Improves accuracy and has the easiest interface and good scalability
Orchestrator needs an overhaul. They have added so many functions that it is sometimes quite hard to find the right settings. They have a tree hierarchy with the host and the tenant. Some settings you do on the host, and some settings you do on the tenant. You need to know at which level you are to find what you need. It all looks very same. The other thing that I have been telling them for years is the width of the activity. You cannot change the width. I do a lot of training to show something, and I constantly have to go into the advanced editor to show what is in there, but the big thing right now is Orchestrator.

A stable solution with a comparison feature that helps people to understand and visualize the impact of a particular task
UiPath Process Mining is as lightweight a tool as it is new. It's not able to handle a lot of logs in one go at high speed. The solution's speed is fairly good, but it should be further increased to make it more powerful to process large amounts of logs. Logs should be as much as possible. We have taken one year's and sometimes two years' logs to understand the behavior. We are not here solving small problems because a lot of money is invested. I have observed that handling a large amount of logs slows down the solution's performance. This area is improving because we are now observing a new version of UiPath Process Mining with improved speed. As a developer, I'll be happy to see that happening more quickly, and I am sure the solution is heading there.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"In terms of the ease of building automation, from what I've seen, I'm very impressed. We're using a partner. We built the COE and everything that they're developing right now. Obviously, we're just starting down this path. This means we're going to go work with a partner while we're developing our own guys. We can get to market quicker."
"Is it easy to build automation using UiPath in comparison, to, for example, Blue Prism or Power Automate."
"UiPath saves costs for our customers’ organizations. That would just be the cost savings from RPA bots. I haven't really dug into the cost savings of the ancillary products, however. I know that one of my clients is using the test suite now after I had built a proof of concept for it, and they've fully implemented it. I'm sure there's going to be a lot of cost savings there as well."
"The UiPath Academy was pretty helpful for us in the initial stages."
"The community enables a lot of users to get involved with UiPath. There are many open forums where a number of users share their thoughts."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to utilize UiPath beyond our scheduled work hours, making it available 24 hours a day."
"Transformational processes are well managed, including exceptions, so that adds to the stability. Also, you can scale out from one bot to tens of thousands, so automation is quite easy with UiPath."
"The ability to use APIs within UiPath is really helpful. The web scraping is really great. It's so easy to use, it's very intuitive, and it's usually pretty consistent. When web pages change you need to update it, but it makes it quick. If you need to do another quick process, it's really easy to get it quickly and set something up. I can just scrape data from a website and save it somewhere."
"Installation using the cloud solution is a seamless integration with virtually no installation time involved."
"UiPath Process Mining is really compact, like desktops and desktop automation. It is easy to make and easy to use."
"With Salesforce, you can identify individual tasks that are potentially consuming time within each process. You can see what process you want to automate and which task within a process will give you the most bang for your buck."
"So far, we are just testing it and seeking out use cases, however, so far, it's been an interesting solution to work with."
"I use this solution for product mining and docking."
"The solution is scalable and user-friendly."
"I have never had issues with online technical support."
"What I like about this solution is the way it identifies the process and the transformation from data to some analysis between appliances."

Cons

"Recently we were trying to add AI Fabric into our production Orchestrator, but we faced a lot of challenges. We had to involve the UiPath support team in the upgrading process. We were quick movers to upgrade to AI Fabric, as not many companies have done that. There were some bugs that we discovered during our upgrade journey, and that's how UiPath came to know about those bugs. It was a little bit tricky, but UiPath's team is always present and helps along the journey."
"The combination of Orchestrator and Studio is a bit on the higher side, price-wise, for some companies."
"We use intelligent automation for things like document processing. There is a validation center where the ML model extracts some values, and we can validate if it's correct. That aspect could be improved a little. The percentage of values extracted without validation could be increased. It's currently an attended process, but they should give you the option of making it unattended."
"Studio is a bit overwhelming in the beginning. They could get add some details, but not so many, into the foundation training. I've seen StudioX and loved the colors. Please get the colors into Studio. I loved the flow and that you got all these activities and colors too. It was so much easier. It was visually easier to understand where to click. It was really user-friendly."
"The UiPath community has grown quite a bit, but it's still not on par with the kind of support that you would find with Automation Anywhere. That is still missing because UiPath is a relatively new entrant in the market. The community support is growing, but that is definitely one of the areas that can be improved."
"I would like more flexibility during recording and debugging because currently, when UiPath is in debug mode, we cannot make any changes."
"I have been working on UiPath Apps for the last six months, and there are a few things to improve. The tables are not working properly. There are issues with the table display and the filter function in the tables. There is also an alignment issue. You can't edit the alignment of buttons."
"I would like to see more integration with solutions, like SAP, especially because the biggest companies have a lot of SAP implementations going on. If they would have more packages to support native SAP activities or perform connectivity to some of those SAP clients in transaction codes, it would be awesome."
"It should be more intuitive and easy to work with. There should be more ways of creating filters, and it should be easy to make our own customized dashboards. Currently, if I want to create a dashboard similar to the one we have in AppOne but with different attributes, it is very difficult. There are activities, but I don't want activities. I want other attributes. Its user interface is not very intuitive. You need to play around with it. I have been playing around with the UiPath Process Mining tool for almost two years, and now I feel confident in handling it. It is a difficult tool."
"I was involved in the deployment. It is a bit complex."
"The initial setup can sometimes be a little complicated."
"I think they need to work more on producing low code to make it more end-user-friendly."
"While it is fairly stable, this is something that could be improved."
"The number of file formats that can be uploaded should be increased."
"We faced issues with the data sharding process. UiPath has its own limitations in terms of the number of rules of data it can actually handle at a given point of time."
"What needs improvement in UiPath Process Mining is manual delay support. For example, I have a pending workflow, and I've not taken action in the last five or ten days, and because of this, the whole process gets delayed, but UiPath Process Mining doesn't provide any manual delay insights. It gives about seventy to seventy-five percent detail on end-to-end process delays, the scope of automation, or the gap, but not about the manual delay, so what would make the solution better is if it communicates manual delay information. Every business process relies on human activity, with either approval or review, so UiPath Process Mining should capture that area and provide a workflow or diagram that shows more details, such as the impact of the delay, the workflow time without the human delay, etc. That could be too difficult, but it's what I'm expecting as a customer. More automation in UiPath Process Mining would be great."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price is moderate. It is neither very expensive nor very cheap. Everything is good in terms of pricing."
"UiPath is more expensive than other solutions on the market, such as Microsoft Power Automate."
"We are using the Community Edition. The cost is only that of the virtual machines. The pricing of the Enterprise Edition is a bit high."
"The pricing is transparent, and the best part is that they have the Community version, so there isn't anything to hide. You can try the cloud version. They offer plenty of time, two months, for a trial."
"Before we procured the license, the pricing they quoted was too high. We continued to negotiate for almost a month. This is something they can improve from their side. If they had quoted the right price, we would not have had to negotiate. We got more than a 50% reduction in the price, which is bad on their part."
"UiPath pricing is average."
"I find the licensing structure to be perplexing, and it frequently changes."
"Our client saw ROI after one month. They realized after we showed them the first process that three people would be free to do other stuff."
"The cost of UiPath Process Mining is costly but there are no additional costs in addition to the licensing fee."
"UiPath Process Mining is a bit overpriced for someone considering the solution without knowing for sure whether it will help them."
"UiPath Process Mining is not very expensive, and that is where it beats Celonis."
"The pricing for the product is high. You pay a licensing fee and an additional 20% for support and maintenance."
"The pricing of Process Mining is based on an annual subscription. The final cost per year depends on what clients are able to negotiate with their salesperson."
"The product is affordable. It depends on if you are looking for some capabilities from time to time."
"UiPath's licensing is based on how many documents we process using this solution."
"It is not an expensive product, although the price could be lower."
