The solution is not ideal for use in large enterprises, it can be used efficiently for smaller enterprises. Sometimes, while pushing updates through the cloud console, updates do not get completed due to network dependency. The tool is easy to use but lacks in implementation. In the future, the solution should be able to handle the network issues effectively from the cloud console. The solution is a cloud product so it communicates with an environment through a network, therefore it should resolve issues automatically or provide precise information about endpoint connection failure.

The product’s licensing should be a little bit better during renewals. The product should provide a one-click option to renew the licenses. I shouldn’t have to click everything to find out when my license will expire. License administration will be a problem if I have too many computers or users.
The product’s AI implementation feature could be better for learning user behavior. There could be a feature to detect unsecured devices in the network similar to its older version. We need additional agents for it at present.
The problem was that it didn't support Windows 7. That's why I had to switch temporarily. So it should be more compatible with different operating systems.

It would be nice to have more features in vulnerability scanning, which I believe will happen eventually because it already has some basic functionalities.

It would be useful if they could automate the deployment more. We have to deploy agent management before deploying software. For Windows, they have an all-in-one package. However, this is not available for Linux. If they had an all-stack protection for Linux, Windows, and Mac, that would be ideal. Basic technical support could be better.

The solution's console management and deployment don't compare to Sophos. There is a general perception that ESET Endpoint Security is not an enterprise-grade product. The solution’s console management and scalability should be improved.
I would like for ESET to create a central management solution. This would make it practical to use the internet for medium-sized networks. The scalability of this solution could also improve.
I'm unsure as to if they could actually support a large enterprise. They need to continue to develop their position within the MDR market. They should develop an XDR solution. That would be the next step for them.
I can't speak to any missing features. It's not scalable in that you cannot use a license for multiple devices. We'd like the solution to make even more updates to ensure protection from the latest threats.
I would say this product can be improved if it fully protected everything like consolidated. I suspect there will be some changes required to ESET because some experts I know just moved to MDR. I can imagine there might be some issues that were not fully covered by the ESET Endpoint that would be covered by MDR that we're on now.
I saw a bunch of false positives which need to be fixed. They were not detailed. These false positives were not happening with other products which I saw. These false positives shouldn't even be there. They need to take a look at why they were happening and resolve the issue. There may be some configuration changes required, depending on the use case. The pricing could always be better. Easier functionality would be better. I'd like to see fewer add-ons and a more basic solution under a single product. Right now, everybody shows EDR as a separate thing.

I'm not aware of any areas that need improvement. What we need is the same as what we would need with any other malware product. It's got to keep up to date with the latest threats, which they do. It's always an ongoing thing with endpoint protection or really with any kind of security, you've got to be up on the latest threats.
There is no such thing as a 100% secure system. That said, the main problems are coming from the users and how they use the system, including how they open emails, go to the internet, et cetera. Maybe if they have a firewall system paired with ESET, so there are not as many concerns around the security of the WAN, that would be better. We hope that they can learn from and react to threats faster so that we are more protected in the future as new items arise. They need to update the system faster to ensure security is there in the case of new events. When users renew licenses, they should offer a discount.

It's not a top-ten product. However, it works fine. The deployment could be a bit better. We'd like the possibility of a software install in the server segment as well as the user segment PC. There tend to be a lot of bugs, although they do work to fix them. We do get false positives.
I don't see changing EDR in the cloud's future. Tool for being proactive. The proactive feature is excellent, but I do not believe ESET will make any changes to this feature in the future. But, proactive is excellent. I would like to see ESET include the Proactive feature. The process is killed by decision support. Unplug the endpoint book station from the network. If you do not use Cynet, it must be added to ESET Endpoint.

They should focus more on the offline market as well. Everybody is connected nowadays, and they want to do everything via cloud or fast internet connections, however, that's still not possible in many situations. The API integration with our system should be better.
Right now, the link between the Protect Server and the proxy features don't really work as intended. I've had a few other instances where the program stops running, and then you have to restore and reset it. If those features can be worked on, that would be very helpful. A bit more remote access would be ideal.

The speed of response of technical support could be faster. In business, everything happens really quickly, and we need them to be able to keep up. The interface is good. However, it could always be better. It could be more user-friendly.
In terms of areas for improvement, I didn't see any from ESET Endpoint Security because what's important is that it works as an antivirus solution. I do find its pricing expensive here in Hungary, so if the price could be lower, that would be good. ESET Endpoint Security is an antivirus, so it only needs to stop the virus. If it had other features, I wouldn't need it. Every program or solution has specific functions and in this case, ESET Endpoint Security is worth it as an antivirus, though in the next release of the solution, it would be better if there's some improvement in its antivirus database.
ESET Endpoint Security lacks some advanced functionalities and features which would be useful to be interconnected with the solutions we use, such as Microsoft 365.
When we rule a scanner process on the heart risk, it is very slow and overloads the machine. It would be beneficial if we could run a back process. I would like to see more listings added in the next release of ESET Endpoint. The new versions only support no operative systems in Mac and do not support operative systems.

I'm not the person who can suggest some improvements. I haven't covered all of ESET as it is big. I haven't used it all. I'm just touching the surface of it and therefore can't tell how good it is. So far, it's good. That said, I haven't looked at 50% of it. It can be hard to set up if you need to customize it. Maintenance can take a while.

For the most part, I'm really satisfied with ESET Endpoint Security. It works in the background and that is one of the reasons that I went with this solution. It doesn't bog down my computer, for the most part. That's probably one of the things that could be improved. It's not a huge thing, because it doesn't happen very often, but I'll notice sometimes, when there's a startup scan, the computer does bog down a little bit. However, this happens rarely.
ESET Endpoint Antivirus can improve by having better EDR intelligence and automation. The EDR still needs lots of human interpretation. It can be better if add more intelligence to the EDR part of the endpoint protection.

The detection could be better in ESET Endpoint Security. Sometimes it takes time to detect threats and might be because it's not holding all the memory. There are some features that have to mature. More features might be available in the higher-end product. The cloud version of the solution could improve.
ESET's updates are mostly manual. That's my biggest concern. I'd like it to be more automatic. I've had to download the new version and run it manually to install it. I've got several workstations like that right now. All security solutions seem to update automatically these days. I think there are good technical reasons for that.
I would like for the solution to be simpler to understand. While it satisfies our needs at the moment, it is really only understandable to those with a strong computer background. It could be more user-friendly. The solution should provide a basic standard and give instructions on how one could go about doing more complex tasks. When it comes to basic capabilities, it is fine and straightforward, so I have no complaint in this regard. The solution could be more cost-effective, but this is a blanket statement which can be made about anything.
They recently released an EDR integration. I hope they have more AI or intelligence filtering on the EDR events. Even though it has already got AI, but it is quite a different thing. So, they still have room to improve on the EDR part. This is one small piece that they need to improve. Otherwise, it is just fine.

Everything about the solution is pretty good. I don't think I can find fault in it. The management of the solution isn't as clear as it could be. They could adjust that to make it a better product.
ESET Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) is a cybersecurity solution designed to protect businesses of all sizes against a wide array of cyber threats.
