I'm not 100% sure as I do not run a xp24000. But, Remote Copy is a feature
a lot of SANs support and since they are both HP products. I'm sure there
is some way of replication available between the two.

Hello,
3PAR (now StoreServ) remote copy can only be done between other StoreServ Arrays.
Replication to an XP needs be set up in the OS layer like VMware, Linux, etc.
No not natively, the XP can do external storage but not with long distances. There is software that will replicate from unlike storage but that would be with a non HPE product.

From what I read, the short answer is no. Here is some documentation that supports that answer. You may want to post on an HP storage forum, or reach out to HP support or Partner.

The answer is NO. You can make hardware remote replication only between similar subsystem. However you may use 3rd party external device asynchronous remote copy.
Unless HPE did something behind the scenes I do not know about...no it wont. In fact, most vendors don't support replication to another vendor. HPE does have an import tool called Peer Motion if you are looking to import data from the HDS (XP). Just have to make sure you check compatibility.
Other than that, if you are virtual, use the hypervisor's products to move the data seamlessly.

It could be possible, but I doubt it, especially considering the age of the XP line of arrays. I’ve never given it a shot. HP have means to migrate off the EVA line and other 3PAR products to 3PAR, but I’ve not seen one for the XP line. Your account manager should be able to provide further guidance, if necessary.

HPE StoreServ cannot replicate natively to XP, no. Host-level migration
using tools such as VSphere Storage vMotion, Vision DoubleTake, etc can be
done. HPE StoreServ supports Online Import *from* a number of other
products (HP EVA, several EMC and HDS products, more on roadmap).

HPE 3PAR Remote Copy software is unique to HPE 3PAR StoreServ and is supported on all HPE 3PAR StoreServ scalable arrays (both high-end and mid-range).
Remote copy link is not possible to XP24000 as an RC target.

No, the 3PAR Remote Copy software cannot be logically connected to XP24000 Continuous Access software. You would need to employ a host-based copy utility at the filesystem level.
HPE 3PAR StoreServ is an AI-driven storage solution that prevents issues before they occur by learning and adjusting in real time. The solution offers a tier-1 all-flash foundation for mission-critical workloads. HPE 3PAR StoreServ was designed with more than 3M IOPS and consistent sub-ms latency. It aims to transform midrange and enterprise deployments with solutions that scale from a few TBs to more than 20PBs. In addition, the solution is built to modernize data centers and is made to...

No. Remote Copy is 3PAR-to-3PAR only.
HI
A 3PAR system can’t do remote copy to any other platform than 3PAR systems. But you can do remote copy between different 3PAR systems models.

No. You would need an mpx router or do it in software.

NO HPE 3PAR Remote Copy cannot replicate to XP24000.
No
This can be done with host based replication or mirroring but not with 3PAR Remote Copy
No
No. Not using Remote Copy, there are 3rd party solutions that could make it work, but generally speaking it is like for like on replication.
Hi,
you can't replicate with remote copy to XP24000, you can go for
Multifuntion router to perform cross model replications.

Also, in case if you are looking for migration purpose, you can try online
import method to migrate data from XP24K to 3PAR which is pretty much easy.
There is not native replication between 3Par and XP24000

Is not supported. Check some peculiarities related to Remote Copy version in the HPE 3PAR OS 3.2.2 release above.
Not natively. It would require some type of software based replication.

Yes you can do a remote replication using 3pars replication software.

No. 3PAR can only replicate on 3PAR if we talk about Hardware
now we can add a software such Double Take to do it

AS I known, XP is OEM HDS , so 3PAR can’t support remote copy to XP24000
No
No, it is totally differnet product from 3PAR.
Basically, that is rebranded Hitachi storage-XP24000
No, sorry. You could potentially use online import to assist migrating from XP to 3PAR. www8.hp.com

No, because XP24000 is Hitachi array. Replication from 3PAR only supported to 3PAR array
No because Xp equipments are HDS orm storages
