Microsoft Project Server is a powerful tool I've used for years. However, development is moving towards the cloud version. There might be potential for a hybrid approach that combines desktop capabilities with cloud features. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
One or two people are doing the maintenance. First, get Microsoft's top 25 partners in Microsoft Project Server to gain access. You need to understand your requirements, prioritize, and implement them to address the most critical requirements first, followed by additional requirements. We need to ensure that all necessary add-ons are available on a certain project. If you don't have the required add-ons, the project management tool may not fulfill the requirements. We can consider using tools like Milestone, which requires an additional budget allocation, to create an executive dashboard for managing a portfolio of projects. Microsoft Project Server doesn't incorporate certain teams and lacks integration with project management and collaboration. Real-time updates are not seamlessly facilitated when multiple people work on the same task. Thus, it falls short in terms of providing comprehensive project management solutions. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
Some tools are quite difficult to deal with. We have to remember the codes to learn SAP. Around 55% of the industry uses Microsoft Project Server as a project management tool. I will definitely recommend the product to others. It is one of the best tools someone can have in the construction industry. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

For scheduling and resource management of our company's projects, we use JIRA and Microsoft Project Server. The reporting and analytics part of the product is very good. The integration capability of Microsoft Project Server is phenomenal, and it serves as one of the reasons why the product has been holding up in a good way till now in the market. For certain use cases, Microsoft Project Server is a good product. I would recommend the product to others who plan to use it since it is good when it comes to analytics and reporting. The value or positive impact of the use of the product stems from the fact that it degrees with other products like Office 365 and other Microsoft solutions. Microsoft Project Server has been in the market for a long time. Over a period of time, I have seen a lot of features introduced in Microsoft Project Server. I believe that the product still has room for improvement. I rate the overall tool an eight out of ten.

For those looking to work in real-time and seeking a faster and more accessible project management solution, I strongly recommend considering top project management software. Opting for cloud-based solutions with features for both project and portfolio management is crucial. There are several options available, such as monday.com and Asana, and even tools like Trello and others. Overall, I would rate it four out of ten.
I would recommend it to other users and would rate it an eight out of 10. The primary and crucial step is for them to identify their requirements, including the specific software needs and how it aligns with their goals as an organization. They should consider what benefits they aim to achieve with this solution. Another key aspect is to offer training and capacity-building to enable technical support for addressing any minimal support requirements effectively.
We use the latest version of Microsoft Project Server. Mostly, every resource in my company has a project on Microsoft Project Server. Most of our resources use the online version of the solution, while some use the desktop version. I would recommend Microsoft Project Server to other users. Overall, I rate Microsoft Project Server a nine out of ten.
There should be significant organizational changes that are necessary to implement it. It should be more about the internal organizational interest of your company for the successful implementation of Microsoft Project Server. Overall, I would rate it a nine out of ten.
I am not using the latest version. I'm on the 2017 version. If you have a Microsoft environment and aren't working on too complex a project, it is quite good and a solution. I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
The solution can be very slow. Sometimes, it takes minutes to open a page that shares the dashboards. In addition, there is no training material and there needs to be more awareness training. There's no online help to aid users through the process. The first thing I would say to anyone trying to use this solution is that you need to understand its capabilities and functionalities before trying to use it. If you are not aware of the capabilities and features, you are using a Bugatti like a normal car. You need to get the right training and educate all of the project managers on how they can utilize the main functionality and services of the solution. Overall, I would rate this solution a seven, on a scale from one to 10, with one being the worst and 10 being the best.

Microsoft Project Server is more suitable to small, medium size businesses instead of enterprises. I would advise others to work with a project management consultant as it is not that easy to integrate within a company. I would rate this solution a five out of ten.

I noticed recently there are lots of new solutions coming out, but I don't know if they offer solutions that are more for agile product management. This would be a benefit if there were. I rate Microsoft Project Server an eight out of ten.

The biggest item of advice would be to really understand your business and what your real needs are and then compare Microsoft Project Server or Project Online to some of the other offerings out there. If you are going to be in a more robust and complicated set of project processes, Project Server is probably a very good fit for you. If you're only into lightweight project management, it may be a little bit overkill. I'm still trying to get a feel of the overall functionality of Project Online. We are going to be putting an add-on product on top of it to kind of fill in some of the gaps. Currently, I'm going to rate it an eight out of 10.
We are simply a customer and an end-user. Although we began with the on-premises version, we've recently started using the online version of the solution. That is primarily how we access it now. From an advice perspective, for any enterprise that has an existing investment around Microsoft, it makes more sense in terms of moving to a Project Server to manage in a more structured way. However, if you do not use SharePoint, if you do not use Microsoft Teams or any sort of solution that is the real value of Project Server it's not necessary to use Project Server. This solution is best for those companies planning to have a commitment to Microsoft technology. It brings more value. I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. It's lacking some features around budget cost and portfolio management. There are a few areas that could use improvement still.
I'm not just a user, I implement solutions. We are Microsoft partners. I develop the solution from infrastructure to power bi reports. User experience, customization, and reporting. In Turkey, especially governmental agencies, they don't want to be on the cloud. So all the environments I manage, they're on-prem. Overall, I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're mostly happy with the product.

I don't have experience with other project management tools. Maybe there are some better solutions, however, I'm not sure what those solutions are. I would recommend Microsoft Project to other organizations. In general, I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We've been largely happy with the product.
We are Microsoft Partners. Currently, I am using Project Online and Project Server. The 2015 versions. At the moment, I am in the process of deploying, the solution in more areas. I start with IT projects and telecom projects. Currently, I am working to introduce regular projects, marketing projects, product projects, etc. I am working to introduce more areas in the Project Server environment. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate it at an eight.

It seems to me that it is the standard for doing project scheduling, which is a shame. It should be used for more. You should be able to do more things with it because now it is not enough for people to just build a schedule and then use something else to do your daily planning. I used to work for Microsoft, so I know how these things were built. I know some of the issues they have. It seems to me that it is a product that was built on its own. It is very standalone, and it hasn't been incorporated into the Office suite or other things that Microsoft products do. For example, we work a lot with Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams would be a nice front end to an MS Project. I would rate Microsoft Project Server an eight out of ten.

I think this solution is a more scalable, so people now will start believing that Microsoft can also be used. The comfort of using Microsoft products, which is likely for most of the clients, is that they use Microsoft Office as their primary word processing or data processing tool. I think people have their trust in the Microsoft product line, so I think it's good to give them something because I think it's easier for them to adopt and implement.

It's a good solution but it does have limitations, as I said: The real-time interactions with the user are absent. That is the only issue that I would mention. Otherwise, I would recommend it. The most important criteria when selecting a vendor are that the product has to meet the budget. It has to be something we are able to afford and also it should address our specific needs. I would rate it at seven out of 10 because it meets most of our requirements. And judging from the stakeholder's response, they are pretty happy with what we have been giving them as presentations.
