The email policy configuration options in Microsoft EOP are satisfactory. I recommend it to any user who wants to use Microsoft. I rate it a ten out of ten.
To use it effectively, one would need to purchase a dedicated email security solution. Microsoft does offer its own email security policies but lacks some features like a comprehensive dashboard. It's advisable to opt for a third-party solution that provides dedicated and robust email security. Overall, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.

I will recommend the tool to others. We have two types of customers. One set of customers only uses the basic suite. We do not recommend the tool to them unless they require it because it will be expensive for them. Another set of customers are Microsoft 365 E3 or Business Premium users. For them, Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is an in-built solution. We configure Microsoft 365 and provide Microsoft Exchange Online Protection as an add-on product. We are considering selling the tool separately. We have recently tied up with Fortinet. We are exploring our options. It will take some time. I am exploring other options because we have only used Microsoft Exchange Online Protection till now. We are a Microsoft shop. We haven’t explored other providers before. We did a project for a PCI DSS audit using Microsoft Stack. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten.
I would recommend the solution to others. If we use the product, we will not have any dependency on the on-premise solution, and we can work seamlessly from anywhere. Overall, I rate the tool a nine out of ten.
Earlier, we had Microsoft Exchange on-prem and then moved to 365. I recommend the solution to other users because it is easy to start a business. I rate it a five out of ten.

The maintenance of the solution is neither too easy nor too difficult. The maintenance is not so easy because what tends to happen is things get set up, and those decisions don't get revisited regularly. There needs to be some process where the settings, decisions, and configurations get reviewed to determine whether they still meet the company's clients' needs regularly. The solution can be more beneficial for medium and large-sized businesses compared to the smaller ones. I rate the overall solution a six out of ten.
I would rate it nine out of ten because of its widespread usage and trust in the market at the enterprise level. Microsoft products, especially Exchange, are widely used and trusted. They have a significant presence, capturing a major share of the enterprise market. All their applications are widely used, whether it's for emails, databases, SQL, backups with OneDrive, cloud storage, or SharePoint, and more. They offer a suite of products for office tools. So, these are the commonly used tools in any organization, be it medium-sized, small, or even a small retailer. Given this, I would rate them a nine or ten because of their extensive market share, both globally and locally. Microsoft's dependability and trust are a result of its long-standing presence in the industry. They've been in business for a significant amount of time.

At times, when we are doing URL whitelisting, we raise it to the support, and Microsoft removes one feature of whitelisting. Overall, I rate Microsoft Exchange Online Protection a nine out of ten.
I am satisfied with the overall product. It wasn't easy or intuitive enough for me to start using it. So, the reason was that the solution changed. I started to work with it shortly after it changed from the servers and changed to another part of Azure network. It was not quite easy, but it was okay for me since I'm used to such problems and switching over to other problems. Our team was responsible for everything in our company, but since I started using Microsoft Exchange Online Protection, it's much easier for me as an administrator. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten.

If you're looking for recommendations, I suggest selecting the standard or strict settings provided by Microsoft for configuring Microsoft Exchange Online Protection. You can start with the standard settings and gradually increase the blocking and other settings such as spam confidence level based on your experience over time. It's important to keep in mind that further tuning may be required based on false positives and other factors, which will require manual adjustments based on experience. This configuration process is not a one-time setup and will evolve based on your customer experience. I rate Microsoft Exchange Online Protection a nine out of ten.
In my experience, everyone is using Azure or solutions from Microsoft. Word, Excel, and Outlook are present for a majority of companies. There is very little on the Google platform for email. The solution's discussion is more about budget and whether you are going to choose the on-premises or the cloud version. Microsoft is huge and a top-three vendor that really only competes with AWS and maybe Oracle. Certain features like scalability really are not relevant because the company's reputation is more than enough. Age in the market and investments in security are more important. You can rest assured that Microsoft has a particular team dedicated to each feature or issue. They are always improving and always delivering. Certain features of the solution will be valuable based on your role. For example, I am part of the security team so threat management is interesting to me. An an engineer or email team might be more interested in policies, configuration, or the administrative exchange. Nothing is perfect but the solution is very good. When you don't have opponents, it is easier to achieve a good rating. I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
We have a partnership with Microsoft. I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using. If a company wanted to use this solution, I would advise them to check their mailboxes and consider what functionalities they want to have. When they move to Exchange Online Protection, it has got all the functionalities, anti-malware, anti-phishing, et cetera, and all those features are definitely available. And if they want something user-friendly, it is definitely there. It can also be deployed quickly, so that's one of the core advantages of having the Microsoft product. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. The simplicity and the easy deployment ensure that anybody who has worked on Exchange can easily work on this. There's no specific training needed to get started. And, with a basic E3 license, they get Exchange Online Protection. It's just missing granularity.
We would advise organizations who wish to build customized policies that this will increase the implementation time for this solution. We would also advise organizations to carry out extensive testing before implementing this solution; this will ensure that it is set up exactly the way that they need it to be. I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.
There are three thousand users of Microsoft Exchange Online Protection in our company. There is no plan to increase the number of users, at least not in the near future. Microsoft Exchange Online Protection is quite a difficult product. I would recommend it because it's a good product. My advice to others looking into using it is to make sure their rules are configured correctly, and they have turned on all the necessary features. I'm rating Microsoft Exchange Online Protection eight out of ten.
If you're interested in using this solution, make sure you understand the technical requirements and deploy it somewhere where it will have access both inside and outside that it needs. Inside, it needs to see the mail stores, and outside it needs to be able to download the packages that it needs to provide the spam and anti-virus filtering with protection. Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of ten.
