Regarding the price, I feel the price is a bit high. If you compare it to another competitor that is there in the market which is dominating, that is ServiceNow SAM Pro. ServiceNow SAM Pro has a lot of drawbacks when I compare it to Flexera One in terms of SAM. However, just because of the pricing and the reason that it has all other IT asset management modules at one place, it is becoming quite popular. Consultants are facing various challenges while working on ServiceNow SAM modules. Flexera One is far better than that, but the cost is there.
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is good overall, but the costs are relatively high. Simplifying the pricing model and reducing the implementation timeline would help.

The setup cost has changed a lot over the years, and I have not been involved with the pricing for six years. In the beginning, when I first became involved with it, I thought some of the pricing was a bit high. They've restructured how it's licensed, making it more fair.
Based on the enterprise-level packages that my company purchases, I can say that from a price perspective, you can go for FlexNet Manager if you have a very small environment. ServiceNow is better if you have a large environment with a huge number of users.
In the Indian market, only a few companies have adopted Flexera, mainly because of its expense. Cost is a significant consideration, but in terms of software asset management effectiveness, Flexera stands out as a top choice, surpassing other tools in my experience. I would give it a nine out of ten in terms of costliness.

We got a deal long ago, only in maintenance mode. It's pricey for maintenance, but it's worth it. You get what you pay for.
It was certainly on a par with the price we were paying for Snow License Manager. It wasn't overly expensive.
The subscription-based model would be best for a medium and small organisation.
