What is your primary use case for Sophos UTM?

The primary use case for the solution is as a perimeter protection firewall, which includes functionalities such as VPN, web control, and traffic inspection. It is used in various customer environments, providing comprehensive security management and network protection.

We use Sophos UTM for our organization's network security.

My company deals with eight clients who use Sophos UTM. My company's clients mainly use Sophos UTM for protection against threats and for other purposes like content filtering, web filtering, and VPNs.

Sophos UTM offers considerable protection and employs a very well-structured pricing scheme. It's a good choice for businesses that need a basic security solution with a good price-performance ratio. However, it's not a good choice for businesses that need a complex security solution. That's why I'm also considering Fortinet, which can provide a more comprehensive security solution.

It is used to protect the servers. It is a very transparent solution.

There are multiple use cases, and a few examples would be its use in the education, banking, or financial sectors. There are so many other locations and sectors where they deploy this solution.

Our company is a partner and reseller of the solution. We lease, sell, and license boxes for our clients. Use cases are rather unique and not uniform. We provide support for a few SMBs around the country. Some customers are heavy users, with involved configurations, and the setup may include high availability configured with two boxes. Others use it as just a gateway between their infrastructure and the internet with very simple configurations that don't include web filtering. Active directory integration domain is used for some, but not all customers. Common items include DNATs and SSL VPN. Most customers use VPNs, and site-to-site connections (REDs or IPsec). We also use virtualized UTMs for LABs.

This is a next-generation firewall. I use it for mail security for clients.

We use all features of Sophos UTM, for example, application control and URL filtering.

Most of our clients use Sophos UTM as a perimeter firewall for branch offices. Additionally, we use the Sophos XG, RED firewall for extending the network, and the Sophos Intercept X to complement the firewalls.

The features that we're currently using are mainly just for the endpoint protection, which is for the service and the workstations. We basically use it for the servers, the main servers, and then from there for the client, which is basically the laptops and the PCs.

We use this solution for IPsec & site-to-site SSL VPN. My environment involves connecting all of our branches with the head office through one Sophos XG 210 device. This is done using IPsec and SSL VPN, after which we apply a web filter, as well as an application filter to ensure that we are getting a secure connection.

I use this solution in both the home and office, and I am also a reseller of the product. It is used for Unified Threat Management for SMB to Mid-Size companies. It provides VPN solutions for our clients, and it has the absolute best UI in the industry.

We are partners with Palo Alto and several IT certificate vendors, like Sophos. We deploy Sophos UTM for customers. Internally we use Sophos, but we deploy solutions including both Sophos and Palo Alto Networks to our customers. We are an IT integration company. Our services include the deployment of security appliances. Our environment includes Sophos UTM for internal use, which means it is protecting the network. It is protecting our environment. We publish our services like the help desk, mail server, and other servers. Sophos UTM offers us protection for publishing and the VPN.

We use this solution for communication endpoint, encryption, and network security. We are focused on providing security software to the small to mid-market enterprises; the essence of our delivery is internet security.

A client wanted to trial Sophos UTM 9 before deploying it into a production environment because, historically, Sophos has not had the best of reputations in AWS. The client had used Sophos in other environments, hence they wanted to stick to what they know.

Threat management for servers is our primary use case. We're not using it on all workstations, just a few. We're primarily using it on servers. The version we're using is fully in the cloud, not on-prem.

Our primary use case of this solution is IDS and IPS. We also use it for application availability.

It is used as an antivirus.

* Firewalls * Developer access * VPN traffic * Rerouting and routing. I am using it to route traffic for developer access or regular traffic for my instances. I have a web application, and I control access to and from it in one of my environments.

Our Sophos UTM provides a secure VPN solution. It allows us to have a VPN solution that limits access to certain sensitive areas in our environment.

We are using as a firewall product.

Every single Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) has Sophos in front of it. I also use it for Outbound Gateways in my WorkSpaces environment.

My primary use case is as a VPN, a firewall and a web filter.

We were looking for a solution which provided a single view for both a wired and wireless network. We were previously using the Cyberoam 200ia firewall appliance and wanted an appliance which could support 1500 to 3000 corporate users. The solution also required a wireless access controller scalable to at least a 125 second wave 802.11 ac wireless access point. We purchased a Sophos XG 450 appliance with Sophos wireless access points.
