I am an Associate Director at a large consulting firm.
I am looking for a comparison between SAP Business One and SAP S/4HANA for the glass industry (manufacturing bottles and ware). Which tool do you prefer and why?

If the glass work order is steadily less product type, SAP B1 can be a good choice, considering the good ROI and infrastructure and it is less effort to maintain. It depends on the glass work order variant and BOM complex levels. The manufacturing costs for plan/actual cost need to accumulate, ex., by-product, co-product material. It is S/4H for sure.
SAP Business One is better for a small organization and S/4HANA prices are atrociously high.
it's based on the business size and required modules. so more infos are needed to specify exactly what you should choose. but in general, for small business, limited no of users and lower cost, you can can go with SAP B1. in case of medium and large business, large DB and reports , advanced tools as AI and BI, it's better to go with SAP S4/HANA
I recommend that for medium to large companies, like many in the Glass Industry, solutions can be implemented with S/4HANA.
