The solution's initial setup process is lengthy. The tool takes a bit of time to download. When you are at the tail end of starting up a meeting, installing Webex will delay you.
If customers cannot renew their subscription within one year, Cisco should give them a two to three-month extension. It will allow the customers to continue with the subscription and sessions. The solution must provide a plan to extend the subscription by three months.
Webex has issues. If you use Zoom on Microsoft Team, Webex can look complicated since, at times, voice or audio is an area that may not be very clear. Problems start when a large number of users try to use the solution, but it starts to function better automatically when the count of the people involved in the product comes down, making it seem like a not-so-scalable tool. The scalability and voice quality attached to the solution are areas of concern where improvements are required.

Webex is a very demanding application, so it requires a very heavy bandwidth. The aforementioned area can be considered for improvement in the product. The pros of the product overshadow the product's cons.
The product's user interface is an area with shortcomings, making it an area where improvements are required. In the future, I would like to see Webex provide integration capabilities with Microsoft. The quality of the services offered by the support team needs to be improved.
One area that could use improvement in Webex is the connection speed. There are times when the platform feels a bit slow, which impacts the overall experience.

In terms of improvement, every time I want to join a meeting on the web, I have to download an extension or the desktop app. It would be better if I could just join meetings directly on the web without extra downloads and steps. Simplifying this process would make things more straightforward and convenient for users like me.
In terms of features, it would be beneficial for Webex to focus on improving its chat functionality to make it more user-friendly. Additionally, enhancing communication operations to create a friendlier user experience would be advantageous. Other individuals who have tried using it faced challenges when attempting to share content with third parties during conversations or meetings.
Currently, I'm unable to find any loophole in Webex, but in terms of areas for improvement, it would be better if a user is informed about any new updates or new features added to the tool.
When I use it personally, not in my enterprise, there is a time limit of about 60 minutes. After one hour, the call gets cut off. This limit should be increased.
The GUI of Webex should be improved. The connectivity for putting people inside the meetings or entering meetings is to be improved. When you mute or unmute someone in Webex it causes a tone or a sound that can be distracting. For example, in Microsoft Teams when someone is muted or unmuted it is silent. When we have a meeting with 100 people the noises are too much. Webex needs to reduce the number of noises activated by using the solution.

The video requirement is kind of high. It requires a more stable network. There should be something done to compress the video - to compress the video size, not the quality while still maintaining good quality. Everything just needs to be shrunk down without sacrificing quality so that not so much bandwidth is needed in order to hold meetings effectively.
Webex could improve the sharing features. Everybody these days uses virtual meeting solutions because we're all remote working. It would be a benefit if there were permanent collaboration spaces for projects. For example, the way Teams has its teams folders and shared locations. Webex is missing that feature, or maybe it has it and I'm not aware of it. However, it needs a permanent sharing location for when projects can get stored and can be a collaboration space as opposed to only a meeting space.

This platform has a lot of performance problems and challenges, particularly with the connection. Connecting is as easy as clicking on a link, but if you connect with so many people, Webex doesn't perform well. It doesn't run smoothly. It requires stable internet connection.

Webex's Bluetooth functionality could be better. For example, I use Webex on my Android mobile phone and connect with Bluetooth. It connects, but I cannot speak through the Bluetooth microphone and earphones with Webex. It's always disabled. I don't know why. Also, if I want to pause my screen or mute my microphone, I have to go through several menus. I want easy access to that option.

It is difficult for me to put my finger exactly on what needs to be improved with the solution. This said, I feel the greatest issue with the solution is its price. Small governments and modest-sized schools simply cannot afford it.
An opportunity they could benefit from would be a version that includes meeting transcription. I usually use a third-party product to do transcription. In terms of Screen share, it would be helpful to have more control over what is being presented on the screen. They may have that functionality, but I've never used it. For example, being able to click back to look at previous slides, even though the presenter has gone forward, or having some type of pointer mechanism that helps to call out different areas of the screen when presenting. They may already have a function for this that I am not aware of, but I would like to see more whiteboarding capabilities. I would think of this in terms of post-it notes or other things where you can facilitate some interactive engagement. There are products like Miro and CloudBoard, as well as a slew of others of a similar nature. I believe Microsoft Teams has something similar built-in. But, given how much time people spend in online meetings, I believe there should be ways to engage or create more engagement with the participants.

The performance of WebEx could be improved. If you're using it on a mobile device and on the laptop, you sometimes get glitches, where you've answered the call or joined a meeting on a laptop and your mobile device doesn't quite know what's going on. It may just be technical glitches, but it seems to be a bit shaky sometimes on mobile devices.
I was in a meeting on the free version where there were no controls. You couldn't mute somebody or put it in dedicated speaker mode. It was an important meeting, and because of the lack of an ability to control who the speakers were, we got a version of a heckler. Well, it wasn't really a heckler per se. It was just somebody who thinks they know everything.

The main issue is the performance in relation to the operating system. The base application uses a lot of resources. They could work on the performance of the application so that it's less heavy.
The WebEx interface is not as user-friendly as Zoom's. There is room for improvement there. I ran into some connectivity issues with WebEx in previous versions but those have been fixed now.
We have actually shifted from Webex to Teams. It was a company decision made by a few of the managers. To make Webex more competitive, I would suggest lowering the price and providing some of the same features that are in Teams or Zoom.
Webex is clunky and it's hard to use. It's not simple. Webex is probably the most user-unfriendly of all of them. Whenever you're trying to get on it, it's an absolute pain.

They have a feature that is amazing but it's not implemented properly. It's called Profile Insight and it's similar to LinkedIn. Before you join a meeting, you can see the background of the person. But the problem is the implementation. There is so much missing information. This could be integrated with LinkedIn or something so it can produce more information about the person you're meeting with. Also, they've been announcing that they will add AI translation since 2019, but we're still not seeing that upgrade.

We had one problematic issue and that was with the recordings that were kept on the web. Initially they were auto archiving but then recordings were getting deleted after three months and we weren't aware of that change in their policy. I lost a lot of my recordings and I think they should have a longer retention period for the recordings. A private chat option would be a good addition to the solution. If you're in the middle of a meeting and you want to have a private chat with someone, it can be a useful feature.

The solution should come as a big client for the system. It should be able to be used just like chat software when necessary, similar to instant messaging. Currently, the solution isn't really lacking in features.
For what we use it for, I can't think of anything the solution is lacking. The initial implementation was a bit difficult. If they could simplify that aspect of the solution, it would be helpful for future users.
Sometimes the call quality is not that great. When you call in, especially in an international situation, or if you have people calling from different continents or geographical locations, there can be issues with the call itself. I would like to see improved chatting functionality. The chat boxes need to be more prominent. It would be nice if you could edit your chat, and easily add attachments into it, similar to Slack, to make it easier to share, sidebar, and communicate during calls. It's very important to add some sort of editing function into the chats. You want to be professional and fix any mistakes and not just leave them there.

There are too many issues with getting people connected to meetings. Reliability and consistency need improvement. I would like to see support for connecting with customers who don't have Webex installed and to improve the audio quality.
This solution would be much better if we could install an endpoint and have centralized management. This would allow me to subscribe, push an endpoint to the client, and then control these points. I would like to see the inclusion of security agents, for example from McAfee or Symantec, which can scan the communication for threats. This would help avoid problems if a user has malware on their machine. Webex would also be able to scan for malicious files.

My company does a lot of international calls. For some countries they do not have their local number to call in, all they have is a 1-800 number which is quite hard to find. If they want to improve they should set up the local number to call in. What would be beneficial.
I would like for them to include a collaboration tool so that you can directly do a video call or audio call to your colleagues or anyone in the office. They should also introduce a collaboration tool to include the features of audio call and video call.
I would like to see the addition of new features that will add value to the product. These include things including a faster save or download time for conferences.
I think options during a meeting can be further improved. You should explore a lot to see the information in the room, for example. The modification of the email template is not very intuitive.
Webex is designed to help companies improve communication and increase productivity with unlimited HD video meetings in shared meeting spaces.
Companies can use Webex, a Cisco product, to collaborate with peers, share documents and other information, create high-impact webinars and online events, and present dynamic online courses. It can be tailored to your exact company needs and can be fully integrated with mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, and BlackBerry.
