Has a lot of use cases, great automation capabilities, and helpful support
I'd rate the initial setup eight out of ten. It's pretty easy to implement. We use Azure Virtual Machines to deploy the robots and usually use a lot of the Azure services in conjunction with the robots. The cloud is on UiPath's automation cloud. That's where we have our servers - to manage the robust deployed data on multiple virtual machines. In terms of maintenance, there are always releases and updates, and then you can usually design your own robots to watch over the other robots, which is really interesting. You have the flexibility to make your own monitoring; if it sees something wrong, you can enter a ticket and then dispatch it to the support team to respond to it. My whole developer team is involved in maintenance; however, I have specific support team members. There's 28 developers and seven support team members in that group.

A stable solution with a comparison feature that helps people to understand and visualize the impact of a particular task
UiPath Process Mining is as lightweight a tool as it is new. It's not able to handle a lot of logs in one go at high speed. The solution's speed is fairly good, but it should be further increased to make it more powerful to process large amounts of logs. Logs should be as much as possible. We have taken one year's and sometimes two years' logs to understand the behavior. We are not here solving small problems because a lot of money is invested. I have observed that handling a large amount of logs slows down the solution's performance. This area is improving because we are now observing a new version of UiPath Process Mining with improved speed. As a developer, I'll be happy to see that happening more quickly, and I am sure the solution is heading there.

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The drag and drop interface of Studio is very valuable as it minimizes the development time."
"UiPath is easy to use without any training. Anyone can use it. There is also great customer support."
"UiPath offers many valuable features, but the most valuable is the accuracy of its workflow process."
"The UiPath Academy is fantastic and amazing. I'm a big promoter of it in my discussions with customers."
"UiPath has freed time for our employees. With the shipping label robot, for example, we basically replaced two jobs and now they're able to do other things. They can take on other more vital responsibilities."
"The processes are accurate. We see very few errors once they are implemented."
"The solution is quick and easy to implement. It's fairly easy, and it means clients don't have to get IT involved."
"The most valuable feature of UiPath is the speed of the implementation."
"I find the root cause analysis and the reference models to be valuable features of UiPath Process Mining."
"We find the solution to be really easy not just for development purposes, but also for its use and ability to be understood."
"Its most valuable features are that it is easy to use and to find people who actually do the UiPath."
"UiPath Process Mining is really compact, like desktops and desktop automation. It is easy to make and easy to use."
"It's very useful in turning raw data into actionable information."
"The visualization part, showing the number of cases processed successfully after a process is executed, is the most valuable. It also showed how effective a bot is after production. This kind of analysis that we got from UiPath Process Mining was good."
"The most valuable feature is that activities are available to us just by clicking the box, so it doesn't require much time to make changes for future requirements."
"The reporting features of ProcessGold are great."

Cons

"The UiPath tool doesn’t provide an option to resize the activities as per wish, especially if the activity is a big box."
"Integration is an area for improvement. I still encounter issues with it, like getting errors when I try to use a connection."
"They can improve integration with other types of systems by giving us more connectors. That would mean UiPath would work natively with more applications. With that done, they will have built a fantastic solution."
"One scenario where it is not great is on remote desktop automation, where applications are not directly accessible."
"Studio is a bit overwhelming in the beginning. They could get add some details, but not so many, into the foundation training. I've seen StudioX and loved the colors. Please get the colors into Studio. I loved the flow and that you got all these activities and colors too. It was so much easier. It was visually easier to understand where to click. It was really user-friendly."
"Studio needs to be more user-friendly, maybe it could be integrated with an AI."
"I would really like the ability to bring OCR connectors into Studio X, if possible. Right now we're only using OCR and Studio as that's where the plugins are available."
"The speed of upgrades is really hard to follow."
"That depends whether I can get the input information to explain why the exceptions are happening. Is it because of different policies or incorrect procedure being applied? If that information would also being integrated as part of it, it would make my life easier."
"The product has to be simplified because there are some facets that are just too complex. It's not easy for everyone to understand. You have to do training on ProcessGold and then you can use it."
"I think they need to look at pricing. Now in the market, there are other process mining applications that are far cheaper."
"I have observed that handling a large amount of logs slows down the solution's performance."
"The interface could be more user-friendly so that it is easier for business people to use."
"UiPath Process Mining is not easy for everyday users."
"Within UiPath, AI Fabric is a valuable feature, but Process Mining can be further improved with AI. AI is booming. Once they improve the AI capabilities, more and more customers will come to UiPath."
"The technical support for UiPath Process Mining needs some improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are different licensing options and you should study which one better suits your company's needs."
"UiPath is slightly more expensive than Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Automate."
"We would like to see improvement around the licensing and multitenancy."
"UiPath's cost is acceptable."
"We would like to see improvement on the ROI, as we need to free up resources. Too many man-hours are being spent on trivial tasks which could be automated."
"The price is high in comparison to Power Platform that Microsoft provides as part of their enterprise license."
"Our licensing costs are roughly 1.1 million Danish krones a year."
"The solution isn't very expensive."
"It is very expensive."
"UiPath's licensing is based on how many documents we process using this solution."
"The pricing is on the higher side."
"UiPath Process Mining has different licensing types for users, developers, end-users, or designers. I don't have the figures, price-wise, but because my company is a UiPath partner, there's some discount offered when you buy in bulk. UiPath provides a good deal if you're a bulk user. UiPath Process Mining gives you value for money compared to some of its competitors in the market."
"UiPath Process Mining is a bit overpriced for someone considering the solution without knowing for sure whether it will help them."
"The setup is very good and explained well. People who are at least accustomed to this automation in UiPath, can read and go through the process without a problem"
"It is not an expensive product, although the price could be lower."
"UiPath Process Mining is not very expensive, and that is where it beats Celonis."
