio, particularly in fetching elements in some scenarios when using C# for coding."
"The charts need to be more detailed and customizable."
"It can be improved by including a feature that allows multiple file types to be selected simultaneously."
"Its UI is not very user-friendly and could be improved. For new users, it isn't easy."
"There are some compatibility issues with the load standpoint test."
"More precise logging would be appreciated."
"Our primary application is built on Windows, so we've faced no significant challenges. However, I think mobile automation is one area where the solution still needs some work."
"The pricing isn't as low as other options."
"UiPath’s Test Suite manual testing doesn’t work for our organization based on how the QA Analysts do their manual testing and the artifacts that are needed for deployment."
"At FORWARD VI, we see new automations being built around AI and the ability to have developers understand how they can drive some of those AI capabilities with Studio. We are starting to see that. They should also drive that with UiPath Test Suite so that we can not only build that development side faster; we can also develop the tests that go along with it, hopefully automatically."
"The test manager component could be improved."
"We are facing problems specifically with Desk Manager."
"Storing the test scripts is what needs to improve in the UiPath Test Suite, as it's currently a challenge to some extent. Maintaining the files is a bit challenging, especially when you need to keep those locally."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is fair so I rate it an eight out of ten."
"I am not aware of the exact cost. It seems reasonable, but it is an additional cost."
"Regarding the pricing model, I believe it would be beneficial to combine it with some of the other platform aspects."
"UiPath Test Suite is a cost-effective solution. Orchestrator is the most expensive UiPath module, costing around $20,000, but you don't need to purchase Orchestrator to use Test Suite. You can buy a nonproductive version that costs about $2,400. It's a better value than other products I've seen."
"The cost of a UiPath Test Suite license for five users is over $10,000 USD."
"When we decided to buy the solution three and a half years ago, it was fairly priced."
"Its price is a bit high."
"I don't necessarily have a problem with the pricing of the UiPath Test Suite, especially because we're using the testing bot licenses as opposed to the unattended licensing."
"I wasn't involved in the negotiations for the UiPath Test Suite, so I have no information on its pricing."
