Easy to use with a good UI and excellent scalability
Pros and Cons
  • "The UI is very familiar, which makes it very user-friendly and easy to navigate."
  • "We've been very pleased with its overall capabilities over the time that we have used it."
  • "The stability could be a bit stronger - if they were going to work on any specific aspect."
  • "The stability could be a bit stronger - if they were going to work on any specific aspect."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use the solution for pretty much everything at the company. We use it for a lot of daily routine tasks.

What is most valuable?

Microsoft is a very trusted brand.

The UI is very familiar, which makes it very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

We've found the solution to be quite stable.

The product scales well.

What needs improvement?

I cannot recall the solution having any missing features. We've been happy with its abilities so far. Nothing strikes me as lacking in terms of how it operates.

The stability could be a bit stronger - if they were going to work on any specific aspect.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using the solution for many years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability of the product is very reliable. The performance has been good. We don't deal with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. That said, if they could continue to improve the product in any way, it would be great for them to continue to work on stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of the solution is good. If a company needs to expand it, it can do so easily.

We have five people in our organization currently using the product.

How are customer service and technical support?

I've never directly dealt with technical support. I cannot speak to how helpful or responsive they are.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I do not recall using a different solution before working with Windows 10.

How was the initial setup?

I did not handle the implementation and therefore cannot speak to how easy or difficult it was. I'm unsure as to how long the actual deployment took as I didn't play a role in the process.

What about the implementation team?

There was someone who handled the implementation for me, however, I can't speak to if they were a consultant or integrator.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I cannot speak to the exact licensing costs. It's not an aspect of the solution I directly deal with.

What other advice do I have?

I use the solution both for personal purposes as well as part of my employment duties.

I can't speak to which version of the solution we are using. I can't say if it is the latest or not.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate it as a nine. We've been very pleased with its overall capabilities over the time that we have used it.

I'd recommend the solution to other users and companies.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

A stable and reliable OS
Pros and Cons
  • "Windows 10 is definitely stable."
  • "Windows 10 is definitely stable."
  • "It could benefit from more integration."
  • "There should be better support for SQL servers."

What is our primary use case?

I use it on my laptop. I just use it for home usage — for personal purposes. Our company plans to increase our usage of Windows 10.

What needs improvement?

There should be better support for SQL servers. We haven't started using SQL yet, but when we do, we'll need proper support.

Also, it could benefit from more integration.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for one year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Windows 10 is definitely stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I haven't tried to scale it so I cannot comment on that.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have never had to contact support for this solution.

How was the initial setup?

I didn't install it myself; it came pre-installed on my laptop.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend Windows 10 to others. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Windows 10 a rating of eight.

Easy to set up with good technical support and excellent scalability

  • "The solution is very user-friendly and extremely easy to use."
  • "The solution could always be more secure, even though I am quite happy with its level of security at the moment."
  • "The solution could always be more secure, even though I am quite happy with its level of security at the moment."

What is our primary use case?

The product is basically used to run all of your products. It's an operating system. It's the platform of my choice, and I've never used any other OS. I'd describe its use as basically a facilitator of all the platforms that I work with.

What is most valuable?

The solution is very user-friendly and extremely easy to use. It's intuitive and easy.

The scalability of the product is excellent.

Technical support is available 24/7 and we find them to be helpful.

It's easy to install the solution.

What needs improvement?

The solution could always be more secure, even though I am quite happy with its level of security at the moment.

For how long have I used the solution?

We've been using the solution for more than five years at this point. We started using the solution around the time it first came out. It's been a while.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of the product is excellent. If a company needs to expand it, it can do so. It's relatively easy to do.

Pretty much everyone at our organization uses it. It's fairly widespread.

How are customer service and technical support?

We've dealt with technical support in the past. We don't have one-on-one support, however, they are online all the time, allowing you to connect 24/7. We have found them to be helpful and responsive and we are satisfied with the level of service that is provided to us.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used another solution. This is the only OS that I have experience with.

How was the initial setup?

The installation is not overly complex or difficult. It's quite simple and very straightforward.

The deployment is relatively quick. The installation only takes maybe two to three hours.

What about the implementation team?

I'm able to handle the installation process myself. It's not difficult. I didn't need to enlist the assistance of a consultant or integrator, for example.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

You do need to purchase a license from Microsoft. We paid for it just once, and not monthly or yearly. I can't speak to the exact price that we pay.

What other advice do I have?

We're using the latest version of the solution. It gets updates directly from Microsoft.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. I've been quite happy with its capabilities.

I'd recommend it to other users and other organizations.

A stable and reliable operating system
Pros and Cons
  • "The latest laptop I've got can turn into a tablet. Windows automatically changes to a tablet view — that's been a pretty good feature."
  • "I would recommend Windows 10 to others."
  • "Stability-wise, it's okay. Sometimes my laptop slows down when I have a lot of applications open, but this could be a laptop issue rather than a Windows 10 issue."
  • "Stability-wise, it's okay. Sometimes my laptop slows down when I have a lot of applications open, but this could be a laptop issue rather than a Windows 10 issue."

What is our primary use case?

I use this solution for general email processing, communication, and collaboration tools like Teams, etc. I am an IT consultant — we all use Windows 10, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.

What is most valuable?

Just the general ability to run programs has been nice. There isn't anything in particular that jumps out.

The latest laptop I've got can turn into a tablet. Windows automatically changes to a tablet view — that's been a pretty good feature.

As the security patches are pushed out by our IT, I don't even notice when there's a new upgrade required. With the previous versions, you always had to restart your machine quite often in order to perform an upgrade. I don't really notice that so much now.

What needs improvement?

As far as improvement is concerned, nothing particularly comes to mind. It generally works quite well.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 since it was released.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Stability-wise, it's okay. Sometimes my laptop slows down when I have a lot of applications open, but this could be a laptop issue rather than a Windows 10 issue.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have never had to contact technical support.

How was the initial setup?

Windows 10 was already incorporated into my computer when I bought it. All I had to do was enter my work email address and then it automatically did the rest.

The initial configuration probably takes less than an hour. In the background, it continues to pull more and more data and information through.

Other than any patches that are required, I don't believe there is any maintenance required — not that I'm aware of.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend Windows 10 to others. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Windows 10 a rating of ten.

A scalable and stable solution that's been around for a long time
Pros and Cons
  • "Windows 10 has a convenient user interface."
  • "Windows 10 has a convenient user interface."
  • "The overall performance could be improved — it loads slowly at times."
  • "The overall performance could be improved — it loads slowly at times."

What is our primary use case?

As a manager, I use Windows 10 daily. We also use Windows Excel and PowerPoint. We mainly use Windows 10 for email-related needs. We also use Microsoft Windows code to do some technical programming.

Within our organization, there are roughly six to seven thousand employees using Windows 10.

We will definitely continue to use Windows 10.

What is most valuable?

Windows 10 has a convenient user interface. Windows has been around for a long time so we're well aware of the features it offers and how to use them properly. From this perspective, it's convenient for me.

What needs improvement?

The overall performance could be improved — it loads slowly at times.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Windows 10 for seven to eight years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It didn't use to be stable, but nowadays, it is. Still, it could always be more stable.

How are customer service and technical support?

I have never had to contact support relating to Windows 10.

How was the initial setup?

The installation process is straightforward. It pretty much installs automatically.

What about the implementation team?

We installed it ourselves.

What other advice do I have?

Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give Windows 10 a rating of eight.

I would recommend Windows 10 to others. We use Windows 10 because we were mandated to by our organization. Whether they are capable or not, it doesn't really matter. You'll have to use it because it has been mandated by your organization.
