What is our primary use case?

We are a security solution provider and Sophos Mobile is included in the larger Sophos EDP collection. This is one of the products that we implement for our clients.

This solution is used for both mobile device management and mobile experience management.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the mobile device management capability. You can easily manage all of your mobile devices.

With respect to the security that it provides, so far it has been so good.

On Android devices, the protection and security are quite good.

What needs improvement?

They continue to work on integration with mobile device management and mobile security. They are improving the protection but I think that the capabilities still need to be enhanced.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been dealing with Sophos Mobile for one year.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Being on the cloud, this is a scalable product.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support is good. We expect them to be able to help us resolve issues and it has gone well so far.

How was the initial setup?

The client is installed on a mobile device and then it is centrally managed on the cloud. The installation is straightforward and takes three hours to complete.

What about the implementation team?

We have two admins to manage this solution.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The licensing fees are paid based on a one-year or two-year subscription.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, this is a good product and I recommend it. I don't have any specific recommendations for them to improve upon it.

We use this solution for mobile device cybersecurity purposes.

What is most valuable?

The remote management and cloud-based maintenance features of this solution are very useful for our organization. It's also very user-friendly for staff working on the back-end, and it encompasses all device types.

What needs improvement?

We have experienced issues in updating iOS devices when we set a minimum version requirement policy, and we do not have the option to force automatic installation. As a result, the device must be supervised for updates to be applied and that should be improved. There is also no way to enforce a screen lock on end-user devices which decreases the security level of the device.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been working with this solution for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

We have found this to be an extremely stable solution from a cloud management perspective. However, end users occasionally experience less than smooth security control.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

This is a very scalable solution as it is cloud-based.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support for this solution is very good. If we contact them and they don't have an answer, they always come back to us with a solution within a very short period of time, and they keep us informed through the process.

How was the initial setup?

The initial set up for this solution is very straightforward. It is cloud-based, which means that the product and the management console are available as soon as a license is purchased. As long as the end user has a stable internet connection then it can be deployed to their device remotely in 10 minutes.

What was our ROI?

We have found the ROI from this solution has been a 20% reduction in both time and resource use.

What other advice do I have?

We would recommend this solution for small and medium sized organizations, as the pricing and service is very comprehensive at that scale. Larger organizations may find that the solution cannot meet all of their functional requirements.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

The solution has been scalable for the small companies that have been using it. I do not have customers in large companies to comment further on the scalability. It is best suited for SMB.

We use this solution for mobile device management. 

We use it to control and secure devices. If laptops or our mobile is stolen, and these devices contain company data, we can track them and wipe our data to ensure that it is not in the wrong hands.

Sophos Mobile is a really good product.

It is easy to use.

They always add more features to this product.

The security could be improved. It could be more secure.

It is a cloud-based solution but we can install it. It's similar to an engine, we can install it on a mobile device.

It can be installed for a maximum of two hours.

The price is in the medium range. It is not very high, but it's not low.

It could always be lower.

The licensing is paid on a yearly basis.

I would recommend this solution to others.
