There is a free evaluation option. Take it and try it out. It's easy to slip into your network and see how it works before you buy it. The support team is there to help you everywhere in between. Try before you buy. That's the best advice that I can give, and chances are you'll like it. We are currently not using the geo-blocking feature because we are receiving our email through a smart host, where all the emails are filtered through the government to us. It only appears as one geo-location. Another reason why we decided to go with this kind of appliance or virtual appliance was that we're moving away from that platform, and we'll be wide open to the internet, and we didn't want our Exchange Server completely exposed. Within about two months, this system will be handling all External emails from across the world, and we will be geoblocking some countries known to be big malicious users. I would rate it a nine out of ten. It does its job, and it allows me to pivot in ways that I didn't think I needed to before. If I cared more about the looks, I'd probably give it a seven, but in terms of functionality and how it works, I don't have a problem with it. It works really well.
I rate TitanHQ SpamTitan eight out of 10. When you deploy SpamTitan you should consider the filter sensitivity and how strict you want it to be. That may need to be tweaked with each individual organization. SpamTitan gives you a baseline of sensitivity to start with, and that number may need to be adjusted for your organization.

I can't imagine any way, given my needs, that there could be improvement in the solution. I know companies try to find additional things that people need so that they can provide more value in their products, and SpamTitan has been actively doing that since I got on board with them. Most of the areas that they've changed were augmentations that other people needed but they were beyond what I needed. There is a lot of stuff that's really cool. When I log in to the interface, it allows me to log in on three different levels: domain administrator, group administrator, or as a regular user. So they have even optimized the login process. There is functionality for giving other people different roles, but I really don't have the need, because I have a one-person business. I would recommend to everybody that they use this solution. If they have a need that is similar to my need, then I would tell them, "Hey, this is the company to use, period." I've never given them a rating of less than 10 out of 10. They're just that good.
It is a great product for the price point that you are getting. It has a fantastic value. I would highly recommend it. SpamTitan is an eight. It is very good. There are small points that they could improve, but they are good at what they do.

I'm not sure if it does a great job in terms of false positives, but it's easy to remedy if there are any. It doesn't happen that often, but I don't know if that's due to our users not going outside of our ecosystem that much, or something else. But, at least in the report section, you can see what the email scored, and that can give you an idea of why it was flagged. It can be a little bit annoying to the user, at times, because they have to take another step to get some of their emails. But they understand the importance of the solution. There are a few hindrances now and then, but for the most part, it's very good. It's a great first security gateway to try out, unless you know what you want, especially if cost is a factor.

My advice would be to watch your domain reputation score. That can be a little bit odd and a little bit finicky at times. Other than that, pull the trigger and go for it. It is easy and safe. I give the solution a 10 out of 10. I've never had a problem with it to this day. When my owners come to me and say, "Hey, can we cut costs?" I'll say, "We can." If they say, "What about SpamTitan?" my answer is "Nope." Then I show them the reports and they'll say, "Yep, we're not getting rid of it." It sells itself. It's very easy to prove its worth and that is very beneficial for me.

I have recommended SpamTitan to six or seven companies who have been using it for several years. They have been very happy with it. We are not yet using the geo-blocking feature. I would rate SpamTitan as nine out of 10. However, four years ago, I would have rated it as 10 out of 10. No spam was getting through four years ago. Now, a lot of phishing emails are getting through. The solution should be more precise on phishing emails.
I would rate this solution a nine out of ten. All of our emails go through SpamTitan, so there isn't scope for us to increase our use. I would advise anyone to implement this solution, it's so straightforward, and we have never had a problem with it.

I'd give SpamTitan a solid eight out of 10. It's an excellent product at a reasonable price. If you need spam protection, I think it's a good value. It's pretty easy to use, but there are a few things I'd like to see, like a new GUI on the control panel and an updated authentication system. Aside from that, SpamTitan does its job well. There's always room for improvement. I only take two points off because no product is ever perfect. I can't even think of a product that would get a perfect 10 from me off the top of my head except for maybe an Eddie Van Halen 5150. That was perfect.
You need to have some networking knowledge for the ability to deploy it. You also have to understand the environment itself. Once you get in there and get going, it works very well. For me, it was actually fairly easy to understand. When we first deployed it, their consultant Patrick was very helpful in not just deploying it but also understanding how it works. I would rate it a ten out of ten, especially after I've seen Barracuda.
I would recommend at least checking out SpamTitan because it has been really good for me. I am pretty happy with the user interface experience of SpamTitan. I felt like it was pretty easy to get in, navigate, and figure it out. Some of my less computer-experienced employees had a little trouble. However, after a little training, they got it figured out. It helped me solidify my policy about emails and such because clearly I hadn't been training the person who opened the phishing email that almost put me out of business. Once I had SpamTitan in place, I could put together a policy and get them trained on how to use SpamTitan so they were overly more aware of the dangers that a computer could bring into an office. We had to let people know that I didn't want them checking their Gmail or any other accounts with their office computers because it wouldn't have the SpamTitan protection. I would rate them as nine (out of 10). It is a good value for the price.
SpamTitan has helped improve my spam catch rate and reduce my false positive rate amongst the services that I use. For example, I use a firewall and most clients scan files, attachments, and data coming in and out. I don't use just one solution, but many different ones, so there is overlap. I tell someone looking into this solution that it has a series of different security functions or features, then I inform them of other options out there. Don't always assume that it does what you think it does. Clarify and ask questions. Ask if it can do other things besides the things that it currently does. I would rate the solution as seven and a half out of 10.

Don't discount TitanHQ because you haven't heard of them. I sit with other CISOs. We get together for dinner once a month and talk and I mentioned it but nobody had heard of them. I said, "SpamTitan has this and this feature," and I delved into some of the reasons we went with it and they were taking notes. They're excited to look at something recommended by a peer who is saying, "I've used multiple products and I like the way that these guys work. I like what they're doing and how we're stacking up our security." TitanHQ recently acquired Cyber Risk Aware for security awareness training with phishing simulation. I mentioned that it makes sense because you could tie that into your SpamTitan and WebTitan. Your training could be based upon real metrics, in real-time, based on what people are doing. That's a very good, competitive place to be. I look forward to their growth. When I mentioned those things my colleagues were saying, "Wow, this sounds like a company we need to really seriously take a look at." My approach is to leverage things that make sense, not because they're there. I always look at: Why? Where are we going? How do we get there? Then we can decide whether that's the right type of product or service to use going forward. We have different outcomes than we would get if we did what most people do. They say, "Well, how do we improve what we've got?" Maybe what you have doesn't fit anymore. We also use TitanHQ's WebTitan. We just rolled that out to replace Cisco Umbrella and because the interface is very similar to SpamTitan's interface, it was very easy to roll that forward and to manage it. So far, SpamTitan is the easiest and most efficient solution I've used. I give it a 10 out of 10.
I'd advise those considering the solution to go for it. I felt a little iffy at first that they're not based in my area. I took a chance on them and I'm extremely happy. I'd rate the solution a nine out of ten. If they were actually able to catch the people sending the spam, I'd give them a perfect ten.
I would say that you will be very happy with this company, we are.
The product works very well and has many controls but it's also easy to get around in. It has made our life much easier to manage what we need to manage
The one thing that sets Titan aside from all the other companies that we have dealt with over the years is the fact that they now have a customer relations person or group that allows you to have a voice in the company.
Most companies if you are not happy or need to communicate something to them, you have no avenue to do so. This customer relations position at Titan gets any department involved that needs to be and to me, this position is very important and is one of the main reasons that I'm taking the time to write this.
Before jumping into using the product, I would advise that you research other products as SpamTitan's features are mostly required for businesses at the moment. I would rate the solution as 10 out of 10.

We don't currently use the geo-blocking feature, but we might. We've got a bigger-picture issue going on due to the fact that we've become a completely remote office, so that might well come into play. We still do have to look at spam emails because there's an awful lot of junk that comes to SpamTitan, and we have to decide whether or not we want it. But because it's all in the solution's quarantine report, rather than in our inboxes, the spam is in its own space where it can be looked at. I would definitely recommend it, particularly in our scenario where we're not a large corporation with a whole IT department. It's a good product and I think it's definitely solving an issue that we would have if we didn't have this solution.
When I am talking to a client, I tell them we will be using SpamTitan. If they are a big company and require that their mail gets archived, then I also tell them about ArcTitan. If you are starting off, do not worry because TitanHQ will help you set it up. Once it is there, if you have never used one before, it is no big deal. Once set up, you can look at it and read about it. You can see how it all works together. You get to see the movement of everything happening. You will soon understand it. It is not hard. It does have a lot of granular stuff, but only when you want to get into that does it matter. When you look at it, you get to understand it. It is like putting the furniture in the room is much easier to understand than when you are trying to picture it when there is nothing there. For anybody who demands high-end control, I don't know what is not there. Everything seems to be all in place. I know that they are now using the new technology that is coming out, e.g., where you have the AI do some stuff. You have some heavy-duty professionals running a global company to try and protect it and all these people. It makes me feel good that somebody big enough is doing this and they just don't hang their coat on the spam mail. They are doing archiving, where you have to understand another process - mail servers. They are also doing the web side of things. I would rate them as nine out of 10. The only reason that I am not giving 10 is because two years ago I would have given them a lower rating for being siloed. Since Emma has bridged all their departments for us, that has changed and been turned around.

Definitely go for it. It will make your end users feel a lot happier because they can manage their own quarantines, allow lists, and block lists. At the same time, knowing that you have your own private cloud that you can manage yourself makes it a great solution for those who want to have full administrative access to their own system. I would give the solution a solid nine out of 10. I would almost give it a 10. Frankly, it has been an extremely good solution for us as an organization. However, I am not normally one to give a score of 10. There is always some sort of room for improvement, but this solution is a high nine in my opinion.

We are wanting to change from this solution to a different one. I would recommend spending the extra money on a good solution, it will save you from having issues later. I rate TitanHQ SpamTitan a six out of ten.

SpamTitan uses the most intuitive AI-driven threat protection to keep users' networks safe and secure at all times.

The biggest lesson I've learned from using the solution is that there are a lot of nasty emails out there.
We are wanting to change from this solution to a different one. I would recommend spending the extra money on a good solution, it will save you from having issues later. I rate TitanHQ SpamTitan a six out of ten.
