My major use case for mobile security is to secure mobile communication.
I am using the real-time scanning feature in Trend Micro Mobile Security. Whenever a message comes on my WhatsApp, Trend Micro Mobile Security can scan it, and whenever I press and click on that link, it immediately tells me not to click as it's harmful and malicious.
It's a very good system; whenever I install any product or application on my mobile phone, the application scanner scans and tells me about the vulnerabilities in the application. Most of the applications I have removed on the recommendation of Trend Micro Mobile Security.
I find App Reputation services beneficial.
Trend Micro Mobile Security is good at responding immediately and making the user aware of potential threats, which is a significant improvement over my previous experience with Kaspersky mobile security over 10 years ago. As of now, Trend Micro Mobile Security is efficient and a very good solution.
Mobile security has a positive impact, as one of my colleagues who didn't use Trend Micro Mobile Security had his WhatsApp hacked while traveling, with the hacker requesting money. The other colleagues and senior executives use Trend Micro Mobile Security on their mobile phones, and when we go to open Wi-Fi, Trend Micro Mobile Security notifies us that it's not safe.
The only disadvantage I see is that my mobile is very slow after installing this scanner.
There's no latency, but the response is slow; if the previous response without mobile security was 10 out of 10, with mobile security it's 8 out of 10. WhatsApp messages arrive only when I open the app; otherwise, they do not arrive.
This is the major problem bothering me today, nothing apart from this.
It's very slow; I might need to consider the model I am using since I have a middle-level Samsung mobile, while others use high-end devices.
I have been dealing with Trend Micro Mobile Security for three years, and now the fourth year will start soon, in October.
There's no latency, but the response is slow; if the previous response without mobile security was 10 out of 10, with mobile security it's 8 out of 10.
It's very easy to scale; we initially purchased it for standalone, and now we manage it through the console.
The technical support from Trend Micro Mobile Security is excellent; they inform us timely about attacks.
They always keep us informed; recently, the XDR team contacted us regarding a possible attack on one of my remote locations. We faced five ransomware attacks in the last four years, and by the grace of God, we are safe.
Positive
Trend Micro Mobile Security is good at responding immediately and making the user aware of potential threats, which is a significant improvement over my previous experience with Kaspersky mobile security over 10 years ago.
It's very easy to deploy; the user interface is straightforward and easy to understand.
We have a solution in the cloud.
I find it very cheap for the benefits we are availing.
In comparison with Kaspersky and Sophos, I think Trend Micro Mobile Security is more affordable.
For the Vision One security, which includes the deep security feature, it's quite expensive due to the virtual patching feature; without that, it's very cheap. We renewed it for $350 per server per annum, which is expensive for Trend Micro Mobile Security, but mobile security is very cheap at $10 per annum.
For mobile security, we bought it directly from online trendmicro.com, and for Vision One, we contacted the country head of Trend Micro Mobile Security in Pakistan, who recommended vendors. Macer Cyber Risk is our technology partner; for Sophos, Comstar is our vendor, and for Kaspersky, we bought it from Trillium Security.
In comparison with Kaspersky and Sophos, I think Trend Micro Mobile Security is more affordable.
I work with the same technology, as I have renewed Trend Micro Mobile Security.
I'm using mobile security as well, and we are exploring options with Trend Micro DLP, Data Loss Prevention. Vendors are aligned for the POC, Proof of Concept.
The security management task is managed by our security leader, assistant manager in my company, who is responsible for managing the Trend Micro Mobile Security console and Sophos console. Everything is managed by the IT team.
We are using almost the latest equipment, and we upgrade our systems every year, every quarter, so there is no integration issue reported as of now.
It automatically updates the patterns, so there is no need for manual updates.
I don't think there's anything lacking; everything is already in place, and every option is available.
I would give a rating of nine for technical support from Trend Micro Mobile Security.
On a scale of 1-10, I rate Trend Micro Mobile Security a 10.

Currently, I am working mostly with Trend Micro Mobile Security and other cybersecurity products besides endpoint security.
We are actually a competitor of Trellix, but we have been working on some PAM solutions and some SIEM solutions.
Regarding endpoint security, EDR and XDR, we are working with Trend Micro Mobile Security.
For Trend Micro Mobile Security, we are working with their entire suite, including everything they offer: EDR, XDR, NDR solutions, deep security services, and threat assessments.
When discussing PAM solutions, Trend Micro Mobile Security does not offer PAM in their portfolio, but we work with Delinea and RevBits for PAM.
RevBits is a relatively new product in the Pakistani market. Overall, it is approximately seven or eight years old.
The product name is REV (R for Romeo, E for Echo, V for Victor) BITS.
Trend Micro Mobile Security DLP is not as strong as actual DLP solutions such as Forcepoint. When we pitch DLP to our clients, we usually recommend Forcepoint. However, if someone wants a DLP feature rather than a complete DLP solution, we can provide it through Trend Micro Mobile Security.
The technical support is quite good because Trend Micro Mobile Security has their own team in Pakistan. The distributors have their own teams and they help partners develop technical skills. We have three layers of technical support. They offer direct support from Trend Micro Mobile Security at some cost if you want an SLA with them. They respond quickly and you can sign an SLA to monitor their SOC 24/7 for Trend Micro Mobile Security products. Compared to other products selling in Pakistan, they have superior technical teams and support.
Regarding security, they are at the top of their game. Their security capabilities are quite strong. However, they could improve the prices of Trend Micro Mobile Security products, which are quite expensive. Additionally, some of their products are not user-based, meaning the licensing is based on database or traffic volume. For example, email security, especially when using it on the cloud, requires a device or hardware at the gateway to protect emails. The cost depends on the traffic volume, which can become quite expensive depending on how much traffic passes through.
I have been working with Trend Micro Mobile Security for almost two years now.
As a wish list item, the tracking feature should be capable of providing exact location of the mobile device, even when it is turned off. The current tracking options are similar to other products. The advantage is that you can block mobile phones from the server. If using your mobile for office use, you can save your data as it is stored on the cloud. This is a significant advantage of having Trend Micro Mobile Security for mobile services.
The system is not extremely simple but it is not particularly difficult either. It is seamless, though only a trained and certified engineer can perform the installation. It is not user-friendly enough for someone without mobile security knowledge to install and configure the mobile security solution. A technically proficient person who is trained on the product is definitely needed.
Regarding app reputation services and app update solutions, we do not receive many complaints from our clients about Trend Micro Mobile Security products, particularly regarding updates or other direct issues. They are very quick to update their engines. When clients face issues that affect their networks, the response and resolution time is very quick. Overall, they are quite good, primarily because they have their own team on the ground here compared to other products.
Positive
Trend Micro Mobile Security is a very good and strong product for mobile security. Previously, I used to provide Kaspersky Mobile Security solutions. When comparing the two, Trend Micro Mobile Security is considerably stronger and much better than Kaspersky.
The encryption capability is one of their notable features. If you lose your mobile device or it is stolen, you can block it from your server. They also have a location tracking feature, though it could be stronger. The blocking feature is very robust.
Their virus engine updates very frequently and remains current. When comparing Trend Micro Mobile Security with Kaspersky in terms of how many spyware or spam instances each stops, or the strength of their virus engines, Trend Micro Mobile Security has a slight edge over Kaspersky.
At present, I cannot think of any additional features required in the mobile security solution.
I rate Trend Micro Mobile Security a 9 out of 10.

We use Trend Micro Mobile Security for mobile communication security. All of our mobile communications pass through the Trend Micro firewall, providing a secure channel, including our mobile application security for management people's emails.
The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Mobile Security is the security it provides. Our mobiles are secured through this channel. The interface is used by the team members to install it on all employees' mobiles, allowing us to manage operation-side applications effectively.
There is a delay issue when receiving emails on mobile compared to a laptop. The laptop receives the email earlier than the mobile.
We have been using Trend Micro Mobile Security for more than three years.
The solution is relatively stable, and I have not noticed any glitches.
We have both iOS and Android systems, and Trend Micro Mobile Security works fine on both, indicating it is scalable.
The support is very good. We have a partner system in place, where the service providers take support from Trend Micro and provide it to us, effectively working as a middleman.
Neutral
The initial setup is easy to use according to feedback from my team.
Our team finds it manageable, as we have only twenty-five users, so one person is enough for this deployment.
Trend Micro Mobile Security is competitively priced. During a comparative analysis at the time of acquisition, we found it to be very good in terms of value for money.
I rate Trend Micro Mobile Security an eight out of ten. The only issue is the email delay when compared to receiving emails on a laptop. Overall I would rate the solution at an 8 out of 10.

I am reselling various Trend Micro products. For small business customers, I typically recommend the Worry Free product line, which includes Worry Free Services. Apex One and VisionOne are also part of the offerings.
In terms of threat prevention, the web reputation feature is usually the most valuable because it prevents users from clicking on malicious sites. For endpoint protection, Apex One and VisionOne are crucial. The solution effectively detects virus trends and prevents threats.
The main challenge with Trend Micro Mobile Security for iPhone users is the complex setup process due to Apple's stringent security requirements. This results in additional steps, making the process confusing for non-technical users.
Overall, the support is effective once you reach level three, where real competence is present. However, it can be frustrating due to layers of support that delay reaching level three. The technical support is generally not the best for all Trend Micro products.
Neutral
The initial setup for Trend Micro Mobile Security is straightforward and easy to manage.
The product is very cheap and included in many bundles. However, the main issue is often the negligence of customers to stay protected on their devices.
I would recommend Trend Micro Mobile Security to every company.
I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.

I've used it for myself, our company, and our customers.
One of our customer use cases is to set specific applications to be used on the mobile and to allow for no other application to be used.
Customers have been able to give mobile devices to their employees and restrict the applications on the devices. It allowed for static mobile devices and was able to block social media.
Application control is the most valuable feature.
The solution can scale.
Setting up the product is not too difficult.
When the agent upgrades itself, it loses some settings and they need to be re-enabled manually. This needs to be adjusted so that doesn't happen.
The solution needs DLP on the solution.
I've used the solution for seven years.
The solution is largely stable. I'd rate it seven out of ten.
The solution can scale well. I'd rate it ten out of ten.
We do not have plans to increase usage in the future.
Technical support could be better.
Neutral
The setup is pretty straightforward. It is not an overly complex process.
I have witnessed an ROI while using the solution.
The solution is not sold separately; it is part of a suite.
We are using the latest version of the solution.
I'd advise users to list all of the support and operating systems they'd like to work with and to cross-reference with the solution.
I'd rate the solution six out of ten.

We use the solution from our US counterpart. We've been seeing some new computers in the US. Some are in Minneapolis and Wisconsin, and they're also using Trend Micro.
Their ransomware protection is useful.
Trend Micro tends to drain the battery running in the background, but apart from that, they need to improve their updates. Additionally, an improvement that I want is for the dashboard to be more detailed.
We've been using Trend Micro Mobile Security for five years. We are using the latest version.
The solution is stable, though we encounter very minor issues that we can, as IT, solve.
The solution is very scalable.
Technical support is very helpful, prompt, and active. I haven't had any problems with them so far. They're very responsive to our emails.
We went with Malwarebytes before, but it was very strict because it automatically deleted files. We also worked with Sophos Mobile and Microsoft. I remember one of my colleagues using Norton.
Initial setup is very easy. You just have to deploy it, and you can do that if you are familiar with Endpoint Manager or SCCM. Or you can have it send a link by email, and it just downloads and auto-installs. There's just a security agent you need to install, and then after that, boom, it will appear on your dashboard. The solution is not difficult to maintain because it is automated.
Trend Micro Mobile Security is cheap and scalable. It's not that very heavy on your phone. I never tried any other solution, but the experience with Trend Micro has been good.
If you can afford it, you should get it if you are paranoid about security. There are free security products, but Trend Micro is premium. I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
Trend Micro Mobile Security is used to filter and protect the environment from dangerous websites, and unsafe networks.
Trend Micro Mobile Security is a good solution.
It will reduce the vulnerability level for safe browsing.
There is always room for improvement in security.
We implemented Trend Micro Mobile Security for a school, nine months ago.
Based on what I have seen to date, Trend Micro Mobile Security is a stable solution.
Trend Micro Mobile Security is a scalable product.
I have one customer in our organization who uses this solution. It is used in a school.
I have no issues with the technical support from Trend Micro Mobile Security.
It is very easy to install. A link is sent to the devices, the end-user can click on the link and it will install the solution.
We are able to complete the installation ourselves.
We implement products for our customers.
We have a license that we renew yearly.
I would recommend this solution to others.
I would rate Trend Micro Mobile Security an eight out of ten.

We have had requests from some of our clients that have a bigger mobile environment, where the clients bring their own devices and connect it to the network, and they need access to an encrypted file. Most of the time they use an endpoint encryption mobile device itself and they want to control access for those users. Mostly it is related to the mobile device protection itself which would include the upload and anti-virus. It has to have encryption if there any files being downloaded from the network itself. These are most of the use-cases that we have worked on.
From a technical point of view, I don't have much to give in terms of feedback on what could be improved. But there have been some users who have been complaining about the interface being unfriendly and when the application software is installed on their phone making their mobile slow, a little bit laggy. It should be taking less processing. It just depends on the mobile phone.
Apart from this, I haven't seen many use-cases of it being deployed on a large scale. We haven't had the experience of it deployed on a very large scale so I'm not sure how it would perform in that environment, so I can't say anything about this.
I have been using Trend Micro Mobile Security for almost a year and a half or so.
Stability hasn't been an issue because we've had some cases where we had to integrate Micro and another product. It was seamless, no issues, everything works smoothly. Even if it had to work with Trend Micro modules. It was very simple, very straightforward, nothing complex about it.
Customer service has been excellent. Trend Micro has very good deals and support - also in the Middle East, which I know because I am located here in the Middle East. We have most of our clients here in the Middle East. They have a huge presence here, and support has never been an issue for us or for our clients. So support has been good.
Pricing can vary from situation to situation. But to be honest, I don't have much exposure to the prices because I'm mostly looking into the technical part. So I can't give you much about the prices here.
On a scale of one to ten, if I speak specifically about the endpoint protection, I would rate it an eight, because I haven't had much experience working on their other products. But from the perspective of their endpoint protection, their sandbox technology is very nice. So I think it would be eight, overall.
I would strongly want Micro to work on their other products as well, such as Mobile Device Security, because we have had some difficulties introducing this product to other clients who have larger environments. They are not very comfortable opting for Trend Micro, even for IoT security. We have had some clients who are looking for IoT security but they weren't very comfortable going for Trend Micro and are choosing other products because of the use-cases and their strong backing. I believe there are some products which Trend Micro can include besides only endpoint protection, which they are good at it. But on the other hand, their mobile device IOT could be bigger. If they can improve on those, I believe I can give it a nine out of ten, without thinking twice.
We primarily implement the solution for our clients and apply it to some mobile drives. We take our IRIS file and connect the solution to our mobile devices so that there's more firm protection.
We have some GPS locations and we can tag devices on the Trend Micro Mobile Protection server. This way, we can find them if they are lost. We can lock the device from our servers. If someone finds anything and tries to take the data, we can block the data or delete it. Also, if there's a hypermobile we can get special permission from our side and add that permission on our server so we can add items onto our SIEM card for mobile protection.
The fact that protection is heightened is the solution's most valuable aspect.
You can access your mobile system wherever your mobile is located and you can check the customers that are there.
There are many interesting features, but the most interesting is the ability to flag your system and mobile device from your server.
The solution offers a lot of custom features.
The system is very user-friendly.
Sometimes, when generating random numbers to our mobile feed the random number doesn't work. We mainly deal with QR codes because of this. If they could fix the random number generator that would be helpful.
I did my first deployment of Trend Micro in 2018 and my second deployment in February of 2019.
The solution is stable.
I have seen other products for mobile protection but I really like Trend Micro because it's different. I can manage my server and my mobile because both are connected to the terminal. It's great.
The solution is scalable. It gives you a lot of features and it is easy to enter any ticket. Anyone can work on it. If he or she has some background in mobile protection, they can easily manage it.
I'm working on the vendor side and we provide support for a government bank in Pakistan. The bank bought a license package of 2,500 but are only using 500 licenses currently, so they can still scale quite a bit when they need to
The technical support for the solution is awesome. When we have to open a case for any user, they do a review of it and give it to the call center for us so that the technical support team can be more efficient in regards to addressing the underlying problem. They handle all of the issues.
I currently also use Kaspersky Security for end-to-end protection. However, I don't use any mobile protection from them. This is the first time that I worked with Trend Micro Mobile Protection.
The initial setup is very simple. We needed a vendor machine solution in 2016. We got two machines that were maybe 16GB RAM or 8GB RAM, depending on the requirements that were needed at the time. With this rather straightforward setup, it was easy to install. After installation, we implemented everything quickly and all the features were available to us. Trend Micro products, all their products, are very user-friendly so everyone can easily manage it.
We deployed multiple products at the time we did the implementation, not just Mobile Security. Our customer on the project was a bank. Due to the fact that it was more than one product, it took some more time. It may have taken two or three days.
I handled the implementation myself but I had some queries which I discussed with Trend Micro. After installation, I discussed some issues with them and consultants and they helped me work through the process. No one else helped me or did the job for me. They just taught me what I needed to do.
Each license costs about $10/year. It's fairly inexpensive because it's a new product. In Pakistan, no more than two or three companies can apply for mobile protection right now. I don't know if there are ancillary costs above the standard licensing fee.
I am working in a vendor company that partners with Trend Micro here in Pakistan, so this why we use it.
When we originally deployed the solution it was an old version, however, now we are up to date with the newest version. It may be version 9.5 or 9.6.
I'd recommend the solution because it is so customizable and user-friendly. I'd rate it ten out of ten.
My primary use case is the protection of the system environment. It helps prevent intrusion of my system by unknown activities.
This solution is able to protect the data, files, and folders that have been hijack or encrypted.
This solution is weak and cannot detect the latest ransomware.
I have been using this solution for ten years.
