In our organization, we use Microsoft Exchange Online to send and receive emails, schedule meetings and appointments, manage calendars, book rooms, and manage resources. It's an essential tool for us. We implemented Exchange Online to support our users by managing licenses and creating new mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, M365 groups, and security groups. It also helps us manage calendar permissions and other tasks.
Microsoft Exchange Online serves as a unique platform for us. We use it to receive and send emails within our organization and to others. We use it in conjunction with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, leveraging the comprehensive capabilities of Microsoft 365.
I work for civil ministries, and we exclusively use Microsoft products because we get them for a low price. I handle security with Fortinet, and I run virtualization with Citrix. Those are my main tasks.
The product is used to create email addresses. We can also create groups and distribution lists. The product also provides email forwarding features. We can create rules, monitor the flow of emails, and trace messages. We can use connectors on the platform for email security and email signature.
The solution is basically for access and it provides the ability to just receive and send emails. It also works with calendars and contacts and all of that.
Our company used the solution as an alternative to desktops for accessing emails remotely. It is a front-end email application that can be accessed from the web. The solution allowed us to create new emails, collaborate via online surveys, and get feedback from a group of engineers on a specific items. We had 2,000 users across our company. The solution more or less is an online collaboration tool.
Microsoft Exchange Online is used for emails and it does a fantastic job. The only reason why you would choose an online solution is the company that you're working at is they do not want to have an onsite server. The companies that want something on-site would choose the on-premise version.

I cannot put everything on 365 because it's obviously not as fast. We have Microsoft Exchange because we have a lot of emails. Most of our emails, about 80%, are on Exchange Server locally, and just 20% are on 365. We use Microsoft Exchange as a hybrid solution. The users who are accessing from outside and the users who are on our priority list outside of the organization are on 365. But the other people that are local are on Exchange Server. There are more than 200 people using this solution in my organization.
We use Microsoft Exchange for sending emails and running calendars. With the calendars, we are able to check other people's calendars and be sure of their availability so that they can deploy solutions. That's what we normally use it for.
